EXPLORATION: “The I’s Have It” – Richard’s Commentary

Speaking of taking care of yourself first so you have the energy and resources to serve others, I’ve been thinking a lot about veganism and vegetarianism lately. I know a number of people who are and have been for years. In fact my son has been mostly vegetarian since his college days after reading “The Way of the Peaceful Warrior.”

And recently I have begun to know people who are not only very strict in their discipline around a vegan diet but are also strong advocates of such, recommending it as a way to eat to save ourselves and the planet in the process. In fact some folks become so enthusiastic about their lifestyle and dietary choices that they almost become zealots, fundamentalists in their beliefs and political views on the subject.

I could say that some people even push my buttons on this subject. And I ask myself, “what are they mirroring for me that I need to examine closely?”

Examining this question took me all the way back to my childhood. I grew up on a small family farm in Wisconsin; and yes, it was a dairy farm. But we raised pigs, chickens, and sheep as well. For the most part we were a self-sufficient farm growing and raising much of our own food. Milk was the primary cash commodity and it all, but what we saved out for our personal use, went to a local factory that made cheese. Everything was pretty local in those days. We traded the eggs to the local grocery store for credit toward the things we didn’t raise or grow ourselves. We ate the extra roosters. We ate our own meat from pigs and steers we raised. So, I grew up with a lot of meat, milk, cheese, eggs; and when the local hunters helped thin out deer herds during hunting season we had venison as well.

I look back on this childhood with a great deal of fondness; I feel blessed to have been raised in the country with what then would have been the nearest thing to non-GMO, organic food we could have had from any source at any price – and it came from our “back-yard”!. We knew exactly where it all came from and what went into it.

Fast-forward about 60 years and it is hard to believe how things have changed! While some of the family farm remains right there in Wisconsin where I left it, much of the land has been sold to a “giant farm” following the trend everywhere to big-agri-business; the family farms of my youth are mostly gone. And I now live on the east coast with just enough garden for a few tomato plants. The nearest thing to small farming is the Community Supported  Agriculture (CSA) approach we have supported for the past few years. At least this way we are sourcing some of our produce locally; it’s fresh and organic and supporting a healthy way of life and a healthy planet!

My diet has changed too: for several years I have made my breakfasts and lunches in my Vitamix “super-blender” by creating a concoction of nuts, seeds, fruit and vegetables; it’s all raw, as organic as I can find and it certainly qualities as vegan. I have lost a bit of excess weight, very gradually, while on this regimen, I have lots of energy, feel great and I believe I’m pretty healthy. And for dinner I often have a meat dish. I love cheese (here I don’t think I had a chance since from childhood I had more milk in my veins than blood!). And, while I’ve given up on chicken in my diet I still enjoy, now and then, a bacon-and-egg breakfast on a random weekend.

I am far from vegetarian, let alone vegan! And I am not sure I ever want or need to become a strict anything. I tend to avoid becoming a zealot about things in life.

That said I have asked myself if I need to look more closely into this mirror held up to me by those who are more zealous! Are we on an evolutionary path toward a meatless diet? Will this path, in part, be driven by realities of limited resources and over-pollution by the current approach by big-agri-business? Are we killing ourselves with GMOs? Can we rely on science and technology to continuously increase production of already strained resources?

And the real nagging question, because I want to think of myself as an evolutionary and cultural creative: “Is the New Human vegan?” I’d love to have your thoughts.

Union – Richard’s Thoughts on the Nature of the New Human

In these posts I have referred often to my message channeled by Rosemary on December 7, 2012. (To listen again, click here) I have written several posts about the “Floating Heads” she channeled and have even posted messages they have given to me. But there were two parts to that message; the second is from a Native American Guide who spoke about the oneness of body and spirit. It is a deep message; I have given it much thought. Here are some notes about that message:

I fully appreciate if not fully comprehend her message. It requires deep thought. Her message is essentially about union, not in a coming together of two-ness, dualism, but as in no-separation. There is no separation of spirit and body, of the Earthly Human part of us and the eternal Spirit part. Even to use the term “part” is to imply two-ness, pieces of a whole. But the message of the Guide is there are no parts here, only wholeness. This is true yoga; this wholeness is not about the joining of parts but the no-separation into parts.

