MUSE-INGS: Can you live Oneness? by Rosemary Bredeson

Are you connected with New Thought?  This seems to be defining a sort of movement among humans.  Are you willing to explore this?

We get so wedded to the beliefs and ideas in our own minds that we think they define reality. ‘You have to work hard to make money.’  ‘You have to be skinny to be beautiful.’  ‘Girls can’t do math.’

I could make a list a mile long and there would still be more beliefs at work. [As an aside, I’m glad I didn’t believe that last one because I did major in Math in college!]  But often these beliefs are at an unconscious level within us and we are unaware that they are at work in our lives.

But if unconscious beliefs are operating in our lives then what do we do to make a shift?  The first place to do this is to examine our beliefs.  Working with what we believe instead of trying to change the world around us is a powerful tool for personal growth.  If we understand the concept of Oneness we look through the eyes of connection to others instead of searching for differences to separate us.

I think we need to be open to the concepts that are being brought to our attention at any given time.  In political discussions, the question to ask is, ‘Am I looking at this issue within the concept of the Oneness of all or am I narrowing my perspective to my own position without regard to others or the whole?’  In our families, do we act in the world as if we are a unit or are we constantly competing with others?  In our work are we collaborative or competitive to the point of lying or taking unscrupulous actions?

In a personal relationship it is easy to act unconsciously in a way that does not take the other person’s feelings, views, beliefs into account.  What if, instead, we stepped into their shoes and looked through the lens of their reality and beliefs?  Might we see things differently?

Quantum Physics is showing us that there is a connection through space and time that calls into question a lot of our beliefs about a mechanistic Universe.  Modern mind-body medicine is showing us that our bodies are not machines but are so much greater than just some moving mechanical parts.  All of this is a part of New Thought.  We have greater understanding of The Greater.

More evidence arrives constantly to show us that there are other sentient beings in the Universe.  The Hubble Space Telescope, which it was my privilege to work on for 12 years, continues to reveal the secrets of the Universe so that we can better understand our place within this developing miracle.

The people who have lived with narrow, stifling beliefs about their superiority over others, about judging others and finding them failing, about the need to convert others to their beliefs because they have ‘the Truth’ are starting to lose their power.  Individuals are evolving into a New Human who understands that one can be a part of a whole, interconnected and related, while maintaining their individuality.

Ask yourself how you understand Oneness in the 21st Century. Does the concept bring up any fear in you?  Are you willing to see all who are inhabiting our beautiful Planet Earth as part of your own journey, for better or for education?

Just observe this week the people around you and see if you can learn something about New Thought.  Who is having the conversation about what is a growth topic versus what sounds like backward thinking?  Do not judge for that is not a factor of Oneness.  Merely observe.  And observe your reaction to what you see and hear.  Notice how others treat those around them.

Peace on Planet Earth will come when her inhabitants embrace each other as Earthlings.  Peace on a large scale requires that individuals experience peace within themselves.

May the experience of Oneness spread Peace upon the Planet.

THIS WEEK’S MYSTIC MESSAGE from The Divine Feminine: “It is Time.”

Dear Ones,

It’s time.  It is time to break out of the mold of old ways of thinking and to try on New Thought if you wish to change the world.

Some people are trying to take the world backwards toward a fantasy world they’ve created in their own minds.  Others spend so much time railing about what is wrong in their world that they miss all the beauty with which they are surrounded.

Change for the sake of change is not the direction we are discussing here.  But change that allows the old thoughts, often as heavy as concrete, to break apart and to float away is the kind of change that allows an individual, a society, and the planet’s human inhabitants to grow into their greatest selves.

It is time that this happen.

Do not look to the world leaders to bring about this change, for they are too invested in the old ways to allow New Thought to influence them.  Do not look to large corporations for innovation from the New Thought perspective because they, too, are overly invested in the status quo.  Do not believe that religions will lead the movement into New Thought because religions exist in limited spheres of thought, with no room for New Thought to creep into their belief structures.  These religious belief structures are often concretized and keep people from exploring ideas beyond the boundaries of their own religion.

Those people on Planet Earth in the 21st Century who are willing to explore new ideas will be the ones who lead the change.  This change must start within individuals.  As more individuals grow, expand, and allow their inner light to shine, then more groups, communities, societies will be able to change.

The momentum is already here.  When you relax and get into harmony with Mother Earth you can feel it.  When you connect with a like-minded individual you sense this energy.

So what is New Thought?

