“Shift or Stay Behind” – Richard’s Commentary

The Great Shift

Are you with us? It takes a community. We can’t do this alone; no one can. It may be trite now but I am still fond of that catchy phrase: “it takes a village.” I’ve known what this means for most of my life. I grew up in a small rural village in Wisconsin. At that time I felt throttled, held back; but I was also protected, very safely held in that community.

I reached well beyond that community when I went off to Ethiopia to be a Peace Corps volunteer. And I found myself in a small community in the southern province of Gamu Gofa. Again I was isolated, held within narrow limits of both behavior and opportunity; and I was protected, held in a community that took good care of me when I was injured in an accident.

One of my favorite village experiences has been in Gavilan, Northern New Mexico, in Martín Prechtel’s “Bolad’s Kitchen.” It is a small village with ample opportunity. We are held there and hold each other in great love and respect. We learn, share, trade, offer and are given all that we need.

And now the Great Transformation is beginning to unfold. The world may not have ended on the Winter Solstice 2012, but the change began. We are changing. Life around us is changing. Can you feel it? Rosemary has been writing and channeling about this time for years now. Many others have as well. And people are waking up in this changing time. It is very exciting!

So, what do we do? We pay attention. The signs are all around us. We listen. The voices, especially that inner voice, speak the words of truth that we test in our hearts. And we ask, what is mine to do in this time of change? What is my purpose? How do I live into my Soul Purpose that I have been called to now?

If you don’t know your purpose or if you are troubled when someone asks you this question, it may be time to explore this deep issue. Another way to ask this is “what is your big WHY?” In the greater scheme we are all asked to wake up! We are asked to join in community with everyone in our soul groups, to form the villages that it will take to make the shift. And we each have a role or roles to play within those villages. Identify your role; hone the skills you need to perform that role. We need you to be at your best!

There are many paths inward to discover your “Big WHY.” There are gradual ways and fast tracks. For example Rosemary offers Scientific Hand Analysis, a body of proven techniques to reveal much about whom you came here to be through the examination of your finger prints and the lines in your hands. In one session she can reveal your Life School, Life Lesson and Life Purpose. Another way is to become aware of your intentions: when you first awaken set your intentions for the day; and when you are going to sleep examine your day through a “nightly review” to see how well your intentions were met, not in a judgmental way but through an analytical approach to help discern areas for improvement.

Awareness and intention are the basic tools of an awakened mind. An awakened mind is an essential component of the New Community. We are on a trajectory for major change in the way we are living on Planet Earth. This is The Great Shift.

EXPLORATION: “Shift or Stay Behind”

Are you ready for the Transformation?  Are you willing to transform?  Are you able to make the shift?

In these times of transformation we must become active participants in the evolution of our consciousness, for we can no longer limp through life in a reactionary way.  It is time to take conscious action in the direction of the vision of your life purpose, as revealed to you in your biggest dreams.  Step out!

So many people are hiding their gifts, playing small in a big world that requires them to play big.  Are you hiding?  Have you been playing it safe, instead of leaping forward?  The pause is over.  The time for action is upon us.

Are you aware of your gifts?  Do you know why you are on Planet Earth for this momentous occasion, the Great Shift in Human Consciousness in 2012?  Are you committed fully to manifesting your Soul Purpose in the time when all other Souls are waiting for you to step up?

These are the most important questions you can answer for yourself.  Go inside and spend some time in self-reflection as you ponder your life to date and where  you are heading.

In my work with clients I find that, more often than not, what they are hiding from is their greatness, their Inner Light, their immense power, not qualities that they are ashamed to reveal.  You know that you are more powerful than you have been demonstrating.  You know that you have gifts that have not yet been fully realized in the outside world.  You know that you can turn up the light inside you and shine more brightly.  This is not news to you, at some level.

Where is the fear?  What is holding you back?  Are you really afraid of failing or are you afraid of scaring yourself with your own magnificence?

Well, Merry Christmas, my gift to you is to hold up a mirror so that you can see that your magnificence is the gift that the rest of us are asking Santa for this year!

I see your Inner Splendor.  I KNOW you!  I SEE you!  I LOVE you!  Thank you for agreeing to share this wonderful time on Planet Earth with me.