And as I think about it, isn’t this the true message of the Heart Sutra? Isn’t this the truth of “emptiness” and all the denials? These are the denials of separation! The denials of the senses as we think of them, sense with them. “No eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, mind…” no separation into these sensory organs that tend to deceive us.

My Guide would have me know this and to go deeply into this Truth. She said the New Human is born from this Truth. The New Human is not a Spirit Being having a physical experience here on Planet Earth. The New Human is one being, a fully integrated singularity with a dimensionality that transcends the physical, emotional, mental, spiritual. The New Human is beyond the dimensions of time, space, consciousness. The New Human is even beyond Spirit because it holds all these other dimensions “nested” within the greater singularity. The New Human is a hologram and represents (no, not “represents” – “is”!) the wholeness of the Universe! From bottom to top – the lowest atom/particle to the highest conception – God – it is all one thing! Dimensions, space, time, matter, emptiness, black holes, dark matter, consciousness, spirit: these are all one and these are all inside everything and everyone. This is the true everything and nothing – the Alpha and Omega. Our senses tell a different story; they present to us the illusion of duality. The New Human sees beyond the illusions, penetrates the perceptive senses to realize the New Truth.

Words fail. They are swallowed up in the greater, deeper understanding of Oneness! Everything collapses into this Oneness. The ocean overwhelms the drop of water, consuming it, embracing it into the singularity that is at the heart of it All.

And what does the New Human do with this comprehension? Heat water, make tea. But there is a necessary alteration to the routine. There is a new attitude toward Life, a new consciousness regarding the All, the One. There is a subtle sense that the separation is not sustainable and that the Oneness is all pervasive through the All. There is an inter-penetration of everything, everyone, every moment, all thought, all feelings, All.

With this realization everything takes on a new dimension, new clarity. There is a glow, an aura to it all that inter-penetrates my own aura. This is New Sight.

And somehow the tea is more delightful!

THIS WEEK’S MYSTIC MESSAGE from The Divine Feminine: “What’s Your Big Question Today?”

Every one of you has a question or two about your life on Planet Earth that it is difficult to ask.  For some of you it is the proverbial ‘Why am I here?’ question.  For others, it is something like ‘What happens when we die?’  And then many of you wonder about all sorts of ideas that have been proposed that you do not feel have been proven to your satisfaction, like the existence of Life elsewhere in the Universe or the actual origins of the chemicals and minerals of the planets or the nature of animals or other living things on your planet.  Questions abound when the thinking mind explores the world around the person.

The danger comes when a person stops asking questions because of one of these two reasons:  they stop being curious and thus choose not to explore, or they believe that they have all the answers and thus do not need to ask any more questions.

Do you fall into one of these two categories?  Do you sometimes get tired of the ‘not knowing’ and wish you had all the answers?  Or do you sometimes get tired of always finding another question to ask?  Or both?

Believe this, Dear One:  you are a questing being.  Your soul incarnated in your body so that you could ask questions and learn the answers which would lead to more questions as you explore the world around you.  You chose to incarnate on Planet Earth at this time so that you could learn all about 21st Century Earth and her peoples, the environment, the societies, the ideas, the poetry, the art, the cuisines.  You incarnated in a particular family so that you could learn all that that family had to teach you.

Let’s talk about that last sentence for a moment.  Have you wondered why you were born to the family you were born to?  Maybe you grew up feeling like an outsider, or maybe your mother gave you up for adoption and you were raised by some other family.  Do you have an answer for why you were born where and to whom you were born?  Examining this is a part of growing into who you incarnated to be.  Why those particular parents?  Siblings?  Why that school/philosophy/religion/neighborhood/country?  There are lots of aspects of your early life that you can examine to understand more fully how you have been shaped by those very aspects.