New Thought emerges from an understanding that each individual who is incarnated on Planet Earth at this time is here for a particular purpose.  Discovering one’s Life Purpose and making that manifest in the world starts the conversion to New Thought in the society around an individual.  There is an energy associated with this process that stimulates those around a person who is living their destiny.

New Thought does not mean thought that has been generated only in the last few years for many of the ideas are centuries, even millennia, old.  But the thread of New Thought that has existed on the planet for millennia has been an undercurrent, not the main belief structure of the masses.

When one studies New Thought one learns that the individual is a part of a whole, that oneness is the principle at work here and that duality does not describe the coming reality for Planet Earth.  New Thought is founded on the concept that All Are One.  Moving in the direction of connection rather than separation is the hallmark of one who adheres to the beliefs inherent in New Thought.

If the principle of Oneness defines the coming energies on the Planet then those who advocate separation, duality, otherness, will not be able to be a part of the future energies on the Planet.  Their beliefs will create their parallel reality that will not be connected to those who understand New Thought.

This is a deep topic that must be studied, expanded upon, detailed and defined by experiencing Oneness.  If one has had this experience, one cannot undo the effect of the understanding that All Are One.  As more and more people have this experience the Earth will shift in many ways.

Make sure that you are one of the ones who grasps the concept of Oneness!  If you do not know where to start, find a teacher who can assist you in the journey.

And so it is.

MUSE-INGS: “The Muse Speaks” by Rosemary Bredeson

‘I do everything the voices in my head tell me to do’ reads the tee shirt.  Or the husband wears the one with ‘I do everything the voices in my wife’s head tell her to tell me to do.’

We joke about hearing a voice so much that we label as insane anyone who says they hear a voice.  But why is that so bad?  Granted, there are some people who are not able to distinguish between their life and a myriad of voices that they hear and they do have a struggle with sanity.  But sane people can be connected with other voices and can learn from the guidance available.

I have a friend who suffered from Meniere’s Disease and had pain and ringing in her ears.  It lasted for 7 years until she agreed that she would channel the guidance coming from a Muse named ‘Rose.’  The disease went away when she started sharing the messages she was receiving.  She is sane and has been very helpful to a lot of people since that day.

My granddaughter used to give people messages from their power animals when she was 5-6 years old.  She was hearing what the animals wanted the person to know that day.  She is now a happy, healthy teenager who wants to be a veterinarian.

I could list a lot of people who have heard voices.  Have you ever felt a voice inside that seems to be saying, ‘Call your friend’?  And when you do, your friend says, ‘I was just thinking about you’?  We’ve all had this experience.

When faced with issues in our lives we often focus on the ‘Woe is me!’ thought instead of asking for and listening to guidance.  And when faced with the proverbial blank page at the start of a creative project, who hasn’t wished they had The Muse standing in the room with them to drop the ideas into their head?

Often when I work with clients, especially in the Mystic Transformation Days where we spend a whole day together delving into developing their roadmap through the next steps for them, the messages come through with new possibilities, new ways to view what is going on, new insights and tools and directions to follow.  In that way, I can act as a Muse, an inspiration, reaching beyond the problems into other dimensions where the solutions dwell.

Anyone who is willing can learn to reach into those solution spaces by allowing their thoughts to drift into ‘What if?’ territory.  Staring at a blank page of paper doesn’t necessarily bring ideas with which to fill the paper, but relaxing one’s vision as one looks at the paper can allow an image to emerge that calls the person to become a scribe for The Muse.

It is said that many geniuses took naps to find solutions to their problems.  This allows the person to get out of their own way and to allow creative ideas to emerge.  Contact your Muse while you sleep.  Incubate the dream of your solution or the germ of your creative idea by simply asking, before you sleep, for your Muse to inspire you [and to help you remember the dream!].

Try living your life this week in the ‘What if?’ mode and see what possibilities your Muse shows you!  And, if you get stuck, I’m happy to be Your Muse!

THIS WEEK’S MYSTIC MESSAGE from The Divine Feminine: “What if You had a Muse?”

Dear Ones,

The Muse.  Who is your Muse?  Where do you go when you seek information, guidance, creative ideas?

Do you even believe that you have a Muse available to you?  Why do you think this concept has been so prevalent in history if the inspiration of a Muse were not always available?

Great geniuses throughout human history have listened to the music that their Muse has played in their mind.  Even those who went deaf or blind have been able to produce amazing works of composition because their Muse connected them with the Source of Creativity in the Universe.

