BOOK LIGHTS: from “Perfect Health, The Complete Mind/Body Guide” by Deepak Chopra, MD

“It is fascinating to see how perfect health dovetails into a broader intellectual movement that is rocking the foundations of science.  Ilya Prigogine, Nobel Prize winner in chemistry in 1977 and a pioneer in this movement, calls it ‘the reenchantment of nature’ – the realization that nature is not a machine but a wondrous environment whose hidden possibilities are barely guessed at today.  Nature is like a radio band with infinite stations: the reality you are now experiencing is only one station on the band completely convincing as long as you stay tuned to it, but masking the other choices that lie on either side.”

from Perfect Health, The Complete Mind/Body Guide
by Deepak Chopra, MD

Chopra wrote this book 20 years ago and we are still exploring the previously hidden possibilities.  How flexible are you at moving the radio dial so that you can expand your concept of reality?  Try it!

MUSE-INGS: Can you live Oneness? by Rosemary Bredeson

Are you connected with New Thought?  This seems to be defining a sort of movement among humans.  Are you willing to explore this?

We get so wedded to the beliefs and ideas in our own minds that we think they define reality. ‘You have to work hard to make money.’  ‘You have to be skinny to be beautiful.’  ‘Girls can’t do math.’

I could make a list a mile long and there would still be more beliefs at work. [As an aside, I’m glad I didn’t believe that last one because I did major in Math in college!]  But often these beliefs are at an unconscious level within us and we are unaware that they are at work in our lives.

But if unconscious beliefs are operating in our lives then what do we do to make a shift?  The first place to do this is to examine our beliefs.  Working with what we believe instead of trying to change the world around us is a powerful tool for personal growth.  If we understand the concept of Oneness we look through the eyes of connection to others instead of searching for differences to separate us.

I think we need to be open to the concepts that are being brought to our attention at any given time.  In political discussions, the question to ask is, ‘Am I looking at this issue within the concept of the Oneness of all or am I narrowing my perspective to my own position without regard to others or the whole?’  In our families, do we act in the world as if we are a unit or are we constantly competing with others?  In our work are we collaborative or competitive to the point of lying or taking unscrupulous actions?

In a personal relationship it is easy to act unconsciously in a way that does not take the other person’s feelings, views, beliefs into account.  What if, instead, we stepped into their shoes and looked through the lens of their reality and beliefs?  Might we see things differently?

Quantum Physics is showing us that there is a connection through space and time that calls into question a lot of our beliefs about a mechanistic Universe.  Modern mind-body medicine is showing us that our bodies are not machines but are so much greater than just some moving mechanical parts.  All of this is a part of New Thought.  We have greater understanding of The Greater.

More evidence arrives constantly to show us that there are other sentient beings in the Universe.  The Hubble Space Telescope, which it was my privilege to work on for 12 years, continues to reveal the secrets of the Universe so that we can better understand our place within this developing miracle.

The people who have lived with narrow, stifling beliefs about their superiority over others, about judging others and finding them failing, about the need to convert others to their beliefs because they have ‘the Truth’ are starting to lose their power.  Individuals are evolving into a New Human who understands that one can be a part of a whole, interconnected and related, while maintaining their individuality.

Ask yourself how you understand Oneness in the 21st Century. Does the concept bring up any fear in you?  Are you willing to see all who are inhabiting our beautiful Planet Earth as part of your own journey, for better or for education?

Just observe this week the people around you and see if you can learn something about New Thought.  Who is having the conversation about what is a growth topic versus what sounds like backward thinking?  Do not judge for that is not a factor of Oneness.  Merely observe.  And observe your reaction to what you see and hear.  Notice how others treat those around them.

Peace on Planet Earth will come when her inhabitants embrace each other as Earthlings.  Peace on a large scale requires that individuals experience peace within themselves.

May the experience of Oneness spread Peace upon the Planet.

BOOK LIGHTS: from “11:11 Inside the Doorway” by Solara

“The most important thing we can do for Starchildren is to be our True Selves around them. They don’t need immersion in any third dimensional patterns of thinking and behavior! They need us to embody our fully empowered True Core Selves, communicating with them as one starry being to another. We can serve as each other’s link between the Higher Realms and the world of matter. And then we can enjoy the delightful blessings which Starchildren bring us–joy, fresh energy and insights from the Greater Reality!”

The children of Planet Earth in the 21st Century are asking us to be their Muses. As we become empowered we help them to manifest their True Selves.

MUSE-INGS: “The Muse Speaks” by Rosemary Bredeson

‘I do everything the voices in my head tell me to do’ reads the tee shirt.  Or the husband wears the one with ‘I do everything the voices in my wife’s head tell her to tell me to do.’

We joke about hearing a voice so much that we label as insane anyone who says they hear a voice.  But why is that so bad?  Granted, there are some people who are not able to distinguish between their life and a myriad of voices that they hear and they do have a struggle with sanity.  But sane people can be connected with other voices and can learn from the guidance available.