The uncurious mind doesn’t bother to explore these questions but one who would grow, who would develop, experiences a certain curiosity about their origins that helps to elaborate on their understanding of Self.  Did you ever wonder about your rebellious or non-rebellious nature as a young person?  What do you suppose that was about?

You rebelled against what was helping you to define yourself, or you chose not to rebel in obvious ways because you chose to adopt what was being presented to you.  The process of growing up is a process much like shopping for a new outfit of clothing.  You try on several to see if they fit, if they are comfortable, if they present the image you wish to project and to see if they are appropriate for who you are in that moment.  When you are growing as a person you are exposed to many new ideas, philosophies, possibilities and you try them on for a fit.  Some you discard, some you adopt and some you modify.

This process never ends.  As long as you are breathing you are exploring the wonder called ‘Life.’  Adopt a curious attitude about what is around you.  Examine it and yourself for ways that you can grow.  Learn from everything that happens or appears around you.  And enjoy the process!

This IS Life!

And so it is.

THIS WEEK’S MYSTIC DREAM COMMENTARY from The Divine Feminine

“Dear One,

“You have been given this dream that you might share it and its message with others.  It is time for the People of the Earth to rise up and declare their intention to live on Earth in The Divine Feminine Way.

“No longer can Mother Earth sustain the patriarchy’s abuse of her resources and her peoples.  You are seeing the culmination of the end times of the old paradigm.

“This does not mean the end times of Planet Earth.  Rather, it is She who will continue to exist and the People of the Earth who must change or leave Her.

“The old paradigm of power over others will collapse.  There are many who view this as immaterial to themselves because they believe themselves to be impervious to what is happening with ‘the little people’ – those they view as inferior.  They are wrong.”Those who perceive themselves to be impervious are the most vulnerable for they have the farthest to fall when their ivory towers are toppled.

“Those, however, who have lifted up their consciousness to higher levels have nothing to fear, for even death is not a threat to them, merely a doorway to Other Dimensions.

“The Way of the Divine Feminine is the most important focus for the coming days.  Taking care of Self and Others.  Focusing on what really matters vs. what one is told is important.  Finding strength, courage and confidence to go out into the world with one’s unique message for humanity.  THIS is what is important.  The leaders of oppressive institutions — governments, churches and corporations — will topple from the heights that they believe to be their rights.  The people who destroy the base of these self-proclaimed temples will triumph and the people who remain will create community from the wreckage of the old institutions.  The time is NOW for radical change.

Let me just add a word or two here about the term ‘end times.’  There are those who would say that the world is ending and ‘they’ are going to Heaven while the rest of the inhabitants of Earth will be condemned to eternal flames.  This is not happening.

But there must be changes in the way that we live on Planet Earth in the coming times.

Examine this dream for any particular message FOR YOU.  In the great collective consciousness we dream for each other.  As I continue to work with this dream I keep finding new information, guidance and wisdom.  Feel free to use this dream as part of your exploration of these times.  You might get a different message or an enhancement to what is contained here.  You might find something very personal that is revealed to you by examining this dream.  Use it as a starting point in doing spiritual exploration.

And ask yourself about the ways in which you can manifest The Divine Feminine Way in your life today.

THIS WEEK’S MYSTIC MESSAGE from The Divine Feminine: Are you ready to grow?

Dear Ones,

The energy around the world is being stirred up by the tides of change.  People in all countries are feeling that change is coming, but, in most cases, there is no clear understanding of what that change will be.  A natural reaction to the uncertainty of change is to move into fear, but we would tell you to hold back, do not allow yourself to go into fear.

When the Planet Earth erupts in change energy there are many potential ways that that change can become manifest.  Let us talk first of the energy of groups and what changes are coming in them.

Groups have been formed among human beings since the first tribes banded together during early human history.  There is safety in the numbers when groups are formed.  There is also a kind of leadership that is created when a group faces a decision point.  Often that leadership role was chosen by a battle or competition between strong group members and the strongest, often physically, was the one who became the leader.

In later human history, groups were formed around intellectual pursuits and the smartest or wisest person became the leader of the group.  When survival was not the most important reason for joining together, people from other ‘tribes’ would join a group whose ideas were appealing, no matter what the background of the people in the group and no matter the diversity of its members.