You, too, have available to you a connection to the Source of Creativity in the Universe.  You do not need to be a great genius in the field of music, art, theater, literature to connect to this Creativity.  The Muse is available to you to solve far more problems than the composition of your next great piece of art!

Think about the problems that you must solve in your everyday life.  We know that many of you struggle with financial issues, with relationship problems, with career questions.  Problems big and small can have creative solutions to them if you reach beyond where you sit in the middle of the problem and connect with the Source of Creativity to find those solutions.  Great genius in the field of Science, for example, has not come from those who insist on doing things the way they have always been done.  Someone who is doing the same thing over and over in a certain way will never have a new result.

But the person who tries a new approach, who wonders, “What if?” will be the one who comes up with a novel solution.

And it is The Muse who answers “What if?” questions.

How often do you allow yourself to ponder the “What if?” questions of your life?  True creativity comes from this exploration, not from staying with the familiar or never trying something new.  Great inventions do not come from thinking “But we’ve always done it this way!”  Do you connect with The Muse when you are in a problem-solving mode or do you look for ways to repeat old patterns and hope for new results?

Think about this in the context of relationships.  If you are constantly acting a certain way and getting the same response each time in a relationship, have you considered that perhaps it is you who must try executing a “What if?” step in the dance of that relationship?

And if you are struggling with problems with finances or your work, think about asking The Muse to help you connect to creative solutions to those problems.  Ponder the “What ifs?” of the situation.

The life of the human on Planet Earth is not as restricted to the dimensions of the 3-dimensional world plus the 4th dimension of Time.  There are many dimensions beyond those four that hold more information if you simply reach up into them.

This guidance comes from beyond the typical source in the 3-dimensional world.  We and others offer this guidance so that you can live a Conscious Life to the fullest extent possible.

Reach for the guidance of The Muse.  Find a way to connect.  Or find a person to connect through so that you can have the services of Your Muse.  Live your Conscious Life creatively!

And so it is.

MUSE-INGS: “Can you feel the Energy of Oneness?” by Rosemary Bredeson

Are you hearing the Hum of the Universe?  Are you ready to raise your vibrational level?  And what does all this mean?

The first meaning of this message has to be a charge to us to move away from a life of fear.  Too many people are struggling in fear and living their lives without a sense of community because fear has caused them to distrust others.  Somehow, those who live in fear are concerned that they won’t have enough and that, if you do have what you need, you are taking something away from them.  I’m not sure where this myth started but I have some ideas.

What if people started to examine their fears to see if they are real?  If there really is a sabre-toothed tiger chasing you then you should probably run [or do something to protect yourself].  But if there is a societal problem then perhaps being in fear is not the most resourceful place to be.  What if, instead of hoarding or trying to keep you from having something so that my store isn’t diminished, we worked together to find solutions so that everyone is taken care of?  This is what community is all about.

Remember the Y2K concerns and how some people were stocking up on supplies in case transportation was disrupted, some communities were making arrangements for people to be taken care of, and some folks felt it necessary to stock up on bullets in case someone tried to get food or water from them?

Well, humanity needs to evolve beyond that.  The Energy of Oneness brings us into an awareness of the Other, all those other people who are connected to us, whether we know them or not.  Awareness of the needs of self and others can foster compassion in us, if we allow that to be so.  Or it can trigger that ‘gather up the bullets so I can protect what is mine’ energy.  Which do you choose today?

Think about this message and the Hum of the Universe that is being noticed.  We can choose the vibrational level at which we operate.  We can choose to open our hearts to be active within the energy of Love.  We can eat, shop, relate to Mother Earth responsibly and choose to lift our own vibration.  We can advocate and share and connect with others to help the community experience a raised vibration.

I recently worked at a Self Care Fair sponsored by the GLBT Chamber of Commerce in Colorado Springs.  Among many interesting conversations we talked about our ‘aha’ moments and living our passions.  When is the last time you had a deep and meaningful conversation with friends and/or acquaintances about subjects that went beyond the surface of shallow topics?  Creating deep connections with others in our communities will help us to live the Energy of Oneness.

One of the participants in these conversations is a coach who said that she had someone assume she was a witch because she used words like ‘transformation’ and ‘alignment’ to describe her coaching programs.  Imagine the fear under which one must operate to leap from the word ‘transformation’ to being afraid of a witch!  Obviously, this person was taught to fear and even words that should have been neutral disturbed her so much that she leapt to the conclusion that only a witch would use them and, to her, ‘witch’ was also something to fear.  How sad.

