Happy New Moon today! At 11:54 am Eastern Time the Sun and the Moon meet up with each other in the sign of Leo. This is the sign with fiery energy to be creative and to love. It’s nice to be back in beautiful Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay with all of our ‘stuff’ stored away and awaiting the time when we move into our own space. Meanwhile we are still staying with our daughter and her family and are greatly appreciative of the time with family. As the Summer winds down and preparations for the school year begin, we enjoy the last days of play time.

Are you ready for the school year to begin? It’s interesting that even when you don’t have kids in school anymore there’s something about the Fall of the year that feels like new beginnings. I’ve decided to offer more classes this Fall, kind of a ‘back-to-school’ time for spiritual students! Look for the announcement of these classes that will be offered via video conference so you can participate from wherever your location is. Whew! We’re in Maryland. The house in Colorado belongs to the new owners. The truck is unloaded and all of our belongings made it across the country to our temporary home in our daughter’s house in Annapolis and to three storage units nearby.

A HUGE Thank You goes out to all who helped us with this move. After the Waldo Canyon Wildfire spared our house, we were hurrying to turn it over to a family who had lost everything. It would not have happened yet if not for the untiring efforts of some amazing friends-who-are-family in Colorado Springs. There is no way we can express the depth of our gratitude except to say ‘thank you’ with great love!

And Thank You to all who have donated to Church of A New Alliance to assist in moving the operation from Colorado to Maryland and the East Coast! We are working on the schedule now to begin to offer events locally and online so that you can join us for spiritual exploration fun no matter where you live. Stay tuned for the big changes that are coming! [After we catch our breath, of course!]

It has been great fun to meet some new people recently who have taken advantage of the Birthday Special readings! Welcome to RosemarySpace! And it has been fun for me to be doing Hand Analysis Updates for people who are learning how their handprints reflect the changes they are making in their lives. It’s amazing to see that the lines, which represent neural pathways in the brain, actually do change, and rapidly, when those pathways change, while the fingerprints stay the same for the whole life. Doing an update every 6-12 months really keeps you on top of where you need to focus your personal growth efforts! Your life is in your hands!

The exciting astrological news is that Mercury went Direct on August 8th! Woo Hoo! Communication improves, driving improves, people are able to concentrate better! This means that Mercury now appears, from the vantage point of Earth, to be moving ahead again instead of backward. Hope you were careful during that retrograde!

The coming week is Old Moon Week. Next Friday, August 17th is the New Moon so between now and then the Moon is diminishing in size in the sky. [Really, it only looks smaller.] With the Old Moon we can still release the ‘old stuff’ that is hanging around in our lives. What can you let go of this week? A thought or belief? A book or a ‘thing’? A relationship? A job? What doesn’t fit into your present NOW? Decide and then let go so that there is space for the New Moon on the 17th to be free to bring something new into your life!

Looking forward to catching up to our old friends and to making new ones as we settle in to the East Coast living once again.

Well, it’s been quite a week! As I write this, we are in the midst of the packing and loading to move out of Colorado Springs and complete the move to Annapolis, Maryland. The house now belongs to someone else. The Colorado chapter is closed and a new relationship with this beautiful state is opening. We will come back to visit and to vacation. Places and people never leave our consciousness; they just leave the calendar for awhile.

Thank you to the wonderful folks of Colorado Springs who have supported our work over the last 12 years. We have made friends with some fantastic people and neither time nor distance can diminish the cords of connection with you. We have certainly grown during our time of owning the beautiful house in Mountain Shadows. We hope our work and play time here has been of benefit to you.

And so we look forward to the next chapter. We become East Coasters, living in the Washington, DC area, living surrounded with family and friends, in familiar surroundings from the 31 years that Richard and I have been together. We’ll celebrate our joint birthdays [August 2] after we get re-settled in Annapolis and start our New Years with a triumphant closure to the old ones.

We are in Full Moon energy this weekend. What are you ready to release from your life? We released a house and friends that we’ve loved in Colorado. We released truckloads of ‘stuff’ that no longer serve our lives going forward. A big release for our birthday gifts to ourselves!