Lately, we are seeing that people are joining groups, banding together, so that they may fight a perceived enemy.  Ideologies seem to be the reason for connecting with others, not a desire to join for survival or intellectual reasons, but because there is an emotional component to an ideology that unites the group members and they use this passion to aim their energies outward toward ‘the enemy.’  In these groups, the leaders percolate to the top on the strength of their voice, the loudest becoming the leader.

The energies in the changes that are coming on Earth will affect the groups that have been formed around ideologies because those ideologies will begin to collapse onto themselves.  People are getting smarter about Life.  Humanity is evolving in its consciousness and awareness.  No longer will the person who shouts the loudest be allowed to make decisions for those who are intellectually curious and thinking individuals.  You will start to see that people are ‘waking up’ to what it means to be fully human.

This is a good change for Planet Earth!  When people start to ‘wake up’ they look around and see what needs to shift to support their awakening.  They no longer accept that they must follow blindly those around them who are shouting loudly.  People begin to think for themselves and make decisions around what is best for them and their family and they also begin to consider the society around them.  Philanthropy, generosity of spirit, and giving to others follows the awakening of a society.  This will be happening first where people are spiritually connected to the Earth and to people around them.  Where individualism reigns these changes will be more difficult and slower, but the energy is also there to bring this change about.

Ask yourself if you are living a Conscious Life.  Are you attaching yourself to groups because of a blind loyalty to an ideology or are you looking for like-minded people who are also intellectually curious and thinking individuals?  Examine the groups of which you are a member – are you being served by the growth of the group or does it seem to be stagnating your personal growth?

More and more people will be dissociating from those groups that do not stimulate and support personal growth and seeking that stimulation and support elsewhere.  This is how the energies of change can manifest in your life and the lives of those around you.

And so it is.

MUSE-INGS: Going ‘Home’!

I know the feeling of being ‘home’ when I step onto the Big Island of Hawaii.  Every time, and I’ve been there often, it creates such a feeling of peace just to touch the Earth there.  I’ve had some amazing spiritual experiences in the Hawaiian Islands and have loved being there, even the week that was rainy from start to finish. I probably learned the most spiritual lessons that week! And every visit since then has held even greater learnings for me.

But lately I’ve been feeling drawn to the West Coast of America, and that’s a bit of a surprise to me.  Having spent most of my life in the DC area, I never thought I’d consider living near LA but that’s on the radar screen.  So why is this coming up at this time in my life?  Am I supposed to move there immediately?  What about this house in Colorado where we live now?

Have you ever felt drawn to move or to travel or to be somewhere other than where you are in a given moment?  I think Mother Earth is calling each of us to be in the spot where she can support us more fully as we go through the coming changes.  It might be near to where we currently live or it might be thousands of miles away.  We might even need to split our time between 2 homes to tap into different Earth energy depending on the time of year and our activities.  I once felt an overwhelming urge to visit Hawaii and a week later we were on a plane!  That was the trip where we met a Kahuna and had some wonderful experiences.

Where are you feeling that you should visit?  Or do you feel that you are nearing the time to make a move?  Is some external event or person causing you to change where you live?  This is all wonderful, even if the circumstances don’t FEEL wonderful at the moment!  You are receiving guidance from the Universe about your next move.  You are being led to the next home, the place where Mother Earth can cradle you in her arms and nurture you with her loving energy.  Whether the cause of the move is economic, emotional or expedient doesn’t matter.  Trust that you are being helped to the place where you need to be for the time being.

There are no accidents.  Whatever is happening to indicate that you need to be somewhere on Mother Earth other than exactly where you are now is a sign that you are on the spiritual path of personal growth.  And if you feel perfectly content in the exact spot where you now are, then you can relax and enjoy the connection and the nurturing/nourishing energy that comes from the Mother.  Where are you planning  to visit on your next trip?   Do you have a feeling that maybe you should go somewhere soon?  Maybe the time isn’t right yet but you feel that the time is coming.  In that case, you might want to get a picture of the place to which you feel drawn and post it on your vision board, or above your desk, so that you can send a message to Mother Earth letting her know that you hear her call and that you agree to follow that call when the time is right.