Let’s hold hands and move forward knowing that we can support each other in bring more Light to the Planet.  Your Soul knew what it was doing before you were born when it chose this path, these circumstances, your parents, your friends – all those who are classmates with you at Earth University.  All that is or has been in your life has contributed to your personal growth and to the consciousness that you hold at this moment.  And you agreed to share the journey with the other Souls around you.

Realizing that this is a community effort, Community Consciousness, then how can you spend the energy it takes to hold yourself back when the whole Universe is conspiring to support you in leaping forward?  Relax into the New You being called forth!  Shift – into high gear and get leaping!

The world will not end in 2012 but it will change.  As each human being decides whether or not to awaken and shine his/her Light into the world, the world will light up.  Be the bright node in the fabric of humanity!  Shine your Inner Splendor Light and keep making it brighter and brighter!

With great gratitude that you have decided to share this time of transformation with me, I invite you to take the step forward that brings your Light out into the world for all to see.

EXPLORATION: “Your Empowered Future Self”

Where do you think your empowerment energy comes from?  Have you ever thought about that question?

I’ve been doing a lot of mini-readings at networking events lately and it seems a lot of people are busy judging themselves harshly because they are not where they want to be in life.  They feel they don’t have the money, success, power, business/career, relationships that they desire.  And they believe that there must be something wrong with them if that is the case.

Some new age folks say that you create your own reality and so you created the mess you’re in now.  That’s not the whole picture, though, so you can stop blaming yourself for the problems you think are your reality.

The real truth is that you have been in your Life School for your whole life and your lessons have been coming at you in the classroom of life every day.  You’ve been given many opportunities to learn the same lesson in different ways.  Your circumstances have been altered to get your attention to be focused on learning the next lesson in the syllabus so you can move on.  That’s it.  That’s true for everyone.

Now we get to what is going on that is not up to the standards you wish for yourself and your life.  Somewhere along the way you worried about something that had not happened.  You reached out from the moment in which you had the thought, out into the future, and pulled back that possibility.  And then you energized it by worrying about it happening, maybe even over and over.

Have you ever said to yourself, ‘I hope X doesn’t happen!’?  Or ‘There’s nothing I can do’?  Or any number of other statements that are disempowering?  What do you think you just did?  You reached out into the field of possibilities and pulled in the one you didn’t want to materialize and you gave it energy.  Your unconscious mind had to make a picture of that eventuality in order to make sense of the thought and then it filed it away.  Then you thought some more about how you didn’t want it and you pulled that picture out of the file and re-energized it.  That’s how worry works.

We’ve all done it.  And we’ve all manifested that which we’ve worried about, so stop beating yourself up!  You taught yourself a valuable lesson!  The only problem is that you haven’t, until now, recognized what the lesson was.

When you reach into the future to bring in a possibility and energize it, make it the possibility that you WANT to have happen, not the one you are worried about that you don’t want.  Visualize the event, circumstance, happening as if it is right now, right here.

Reach into the future and pull into your own Solar Plexus the empowerment that you want to feel.  It’s available to you.  Sometimes we have given away so much of our power that we don’t know how or where to find it.  This is a good technique for accessing and energizing your own empowerment.

Allow yourself to see only the future reality in which you are strong, decisive, empowered.  Bring that view into your Solar Plexus, your own energy center, your power center, and anchor it there.  Then, any time you feel yourself starting to worry, put your hand over your power center [in your belly] and reactivate that vision of your Empowered Future Self.

You have the power to create your own reality and, up to now, everything has been perfect for you to learn the lessons you needed to learn.  NOW pull back any energy that you have sent into the future and feel your empowerment.

It’s a gift from your Empowered Future Self!

MYSTIC MESSAGE from The Divine Feminine: Are You an Explorer of Ideas?

Dear Ones,

Help each other. None of you is alone in the world and your Life Purpose includes your part in the fabric that connects all of humanity and the Earth Space.

The societies where individuals care about the good of all society are the ones that can thrive. Those where there is factionism and hatred and a dislike of the concept of community are the ones where turmoil reigns and forward progress is blocked.

Every individual who is born, thus becoming a human being, has a reason to be on the Planet Earth. This reason is the Soul Purpose for that human life. Every human being is also a conscious being who has a contribution to make to the global consciousness and to universal consciousness. This contribution requires that the individual grow and expand and see the connectedness of all elements of universal consciousness.