I have a friend who suffered from Meniere’s Disease and had pain and ringing in her ears.  It lasted for 7 years until she agreed that she would channel the guidance coming from a Muse named ‘Rose.’  The disease went away when she started sharing the messages she was receiving.  She is sane and has been very helpful to a lot of people since that day.

My granddaughter used to give people messages from their power animals when she was 5-6 years old.  She was hearing what the animals wanted the person to know that day.  She is now a happy, healthy teenager who wants to be a veterinarian.

I could list a lot of people who have heard voices.  Have you ever felt a voice inside that seems to be saying, ‘Call your friend’?  And when you do, your friend says, ‘I was just thinking about you’?  We’ve all had this experience.

When faced with issues in our lives we often focus on the ‘Woe is me!’ thought instead of asking for and listening to guidance.  And when faced with the proverbial blank page at the start of a creative project, who hasn’t wished they had The Muse standing in the room with them to drop the ideas into their head?

Often when I work with clients, especially in the Mystic Transformation Days where we spend a whole day together delving into developing their roadmap through the next steps for them, the messages come through with new possibilities, new ways to view what is going on, new insights and tools and directions to follow.  In that way, I can act as a Muse, an inspiration, reaching beyond the problems into other dimensions where the solutions dwell.

Anyone who is willing can learn to reach into those solution spaces by allowing their thoughts to drift into ‘What if?’ territory.  Staring at a blank page of paper doesn’t necessarily bring ideas with which to fill the paper, but relaxing one’s vision as one looks at the paper can allow an image to emerge that calls the person to become a scribe for The Muse.

It is said that many geniuses took naps to find solutions to their problems.  This allows the person to get out of their own way and to allow creative ideas to emerge.  Contact your Muse while you sleep.  Incubate the dream of your solution or the germ of your creative idea by simply asking, before you sleep, for your Muse to inspire you [and to help you remember the dream!].

Try living your life this week in the ‘What if?’ mode and see what possibilities your Muse shows you!  And, if you get stuck, I’m happy to be Your Muse!

All is One.  If every human being subscribed to this philosophy, imagine the world we could create!  This is the concept that we are being called to understand.  Let’s use this as the lens through which we look at all our decisions.

MUSE-INGS: “Can you feel the Energy of Oneness?” by Rosemary Bredeson

Are you hearing the Hum of the Universe?  Are you ready to raise your vibrational level?  And what does all this mean?

The first meaning of this message has to be a charge to us to move away from a life of fear.  Too many people are struggling in fear and living their lives without a sense of community because fear has caused them to distrust others.  Somehow, those who live in fear are concerned that they won’t have enough and that, if you do have what you need, you are taking something away from them.  I’m not sure where this myth started but I have some ideas.

What if people started to examine their fears to see if they are real?  If there really is a sabre-toothed tiger chasing you then you should probably run [or do something to protect yourself].  But if there is a societal problem then perhaps being in fear is not the most resourceful place to be.  What if, instead of hoarding or trying to keep you from having something so that my store isn’t diminished, we worked together to find solutions so that everyone is taken care of?  This is what community is all about.

Remember the Y2K concerns and how some people were stocking up on supplies in case transportation was disrupted, some communities were making arrangements for people to be taken care of, and some folks felt it necessary to stock up on bullets in case someone tried to get food or water from them?

Well, humanity needs to evolve beyond that.  The Energy of Oneness brings us into an awareness of the Other, all those other people who are connected to us, whether we know them or not.  Awareness of the needs of self and others can foster compassion in us, if we allow that to be so.  Or it can trigger that ‘gather up the bullets so I can protect what is mine’ energy.  Which do you choose today?

Think about this message and the Hum of the Universe that is being noticed.  We can choose the vibrational level at which we operate.  We can choose to open our hearts to be active within the energy of Love.  We can eat, shop, relate to Mother Earth responsibly and choose to lift our own vibration.  We can advocate and share and connect with others to help the community experience a raised vibration.

I recently worked at a Self Care Fair sponsored by the GLBT Chamber of Commerce in Colorado Springs.  Among many interesting conversations we talked about our ‘aha’ moments and living our passions.  When is the last time you had a deep and meaningful conversation with friends and/or acquaintances about subjects that went beyond the surface of shallow topics?  Creating deep connections with others in our communities will help us to live the Energy of Oneness.

One of the participants in these conversations is a coach who said that she had someone assume she was a witch because she used words like ‘transformation’ and ‘alignment’ to describe her coaching programs.  Imagine the fear under which one must operate to leap from the word ‘transformation’ to being afraid of a witch!  Obviously, this person was taught to fear and even words that should have been neutral disturbed her so much that she leapt to the conclusion that only a witch would use them and, to her, ‘witch’ was also something to fear.  How sad.

Listen to the Hum of the Universe and let go of fear.  You are a part of a community of Sensitives who are responding to this Hum by focusing on Oneness, not separation.  Take comfort that there are many others who hear the Hum and who are buoyed by the knowledge that humanity is evolving into greater consciousness.

Welcome to the community of the fully human!