Get ready to pack your bags!  Whether moving your home or visiting somewhere else, Mother Earth will support you wherever you go!

THIS WEEK’S MYSTIC MESSAGE from The Divine Feminine: What do I do about 2012?

Dear Ones,

There are many people who are concerned about the energies approaching Planet Earth for the December 21, 2012 date.  We would like to offer some clarity about this date.

First, the people who are expecting something they refer to as ‘Armageddon’ are confused about the energies they are living in in the present moment and thus are also confused about the future.  They have been told that they will overcome others in this coming battle but they don’t know what they are fighting about.  ‘Armageddon’ is about the death of the little ‘s’ self and the overcoming of the personality by the capital ‘S’ Self.  It really has nothing to do with warfare among humans [or any other beings] on Planet Earth.

So the people who don’t understand about the difference between the self and the Self are easily led into a belief about a battle between good and evil, as defined by some external authority, and they are convinced that they are ‘good’ and will triumph over all others.  This is truly a sad way to go through a human life but many are choosing this belief system during this lifetime.

The energies of 2012 are already extant on Planet Earth in 2010.  People need to know about this as the energies of change are already permeating everyday life for all humans.  Each individual is being called to examine their belief system and to reassess what it is that they believe.  This has been true throughout time on Planet Earth and will continue to be true beyond 2012.  One believes initially what one is told is true.  Then one is told what to believe by parents, schools, society.  When one begins to examine their beliefs as an adult then one can mature and accept or discard that which does not serve them at a given time.

Think of the things you believed as a child that you no longer embrace.  Were you raised in a religion or political party whose tenets you no longer subscribe to?  Do you agree with the views held decades ago by your parents or the society in which you were raised?  If you have been on a path of spiritual and personal growth then you have re-examined your beliefs and have decided consciously to continue to embrace those beliefs or to reject them.

This is what is being called forth today and in the years to come for all humans.  Examine all of your beliefs.  Do they still serve you?  If you have understood the role of the Self in your life then do old beliefs still fit for you?  Have you gained new insights and understandings that inform your choices today that might cause you to change your underlying beliefs?  Sometimes people learn and grow but never examine what they hold to be basic truths and thus build a belief system as a structure around ideas that are no longer valid for them.  However, if they never examine this belief structure they will not realize this discrepancy.

The energies of change that are on the Planet today are inviting you to examine that which you believe to be true and to make a conscious decision about what you believe.  Don’t take anyone else’s word for the truth, even ours.  Examine and decide as a being living a Conscious Life what you will and won’t believe.

When you are living a fully Conscious Life you have no need to fear 2012 or any of the coming energies for you will be making conscious decisions on every day of your Life.  This is the important way for one to live without fear.

The people who are in fear of a particular date are succumbing to indoctrination by others.  There is no need to fear.  We wish that these people could open themselves up to that but they, too, are making a choice about what they believe.  Unfortunately, their choice brings them the pain of fear.

Be a Conscious One and you will be able to live beyond the fear!

And so it is.

MUSE-INGS: Listen to the Children

The children of the 21st Century are amazing beings.  So many, though, really are super-sensitive. I watch our grandchildren struggle with their sensitivities and yet they are truly radiant beings of Light.  I’m sure your children and grandchildren are as well.

What is it that they are here to teach us?  I think the most important thing we can learn from them is an openness, a big heart, an acceptance of themselves and others as they are.  I once heard my granddaughter say that she had been criticized for saying that she sees the fairies.  [She does.]  Her answer was that everyone is special in their own way.  She has a cousin who can talk with wild animals and they are not afraid of her.  That was Makayla’s answer to being criticized.  It represents an understanding that, ‘Just because I am different from you or your understanding of the world does not mean that there is anything wrong with me.’