Does this sound challenging or ephemeral to you? It i s not. This is a very practical aspect of your human nature.

You were born to grow and expand and to contribute to the growth and expansion of all consciousness. Whether your Life Purpose is to be a healer, or a business person, or a creative, or a parent or any number of other options, YOU have an obligation to grow and expand in your own consciousness because every thought that you have contributes to the collective consciousness of the Universe.

Understanding this then leads you to see that all other individuals are also on their path of expanding awareness and a growth in consciousness. Holding hands along the path manifests the connectedness of all and the ability to share awareness so that the individual’s contribution to collective consciousness is enhanced by the partners on the path.

Help each other to understand that growth is always possible. Awareness is not a static thing – it is an evolutionary energy within every conscious being. Can you expand your awareness if you are always thinking the same thoughts? Living within the same box? Limiting your exploration of ideas? Listening to the same views from the same voices?

When you share your ideas and are open to the exploration of others’ ideas you are contributing to the growth of consciousness all around you and all through time. Because you are a part of the 21st Century expansion of consciousness you are contributing to the consciousness of all who will come after you. Meanwhile, as you connect with other human contemporaries, you will be assisting them in their own contributions to universal consciousness.

This is why it is so important that you connect with others and share ideas.

Social interactions can include deep discussions but many people shy away from this. They stay on the surface of topics that do not offend and choose not to offer ideas that may differ from others. In some social situations, this is advisable. However, if you would expand your own conscious awareness you will find those with whom you might explore ideas without concern about judgment. And you will become the person who allows others to express opinions without condemnation. You do not always need to agree with another’s opinion to respect their level of consciousness.

For many people, their opinions are given to them by someone who wishes to lead or control them. They have not formed opinions based on a personal exploration of ideas. Others cling to opinions they have formed based on part of the information available but not all. Opinions are not the same as ideas.

Ideas come from a connection to consciousness that spurs the human mind into creative space. Opinions close off creativity.

Sharing ideas and allowing others to share theirs allows creative energy to flow into greater awareness and expanded consciousness. Hold the hand of another as you give yourselves permission to be the explorers of ideas. Creativity abounds when you do!

And so it is.

MUSE-INGS: It’s 2012. Do You Know Where Your Transformation Is?

Well, 2012 has certainly been an interesting year for us! And it’s only half over!

I’ve been teaching about the coming changes for 20 years as a spiritual teacher and intuitive advisor. It’s never been about hoarding food or building a concrete shelter.

Oh, I remember the days of the Cold War in the 1960s, living in Washington, DC where we had to keep a week’s supply of food and water and pillows, etc. at school in case there was a nuclear attack and we couldn’t leave the school building to get home. (Not sure now how much protection it would have been from a nuclear attack if we’d been huddled in the school cafeteria but at least the nuns would have been praying for us!) And on Saturdays at noon the air raid sirens would be tested at the local schools and all traffic would have to stop for a few minutes. Everyone walked around on pins and needles wondering if the red button would be pushed. No one knew what would happen.

Some people have approached 2012 with the same kind of caution and preparedness. Having shelters built at great cost so they could live for a week or a month or a year. Stockpiling food and water and, maybe, guns and ammunition. Others have poo-pooed the idea that 2012 would bring with it any changes at all, discounting anything the Mayans might have predicted and relegating discussions of 2012 to ‘new age mumbo-jumbo.’

2012 is here. What is your experience so far? Are you seeing anything in and around you changing?

I have been focused on helping clients to leap forward in their personal and professional growth, for, really, those are intertwined. It’s time to claim your power and live your purpose. Are you ready? Have you done the preparatory work to leap ahead?

Personal growth work doesn’t mean the kind of therapy that was popular back in the 1960s and 1970s when we were worrying about the nuclear bomb. Today it means learning to examine your life and the world around you through the lens of this question, ‘What am I to learn from this?’ Everything has meaning. Every experience that you have is a growth experience, an opportunity for learning. Everything that happens is not happening to victimize you but to provide you with this opportunity to learn something – about you, about the world, about life.

Have you done the work to educate yourself about your typical responses to change, to external events? Do you know your instinctual reactions so that you can choose consciously how you want to respond? Have you identified your Life Purpose, the reason your Soul incarnated in this lifetime, so that you can bring your life into alignment with your Purpose? Are you willing to grow? To learn? To change?