Every letting go creates space for bringing in something new. What are you wishing for? Think about what you would like to make space for and then release whatever it takes as we make our way toward the next New Moon.

Remember that Mercury is still retrograde [appearing from Earth as if it is traveling backward] until Wednesday, August 8 at 1:40 AM Eastern Daylight Time. Continue to retreat, review, re-examine what works and what doesn’t work. Releasing during the Mercury Retrograde can be very powerful! And you will be ready to ring in the NEW when we have our next New Moon on Friday, August 17th.

Thank you all for your support during this incredible, transformative time! It took the Waldo Canyon Wildfire for us to sell our house but the new owners are thrilled to moving into the new chapter of their lives, too.

August 2, 2012 I will be flying back on our mutual birthday to pick up where I left off in rebuilding the business and moving the Spiritual Study Center (Church of A New Alliance) to Maryland. I’ll be leaving Richard and son, James to the task of loading a truck and driving our remaining collection of “stuff”eastward.

The Spiritual Study Center is a “church” Richard and I created in Colorado as a 501(c)(3) organization. Now that our move back to Maryland is in the completion process we will be ramping up the acuities of the Center again.

This is also the Feast of Lughnasadh [Lammas] which is a Celtic festival of the harvest, the first day of reaping what has been sown and is growing in the fields. Celebrate the harvest in your life! What are you reaping? And if you don’t like it, then sow something else!

As we celebrate the changes in our personal lives, we are moving in new directions with the offerings through The Scientific Mystic and Church of A New Alliance. Now we are making all the choices about what to pack, what to sell and what to leave behind. It’s an arduous task but so freeing to only hold what we truly want and to let all the rest of it go!

Hello from Colorado Springs. We are here to move out of the house that survived the wildfire. The devastation is amazing, but so is the contrast with a block like ours where it appears as if nothing has happened. The people who are buying our house lived about 200 feet away from here and lost everything. And yet our house is in perfect condition. The deer and bunnies were back in the yard drinking at the pond. The grass is green, the deck is perfect. The only word I can think of is ‘surreal.’

And we are in great gratitude! We are sorting through our belongings now, making decisions about what to take to Maryland and what to let go of. What a perfect thing to do during a Mercury Retrograde and as we experience the New Moon in Cancer! July 14, 2012 We are driving back to Colorado Springs to accomplish a number of things. For one, we have a solid contract to sell the house to a young family displaced by the Waldo Canyon Wildfire. We are so pleased we are in a position to do this.

Naturally they need to settle and move in as soon as possible! This means we have to move out much faster than we had anticipated. Yet again we are called to trust that “everything will work out for the best.”

We’ll have two weeks to pack and load. We are still thinking through the logistics of this complicated move. We are fortunate to have the good friends in Colorado to call on for any help they can offer. And we have good friends and family in Maryland to help on this end of the move.

We are truly blessed in so many ways. And we are ever in deep gratitude for all we receive!

***Waldo Canyon Fire***
Current Status: The fire is now 100% contained. And many people are facing the difficulty of picking up the pieces of their lives, completely displaced by this tragedy. We are still receiving calls from neighbors who are looking to rent our house while they rebuild.

Many need help with this move and their recovery. We too are in need of your help and support. We have established a “Fire Recovery Fund” through our Church and Spiritual Study Center. Please consider a tax deductible donation to this 501(c)(3) organization. Your generosity will support hundreds of people affected by the wildfire.

Our Colorado Springs house is standing intact and is going to help a family recover from the Waldo Canyon Wildfire! This picture was taken of the back of our house by our neighbor as he prepared to flee the oncoming flames. The fire destroyed houses all around our block but our block is still standing. A family who lost everything is buying our house so that they can begin rebuilding their life. We are happy to be supporting them and their movement forward.

We, too, are moving forward as we are facing the sale of that house. Because the family buying the house are desperate to move in quickly, we will be heading back to Colorado soon and going through the packing/loading/moving process in a compressed time. If you live in Colorado, we would appreciate any help you can give us there! Packing, moving materials (boxes, paper, tape, etc.), meals, loading the truck, whatever! And we are eager now to get our Spiritual Exploration Group onto the Internet so that people from all over can join us. We’ll let you know when that starts up again.