Of course, she is also a regular kind of tweener, 12 going on 21.  These sensitive kids need our help in making sense of their surroundings.  They arrive on Planet Earth knowing that there are many levels to consciousness and they are not afraid to share what their experiences are.  We, in turn, try to teach them to follow the rules as we understand them.  Could the lesson for us be to re-examine what we thought were the rules?  Bill Maher, in his TV show, “Real Time with Bill Maher”, offers ‘New Rules’ every Friday night.  His are often funny and tongue in cheek, but he always has a reason behind his offerings.  Maybe it is time for us to examine all those things we thought were ‘rules’ and decide anew whether or not they fit the times.

In politics there seem to be two camps of people – those who wish to advance their society with new thought and those who wish to hold onto the old traditions and to fight change.  Oftentimes we seem to get more wrapped up in the arguments than the issues would warrant and we forget to step up above the disagreement to look for long-reaching effects and to use expanded consciousness in our search for solutions.

In every area of 21st Century life there is an opportunity to expand consciousness and step all of humanity up to the next level.  We must learn from the children to be cosmic beings, not citizens of one country or members of a political party, a particular ethnic group, a religious group.  We must step up and look at situations from that cosmic perspective, asking for long-term information about decisions we are considering.  With the energetic changes that are coming, we must fight the tendency to be narrow in our thinking, for we will miss the great things that are approaching if we live within tunnel vision.

Expand your views.  Open your horizons. Listen to the children.

This Week’s Mystic Message from The Divine Feminine: The Children are the cosmic beings – listen to them!

Dear Ones,

Can you hear the winds of change blowing through the world in these days?  There are so many changes coming that you will start to see people being thrown off balance by what is happening around them.

The cries of those in need will become louder and the boasting of those who have more than they need will turn to compassion as they start to see themselves as connected to all others.  Oh, we know that there are some who are unable to experience compassion but most members of the human family are, by nature, compassionate people who have been trained into selfishness by society.  In most societies on Planet Earth there is a sense of connection, with nature, with others and with the cosmos as a whole.  The cycles of nature on Planet Earth are understood by most of her peoples.  The understanding that what one individual does affects all others is widespread on the Planet.

It is only in those societies that have lost sight of this connection to others where you can see the individualism that prevents human consciousness from expanding.

But we would speak to you today of the coming changes, that which you who are on the path of Conscious Living can look forward to.

People all over Planet Earth are feeling the coming changes.  Earthquakes shake the physical world but the energetic world is also being shaken up.  Light is beginning to form in places where before there was darkness.  Those who wish to resist change are starting to become enlightened about the need for change.  You will first see this in how the children of the Planet are being treated.

The children alive on Planet Earth today are a special breed of the New Human.  They have an intelligence that defies your intelligence testing and analysis.  They are cosmic beings who have actively chosen to assist Planet Earth in her evolution toward expanded consciousness.  Look at those who have been born in the last 20 or so years as the ones who will carry changes through the coming times and into the future.  These children do not communicate well with those who are older because it is as if they come from a different planet.  In fact, they do.  These children were born on the former Planet Earth but are truly here to be inhabitants of the coming, energized and expanded Planet Earth.  Only those adults who are able to expand into the new consciousness will be able to keep up with these children.

It is precisely because these are New Humans that your medical and educational and societal systems do not work appropriately for them.  These children do not need to be drugged – they need to be protected as the super-sensitive beings that they are.  They are not to be confined by structures created for a society of hundreds of years ago – they must be supported and listened to as they are the ones who understand the coming energies from a cosmic perspective.

Listen to the little ones.  Ask them questions about what they understand.  Listen to the questions they ask and help them to explore answers, for the answers you might have given 20 years ago will no longer serve.  Spend some time with young people even if they are not blood-related to you, for you will certainly learn from them.

And then decide to open your horizons, expand to become a conscious cosmic being yourself.  You can do this by being open-minded.  Connect with others and understand that all are one, there is no separation.  This is the most important message for the coming changes – there can be no isolationists.  All are connected.  All are One with the Source.  It is the children who know this.  Listen to them.

And so it is.