Transformation sounds great, but it requires the shedding of the old as you grow into the new you.

I was bitten by a snake recently. I am fine, but a couple of weeks after that, we saw an empty snakeskin at my sister’s home, reminding me of the shedding of the old so that the new could be formed. Shortly after that, the Waldo Canyon Wildfire engulfed our neighborhood in Colorado Springs. We had to make peace with the possibility that we would be letting go of all our belongings that were still in that house. Blessedly, the house stayed intact although 346 homes in our area were destroyed and many more were damaged. Now, we are able to help a family displaced by that fire by selling our house to them so that they can start to rebuild their lives after losing everything.

MYSTIC MESSAGE from The Divine Feminine: Where is True North on your personal compass?

Dear Ones,

It is a time to value Truth for yourself, for society, for the unfolding of Consciousness in the Universe.

What is your Truth? Not the truth about circumstances or the truth about something that someone else has told you, but the Truth that is the essence of You and Your Life.

Look inside you and discern what the Truth of You is today. Is it different from the Truth that was you yesterday or last year or when you were much younger? Can you see how you have grown in an understanding of Truth as its meaning in your life?

Who are you at your core? Who are you conscious of as a being on Planet Earth in these days? Who speaks through your mouth? Who thinks your thoughts? What do you believe and why do you believe it?

Living a Conscious Life invites you to constantly examine these questions, for even when you feel you have been ‘working on yourself’ you are in a spirally process of unfoldment, not in a linear exercise that will reach completion so you can ‘get on with your life.’ Rather, living a Conscious Life means moving ever forward and upward, forward and upward as your consciousness evolves and as you interact with the world around you in your daily life.

So examining your Truth is an essential part of living your Life Purpose, for who you are and how you are approaching your life informs the manifestation of your Purpose in the world. Remember that all the other people on the planet also agreed to share Planet Earth with you at this moment. Every person of consciousness is living in 21st Century Earth Society to perform the role of their Life Purpose and every other person agreed to be the classmate of that person, living their own Life Purpose and learning their own Life Lessons.

Your Truth, the essence of who you are, includes the ‘why’ of your being born. This is your Life Purpose, the Purpose that your Soul chose for you before you came into Mother Earth’s loving arms, the Purpose that you agreed to live so that others around you might have the atmosphere they need to live their own Purpose. This is your Truth.

Continue to examine yourself and your life so that you can grow in Consciousness. Every time you encounter a statement or a situation or a relationships that does not resonate with you, that does not match what your intuition is telling you is the Truth for you, then you must re-examine your experience and ask why you are in that place in that moment. There is always something for you to learn and often the experience is designed so that you can re-affirm what is Truth for you.

Do not allow yourself to be pulled off your path into someone else’s truth when it is not resonating with your Truth. You are the one who is growing and evolving according to your own evolutionary journey and your intuition is your guide along the journey. Your Truth becomes the North of your compass, always showing you the direction for you to follow. As you shift your energies, just like Planet Earth, your compass finds your Truth and keeps you steered in that direction.

Just as you would not force a magnetic compass to the ‘N’ point that you want, instead of the one it is finding through it’s internal mechanism, do not allow someone else to pull your compass needle off your Truth. This is yours.

Find the Truth within you and follow your own journey.

And so it is.

MUSE-INGS: Conscious Confidence for the Present Moment

Confidence can be such a difficult quality to develop. I can be confident in my ability to create a delicious dinner and yet lack the confidence required to get up on a horse and ride a trail. You might be confident in a one-on-one conversation and yet lack the confidence to feel comfortable speaking in front of 1,000-member audience. So what is the confidence we are feeling or not feeling?

When ‘confidence’ is really just an assurance that we are committed to living our Life Purpose in this lifetime on this Planet Earth, then we can relax and our only work is this commitment. Whew! That takes the heat off of us, doesn’t it? I mean, what if I know I am being the person I was born to BE, even if I’m not the best or most accomplished or most experienced at something I am trying to DO? Isn’t that the consciousness that we need to develop? Isn’t that how we can learn to feel confident?

I learned a long time ago that showing up to the present moment is the most important aspect of feeling confident. Even if I feel nervous or tentative about attempting something, I can gain confidence from the knowledge that I am doing the best I can and I can trust that everything will work out as it should. This comes from trusting in the unfolding plan of the Universe.