Listen to the Hum of the Universe and let go of fear.  You are a part of a community of Sensitives who are responding to this Hum by focusing on Oneness, not separation.  Take comfort that there are many others who hear the Hum and who are buoyed by the knowledge that humanity is evolving into greater consciousness.

Welcome to the community of the fully human!

MUSE-INGS: ‘Why? Why? Why?’ by Rosemary Bredeson

Remember the two-year-old asking, ‘Why? Why? Why?’

Why do you suppose that question was so important to that little mind?

I wonder if the question was deeper than we thought.  Why is the grass green?  Why is there a snake swimming in the water?  Why is it thundering?  Why can’t I have a pony?

Every two-year-old has no problem coming up with an exhausting [for Mommy & Daddy!] list of items about which to ask, ‘Why?’  Maybe we get so tired of asking that question when we’re two that we exhaust ourselves and forget to keep asking as we grow older.  Or Mom & Dad get so exhausted that we figure we’d better quit to keep the peace.

But maybe it’s time to reinstate that question but ask it of ourselves instead of our parents. Why am I choosing to do this?  Why do I believe this way and not that way?  Why am I acting like this?  Why am I voting this way?  Why do I drive the way I do?  Why am I eating this? Drinking this?  Thinking this?

What if we continued to ask ourselves ‘Why’ questions all throughout the day?  This just might lead to a deeper connection with our inner self and our behaviors.  Every decision would then become a conscious decision.  Every emotion could be examined in the moment to get to the feeling behind the emotion and possibly to the belief behind that feeling.  Every interaction with another person could be informed by our understanding of why we are interacting in a certain manner.  This consciousness might even lead to an apology or a change in behavior in the middle of the interaction.

And what about the answers that we don’t like when we ask the questions?  Why don’t I like this person?  Because they remind me of my 4th grade teacher who was mean to me for a whole year.  Wow!  Wouldn’t that be a revelation?  And the poor person who in the 21st Century had nothing to do with that teacher was suffering because of an unconscious resemblance!

Much of what we do, say, believe comes from our unconscious mind and it can stay unconscious as long as we choose to ignore it or to avoid examining it.  This is not conscious living.

So decide today to start asking yourself ‘Why?’  throughout the day.  Be as relentless as you were when you were two years old.  Ask ‘Why?’ and then ask the ‘Why?’ behind that.  Keep going until you feel your have reached your ‘aha.’  The first answer might not be the most meaningful.  The two-year-old inside you knows to keep going, that there is always another layer to the question and to the answer.

And no fair answering your inner two-year-old with ‘Just because!’

THIS WEEK’S MYSTIC MESSAGE from The Divine Feminine: “What’s Your Big Question Today?”

Every one of you has a question or two about your life on Planet Earth that it is difficult to ask.  For some of you it is the proverbial ‘Why am I here?’ question.  For others, it is something like ‘What happens when we die?’  And then many of you wonder about all sorts of ideas that have been proposed that you do not feel have been proven to your satisfaction, like the existence of Life elsewhere in the Universe or the actual origins of the chemicals and minerals of the planets or the nature of animals or other living things on your planet.  Questions abound when the thinking mind explores the world around the person.

The danger comes when a person stops asking questions because of one of these two reasons:  they stop being curious and thus choose not to explore, or they believe that they have all the answers and thus do not need to ask any more questions.

Do you fall into one of these two categories?  Do you sometimes get tired of the ‘not knowing’ and wish you had all the answers?  Or do you sometimes get tired of always finding another question to ask?  Or both?

Believe this, Dear One:  you are a questing being.  Your soul incarnated in your body so that you could ask questions and learn the answers which would lead to more questions as you explore the world around you.  You chose to incarnate on Planet Earth at this time so that you could learn all about 21st Century Earth and her peoples, the environment, the societies, the ideas, the poetry, the art, the cuisines.  You incarnated in a particular family so that you could learn all that that family had to teach you.

Let’s talk about that last sentence for a moment.  Have you wondered why you were born to the family you were born to?  Maybe you grew up feeling like an outsider, or maybe your mother gave you up for adoption and you were raised by some other family.  Do you have an answer for why you were born where and to whom you were born?  Examining this is a part of growing into who you incarnated to be.  Why those particular parents?  Siblings?  Why that school/philosophy/religion/neighborhood/country?  There are lots of aspects of your early life that you can examine to understand more fully how you have been shaped by those very aspects.

