Dear Ones,
Here is some guidance for you if you desire to live your life to its fullest potential. Do not succumb to the allure of riches for riches sake. And do not allow yourself to be distracted from your Soul Purpose in being on Planet Earth at this time.
We see too many people who are enticed into endeavors that promise to make them wealthy without feeding their soul or their soul mission. These people are greedy for money and might even convince themselves that they are motivated by a desire to help others but greed for money does not result in happiness on Planet Earth. Happiness comes from a sense of alignment with what is in the Universal Plan for one’s life. Partnerships, family, love, a right livelihood, and service – all of these contribute to one’s happiness.
We are not saying that there is anything wrong with being wealthy or in having money. On the contrary, the Light Workers of the Universe would rather see the wealth of Planet Earth given to those who would use money as an energy for helping others and serving the highest good of the Planet than to see the money concentrated in the hands of a few who withhold the money from others who need it.
Money is merely an energy exchange that has been agreed upon by humans on Planet Earth to have a certain value. Everything that one does or has has a certain value attached to it, not always expressible in monetary terms. But the value of money is determined by agreement between parties involved. Markets around the world decide on the relative value of their different currencies. Prices can be set by some authority or be determined by the exchange market between parties. Money has no intrinsic value in the higher orders of life.
Is money, having money, gaining money a high value for you? Then ask yourself what it is that you intend to do with that money. Do you long for money that you do not have? Then ask yourself why you are putting any energy into focusing on lack and shift your thinking to having all the resources you need to be happy. If you focus on money for money’s sake, then you lose the ability to be happy when money is not the commodity required to gain that happiness.
For example, if you believe that having money will make you happy and focus on how you lack the money that you wish to have, you will drive yourself farther and farther away from having the money you desire. If, however, you focus on being happy, on being of service, and on helping others to find happiness, then the Universe will support you in your endeavors to gain the resources that you need to support being happy.
Stop thinking about money and think in terms of resources. Money is one resource. What is it you really desire? Is it money? Or is it what money can buy? Do you really want to be a slave to a job to earn money or are you really desiring freedom from worrying about money? When you have money in your pocket now do you share that with others or do you tight-fistedly hold onto it?
Think about your relationship to the resources that are available to you in your life at the present moment. Do you have friends? Do you have a place to live? Do you have work that fulfills you? Do you know your Life Purpose and are you living it now? If your answer is no to any of these, then get about solving those situations. Allow yourself to let making money be a part of gaining something important to you. You will be more motivated then to gather the resources you need if your intention is to have something that your unconscious mind values more highly than the dollar. And the result will be that you will end up with more money! Isn’t that interesting?
And so it is.

MUSE-INGS: Be in This Moment by Rosemary Bredeson
February 22, 2011 — RosemarySometimes we look at a task before us as if it is a huge undertaking and the enormity can paralyze us. We react by sticking our head in the sand, or procrastinating or distracting ourselves with ‘bright, shiny objects.’ And, yet, if we break the task down into smaller bites, we can accomplish those and make progress toward our goals. We just forget that we already know this strategy.
In our daily lives, we can be overwhelmed with our ‘to-do’ lists and we forget that we are a part of a community, that there are others who have needs and we can make their day better by doing something small that feels huge to that other person. The key to doing this is to being alert to opportunities. Living a Conscious Life brings us into the Consciousness of the Moment – living each moment with full awareness, of Self and Other, so that we can fully participate in that moment.
Think about how many mindless things you do in a day. How many minutes do you think you spend in activities that you perform by rote? How much of your day is spent being unconscious or thinking about something other than the activity in which you are engaged in that moment? You wash the dishes and you think about your to-do list for tomorrow. You take the dog for a walk and you’re planning your day. You pick your children up and you are on the phone in the car while they are playing with their toys. You and your spouse go through the mail and don’t talk to each other at all. The list goes on and on.
Mindfulness is a practice where you are fully present to each moment of your day. If you are washing the dishes then you are focused on the washing of the dishes. You notice the temperature of the water. You examine the plate to make sure it is clean and you appreciate the food that it held for you to eat. You get the picture.
So what if you were to go through your day with that same kind of mindfulness focused on the people with whom you interact? What if you paid attention to the people in line with you in the grocery store? What if you stopped and listened for a bit to the street musician and then threw some money in the jar? What if you really acknowledged the server in the restaurant or the receptionist in the office and asked, with genuine interest, how their day has been?
It doesn’t take much to make a difference in someone else’s day but too often we are so focused on the next thing we have to do or how well/badly the last thing we did went that we forget to be fully present to the moment we are living right now. This moment is here only once in our life. Every moment that we spend thinking of other moments is thrown away from the time of our life. We can never get it back and time is our most precious commodity.
Now think if you used an awareness of this present moment as an opportunity to improve someone else’s life. How would you feel at the end of the day if you took advantage of every opportunity like this?
Pretty darned good.