Trust is the key word here. Do you trust that the Universe has a plan that is unfolding as it should? Do you trust that you have a part in that plan and that your intuition is your connection to it? Have you learned to trust your intuition?

Each of us has a role to play in the story of the Earth as it is developing around us. The people around us are all players in the same story, whether we or they know it or not. Your soul agreed with mine before we were born that we would ‘play’ in this sandbox called Earth at the same time in some way. I trust that this agreement holds and that I am doing my best to fulfill my part. I commit to living the Life Purpose my soul told yours I would live before we started this time on Earth. By raising my own consciousness I’ve become aware of the greater plan and it’s unfolding on Earth in these days.

Are you working to expand your awareness of the great development called Human Evolution? This is about the evolution of consciousness, not about growing beyond tails and webbed feet! Personal growth work becomes the avenue to expanded consciousness and, thus, a commitment to your own personal growth benefits all of humanity.

And confidence comes from knowing that this grand scheme of ever-evolving consciousness includes you and who you are becoming at each step of the way. Trust that you are okay, that you are doing the best you can. Trust that your own intuition and inner guidance are leading you in the path of conscious evolution. Be confident in sharing who you are, right now, in this moment, with others, for that is the soul agreement that you entered into with them before birth. They and you agreed that you would be just that, the ‘who’ you came here to be, and that that was just enough for them in this moment.

Congratulations! Go confidently into your next moments!

THE MYSTIC MESSAGE from The Divine Feminine: Got Confidence?

Dear Ones,

Confidence. What does that word bring up for you? Do you feel confident in Life? Do you feel confident in your abilities in one area of your life but not in another? Do you worry that you are inadequate in all areas of life or do you compare yourself to others and feel that they are all better than you are?

We wish to give you a new definition of ‘confidence.’ Confidence is not feeling that you know everything you can about a situation, skill or circumstance. It is especially not about knowing everything you can about another person. Rather, Confidence is an awareness that you are doing the best you can in any given moment. True Confidence comes from BEING the person you incarnated on Planet Earth to BE. It really has nothing to do with what you are doing or how well you are being judged, or judging yourself, on your performance at a task.

When you have this kind of True Confidence in yourself, you see yourself as a part of the unfolding plan within an unfolding Universe and your consciousness is about your place in that plan. Confidence rests on the level of consciousness that you bring to a situation. Your awareness of your Life Purpose and your commitment to living that purpose bring you the confidence that you need to excel at being YOU. How well do you know YOU and who you came to Earth to BE?

Those who appear to you to have immense stores of confidence may be covering up feelings of inadequacy with a public bravado that has no relationship to their actual level of confidence or ability. Stop comparing yourself to them. It really doesn’t matter to you and your living your own Life Purpose whether they are committed to living their purpose. Their outward appearance of an apparent level of confidence really has no bearing on you and your level of confidence so stop giving it any importance.

Be confident that you are the best YOU you can be in this present moment. If you are facing a challenge, look for the lesson. If you are feeling good about yourself, then feel good. If you are feeling less than confident, then think about a time when you felt confident in the past and remember that feeling. If you are unsure about your Life Purpose, then get some help in figuring that out for yourself.

The Plan is unfolding. The Universe is working things out so that everyone can have all the resources they need to fulfill the Life Purpose they incarnated on Earth to live. Your only job is to continue to grow in consciousness, in awareness. To be committed to your own personal growth. To show up and support others in their own personal growth, even if they are making choices that you feel are not the best for them.

Be who you came to Earth to be and allow others the space to do the same. Go confidently into your day, each day, knowing that you, and everyone else, are doing the best you can with the resources you have at any given moment.

And so it is.

MUSE-INGS: Be the Change and Become the New Human

It’s not easy to consider profound change but perhaps it is time for each of us, singularly and collectively, to decide to commit to whatever profound change is necessary for us to move forward in the process of the evolution of human consciousness. The future is now.

How have you been living in denial of your greatness? When I work with clients I often see their gifts and strengths in ways that they cannot see or, because of some blind-spots, cannot accept. Who was the parent or teacher or sibling who taught you that you were less than amazing? What was the situation that caused you to accept the belief that you were less than a perfect human being living on a path of consciousness-evolution? What arrested you in your personal development so that you cannot see your own bright Light that is to shine into the world?