The uncurious mind doesn’t bother to explore these questions but one who would grow, who would develop, experiences a certain curiosity about their origins that helps to elaborate on their understanding of Self.  Did you ever wonder about your rebellious or non-rebellious nature as a young person?  What do you suppose that was about?

You rebelled against what was helping you to define yourself, or you chose not to rebel in obvious ways because you chose to adopt what was being presented to you.  The process of growing up is a process much like shopping for a new outfit of clothing.  You try on several to see if they fit, if they are comfortable, if they present the image you wish to project and to see if they are appropriate for who you are in that moment.  When you are growing as a person you are exposed to many new ideas, philosophies, possibilities and you try them on for a fit.  Some you discard, some you adopt and some you modify.

This process never ends.  As long as you are breathing you are exploring the wonder called ‘Life.’  Adopt a curious attitude about what is around you.  Examine it and yourself for ways that you can grow.  Learn from everything that happens or appears around you.  And enjoy the process!

This IS Life!

And so it is.

MUSE-INGS: “Power is a loaded concept!” by Rosemary Bredeson

We often think of power when we think of governments or titans of business or the power of the strong over the weak.  But I like to think of power as electricity, the power that runs the computer or the dishwasher, the power that enhances the usefulness of an appliance or a person because they are plugged into the source.

Where does your power come from?  Are you constantly looking outside yourself for validation or energy or acceptance?  If so, are you giving away your power to others?

I know it is not easy to admit that we are giving away our power but it happens all the time, and often in subtle ways.  If someone is really bugging you, do you let it eat away at you all day?  That’s a form of giving away your power.  How about a romantic partner?  Are you holding in your feelings and going along with what they want instead of standing up for yourself or speaking your mind in the relationship?  This is another way that it is easy to give away your power.  How about at work or in your business – are you constantly deferring to others rather than standing up for your opinions and backing up your own suggestions? You give away your power at work, too.

There are times in every parent’s life when they choose to give power to the 2-year-old tyrant because the parent has become exhausted by the tantrum.  Admit it, you’ve probably done this once or twice if you’re a parent.  And if you have a pet, you have probably, once or twice, given them an extra treat when they whined or performed or begged, right?

What about when you didn’t vote in an election and were disappointed in the result – did you give away your power then?  Have you stood by silently and allowed one person to tell a joke that offended someone else in the group?  That’s another way of giving away your power.

There are so many situations in your life that give you an opportunity to claim your power as it comes from within you or to quietly allow that power to drift away from you.  We do it with our parents, our kids, our bosses, our mates, even our pets.  But the most insidious giving up of our powers comes when we fail to examine our beliefs, our own thoughts.  Sometimes we give our power up to a belief that has been handed down to us for generations because we never stop to examine that belief and to question whether it is actually true for us today.

Have you ever seen a family of doctors where the family belief is that all the male children become doctors?  Or ‘everyone in our family is a lawyer/farmer/accountant/teacher/whatever’?  And how often is there a child in the family who has amazing talent as a dancer or a painter but they allow that to be a hobby because they feel compelled to become a doctor or a lawyer or a teacher?   They give away their power to the belief that came from outside of them.

When I work with clients we often uncover beliefs that they aren’t even aware they are carrying but that cause them to give away their inner connection to their power because they’ve never examined that belief before.  Ask yourself if there are any beliefs about power or your inner power that you can examine and maybe choose to change.

Beliefs are powerful things.  Make sure you are choosing consciously to believe what you believe.  Examine the source of your beliefs, especially around power.  It is a good thing to be in touch with your inner power.  This is not the same as exerting power over the powerless.  See if you have any hidden beliefs around this issue that might be holding you back from manifesting your Life Purpose on the Planet.  This exercise could turn your Life around!

THIS WEEK’S MYSTIC MESSAGE from The Divine Feminine: “Find Your Source of True Power!”

Dear Ones,

There are movements underway to distract people from what really matters in the hearts of human beings.  Be careful that you are not the victim of disinformation or misleading information that might cause you to support a movement that is not what it appears on the surface.

People in power are afraid of losing their power.  Those who do not feel that they have power are afraid that the situation will never change.  There seems to be a misconception about ‘power’ and its source and we would instruct you about this.