We all have those blind-spots! One of my buddies in the scientific hand analysis trainings uses a rear-view mirror to demonstrate how our blind-spots keep us from seeing ourselves clearly. Our Life Purpose comes with a Life Lesson that will always help us to grow, if we let it. And when we know our blind-spots, our Life Lesson, then we can use that energy as an ally to help us in our path of personal growth.

I see people who seem content to maintain the status quo and I wonder what they are really feeling. Don’t you feel compelled to move forward? To learn something new? To explore? To grow? Maybe I’m just focused on my world and the clients I am privileged to work with because they are all looking for that deep transformation, the profound change that lets them evolve, move into new territories, expand their consciousness.

Transformation isn’t for the faint of heart. I grant you that this is not the path of least resistance, for we are about an important work when we accept the mantle as one who is willing to transform oneself. But we cannot be so naïve as to look around us at the world and wish that it would change without realizing that it is in our own being that we must start the shift. The oft-mentioned quote of Ghandi, ‘You must be the change you want to see in the world,’ speaks volumes to HOW we can effect change.

Step into your own power and do the work to transform your own energy. Delve into the reaches of your psyche and clear out any limiting beliefs, negative thoughts, discouraging voices that are holding you back from your greatness. Be willing to lift your consciousness to a new level of awareness, seeing from a new perspective, embracing new thoughts.

Those who cling to the old ways, who long for a return to a fantasy of days gone by that were not what they might appear to be, are fighting the mainstream of progress toward an evolved human consciousness, toward the emergence of the new human. Be the change and become the new human. If each of us, as individuals, commits to our own personal evolution, to deep transformation, to profound change within us, and to manifesting our gifts and our greatness in the outer world, then the world will be transformed by that power from within us.

MYSTIC MESSAGE: from The Divine Feminine: Time to Transform?

Dear Ones,

Many people are talking about ‘transformation’ and ‘change’ but are they really thinking of those words as you might? Let us look at ‘transformation’ as it pertains to these days.

When you have a discussion with someone about transformation, are they really talking about the deep level of transformation, after which one’s whole life is lived at a different vibrational level? Or are they talking about a little shift in perception that causes a slight change in one’s circumstances? There is a big difference.

True transformation occurs within one’s being at a cellular level and renders that person a different person thereafter. You must be ready for this kind of profound shift when you enter into it. Otherwise, you can be essentially derailed by the energy differential and become disoriented in the shift.

If you are reading these words, however, you are ready to take the steps necessary to make the profound commitment to transformation that allows you to take a quantum leap forward in your personal growth. There are three steps necessary to prepare for this shift.

First, you must acknowledge and accept where you currently are, realistically, in your path of growth. It is a very human thing to deny your own reality and to refuse to acknowledge honestly where you stand. Many of you might be in denial, not of your faults, but of your greatness. It can be daunting to accept that you have a Life Purpose as great as yours is and so you have developed a habit of shying away from that Purpose. You are hiding your Light under the proverbial basket.

Second, you must realize that there is some work involved in effecting a major transformation of your energetic level and you must be willing to do the work to make the shift. Personal growth work does not happen without an acceptance of the new level of existence, of the changed ‘you’ who emerges from the process. And it IS a process to which you must commit some effort and awareness.

Third, you must commit to living as the transformed ‘you’ after you have gone through the process and created the transformation. Your energetic being will have moved beyond the level where you started and you will be able to access new energies – new thoughts, beliefs, visions — that did not exist at the previous energetic level. In other words, you will be able to see things differently and you must respond to the call of your new visions.

When you stand in the place of having completed these steps, you are ready to make a transformative effort to change who you are. For in your life on Earth, it is only you who can change. You cannot change others, but you can model change for them. You cannot change everything around you, perhaps, but you can change that which it is important to change in any given moment. Any change that you want to see in the world around you must be centered in a change within yourself.

Start there. Start today. Make the commitment to personal growth. 2012 and the years beyond are asking you to raise yourself to the highest vibration that you can achieve. Do not stay in the level of the vibration of what you perceive as your faults. Instead, lift yourself into the level of the vibration of your gifts and manifest these in the world. Raise your consciousness and you will raise the consciousness of the world.

And so it is.