True power comes from an inner connection to the Source of power in the Universe.  Human beings breathe Life into their bodies at the moment of their birth.  When they breathe Mother Earth’s atmosphere for the first time they are connecting to a lifetime on Earth that is in their soul blueprint.  From this moment of their first breath humans have a power source within them that connects them to their Life Purpose, their reason for incarnating on this particular Planet.  This connection allows a human being to live that Life Purpose and to be the person they came to Earth to be.

You have undoubtedly heard the phrase ‘Human Being, not Human Doing’ and that is a significant distinction to make.  You incarnated to BE the human that your spirit chose and to learn the lessons that your soul came here to learn.  The DOING part comes after you are in touch with your purpose.  You are not on Earth to DO but to BE.  When you understand this, then you can proceed to a deeper understanding of what the word ‘power’ really means.

Those who choose to interpret ‘power’ to mean ‘power over someone else’ are choosing a selfish path depending on doing something.  They don’t understand the concept of the human BE-ing nor do they understand the soul having lessons to learn and the spirit being an eternal part of the total human being.  These ‘power over’ folks are always seeking more people over whom they can have this kind of power.

Look at those who choose to deride the weak, the elderly, the youth, the different.  The reason that they are so convinced of their superiority is that they are seeking power over others and they are disconnected from an inner sense of innate power that comes from being a human being.  When one disconnects from one’s inner source of power then one can only look outside oneself for a way to feel powerful.  Thus, these ‘disconnected ones’ choose the path of exerting power over others.

They are pitiable creatures as they go through their lives seeking something, they know not what, that will make them feel better about themselves.  There is no contentment in finding power over others for this power beast is insatiable – there are never enough others to satisfy the hunger for more power.  And, therefore, they cannot ever be content.

On the other hand, those who find that inner connection to the source of Life will find their power comes from knowing who they are, knowing what their Life Purpose on Earth is and manifesting that purpose in the outer world.  These powerful people contain the power to make huge changes in the world if they so desire.  They are not easily misled by others, especially those who strive to have power over them.  The truly powerful do not fall victim to misinformation because they are willing to seek truth and they are unwilling to give away their power to another.

Most people fall in the middle of these two, forgetting that their power lies within and seemingly unable to fight against those who would wield power over them.  If this is you, then wake up to the truth that your power lies within.  Take off your blinders and see the others for who they truly are.  Seek information based on facts, not purposely misleading information or outright lies.  Find your inner power and live from that place within you.

Each of you seeing these words is a powerful person.  Reach inside and convince yourself of this truth.  Ask for help if you need for someone to hold the torch for you and to shine the light upon your inner connection to your own power.  The world awaits you!

And so it is.

MUSE-INGS: “Make sure you are moving TOWARD something!”

We are always avoiding pain but does that give us enough impetus to keep going after the danger or pain is over?  I think of the wealthy people who are motivated by avoiding poverty.  The farther from poverty they get the less motivated they can become to make money and they lose it/go bankrupt.  But then they become motivated to make money again to avoid poverty so they make lots more money.  This is a cycle with people who are motivated to move away from the pain of poverty.

When we follow a pattern of avoiding pain we must be careful to shift our gears to moving toward something instead of always moving away from pain.  Notice that the ‘moving away from’ energy diminishes the farther one gets from pain.  But what takes over?  Where is the motivation after the pain is no longer a problem?

The person who would live a Conscious Life knows what they are moving toward.  There is a desire to expand awareness, to grow in Consciousness, that keeps one motivated to learn more, to experience more, to continue to grow.  There has to be an attachment to that movement forward to carry the person into further growth.  It cannot be only about avoiding pain.

Too many people have been struggling in their lives to ‘keep up with the Joneses’ and so they have struggled to maintain a lifestyle that is not in alignment with their income or life purpose.  These people have been trying to avoid a negative comparison with someone else.  Or they have believed that they are entitled to have whatever their neighbor has and they want to avoid embarrassment.  But living in a way that is based on avoiding the pain of embarrassment does not move one into higher consciousness.  This choice does not expand consciousness or awareness.  It is actually a limiting energy because it is based on a comparison with someone else and a desire to avoid coming up short.

What is your motivation in your daily life?  Are you constantly taking action to avoid pain or do you move toward pleasure?  Might there be a balance that is needed in your life?

Looking at what motivates you can give you some real insights into your own value structure.  If you are constantly avoiding pain without deciding what you are moving toward then examine your value structures to determine what really matters to you and what it is that you desire to bring into your life.

You will not be living your life to the fullest if all you do is make choices to avoid the next pain!