BOOK LIGHTS: from “2012: You Have a Choice! Archangelic Answers & Practices for the Quantum Leap” by Sri Ram Kaa and Kira Raa

“Karma has become a habitual orientation.  To be free, one must recognize that karma is now a limiting belief and accept its release.  Expansion is different than cycling through the same energy over and over again.  It is in the recognition of the release of karma that we free ourselves from a repetitive cycle!  Alternatively, you can engage your co-creative power to stay focused on the wheel of karma and disregard the power of the present moment.”

from 2012: You Have a Choice!  Archangelic Answers & Practices for the Quantum Leap
by Sri Ram Kaa and Kira Raa

These authors are teaching that karma has been released and we have the choice to move into greater modes of co-creating our lives or to stay stuck on the wheel of karma.  When you choose to grow you can actually become that powerful co-creator with The Universe of the Life you desire.  Are you ready to ask the right questions and expand your understanding?

MUSE-INGS: ‘Why? Why? Why?’ by Rosemary Bredeson

Remember the two-year-old asking, ‘Why? Why? Why?’

Why do you suppose that question was so important to that little mind?

I wonder if the question was deeper than we thought.  Why is the grass green?  Why is there a snake swimming in the water?  Why is it thundering?  Why can’t I have a pony?

Every two-year-old has no problem coming up with an exhausting [for Mommy & Daddy!] list of items about which to ask, ‘Why?’  Maybe we get so tired of asking that question when we’re two that we exhaust ourselves and forget to keep asking as we grow older.  Or Mom & Dad get so exhausted that we figure we’d better quit to keep the peace.

But maybe it’s time to reinstate that question but ask it of ourselves instead of our parents. Why am I choosing to do this?  Why do I believe this way and not that way?  Why am I acting like this?  Why am I voting this way?  Why do I drive the way I do?  Why am I eating this? Drinking this?  Thinking this?

What if we continued to ask ourselves ‘Why’ questions all throughout the day?  This just might lead to a deeper connection with our inner self and our behaviors.  Every decision would then become a conscious decision.  Every emotion could be examined in the moment to get to the feeling behind the emotion and possibly to the belief behind that feeling.  Every interaction with another person could be informed by our understanding of why we are interacting in a certain manner.  This consciousness might even lead to an apology or a change in behavior in the middle of the interaction.

And what about the answers that we don’t like when we ask the questions?  Why don’t I like this person?  Because they remind me of my 4th grade teacher who was mean to me for a whole year.  Wow!  Wouldn’t that be a revelation?  And the poor person who in the 21st Century had nothing to do with that teacher was suffering because of an unconscious resemblance!

Much of what we do, say, believe comes from our unconscious mind and it can stay unconscious as long as we choose to ignore it or to avoid examining it.  This is not conscious living.

So decide today to start asking yourself ‘Why?’  throughout the day.  Be as relentless as you were when you were two years old.  Ask ‘Why?’ and then ask the ‘Why?’ behind that.  Keep going until you feel your have reached your ‘aha.’  The first answer might not be the most meaningful.  The two-year-old inside you knows to keep going, that there is always another layer to the question and to the answer.

And no fair answering your inner two-year-old with ‘Just because!’

BOOK LIGHTS: from “The Power of Focus” by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen and Les Hewitt, quoting Harry Alder in “NLP: The New Art and Science of Getting What You Want”

“But it is far more common to have a mixture of self-beliefs, some of which are positive or ’empowering’ and some of which are negative or ‘disempowering.’ … So we each have a range of self-beliefs, covering the many facets of our work, social and domestic life; and we need to be specific when identifying those that affect what we achieve.  We need to replace disempowering ones with empowering ones.”

fromThe Power of Focus
by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen and Les Hewitt, quoting Harry Alder in
NLP: The New Art and Science of Getting What You Want

Our beliefs operate at an unconscious level within us and need to be brought up into consciousness awareness so that we can identify and work with them.  This is the ‘inner work’ that we are being called to do so that we can claim our inner power!

MUSE-INGS: “Power is a loaded concept!” by Rosemary Bredeson

We often think of power when we think of governments or titans of business or the power of the strong over the weak.  But I like to think of power as electricity, the power that runs the computer or the dishwasher, the power that enhances the usefulness of an appliance or a person because they are plugged into the source.

Where does your power come from?  Are you constantly looking outside yourself for validation or energy or acceptance?  If so, are you giving away your power to others?

I know it is not easy to admit that we are giving away our power but it happens all the time, and often in subtle ways.  If someone is really bugging you, do you let it eat away at you all day?  That’s a form of giving away your power.  How about a romantic partner?  Are you holding in your feelings and going along with what they want instead of standing up for yourself or speaking your mind in the relationship?  This is another way that it is easy to give away your power.  How about at work or in your business – are you constantly deferring to others rather than standing up for your opinions and backing up your own suggestions? You give away your power at work, too.

There are times in every parent’s life when they choose to give power to the 2-year-old tyrant because the parent has become exhausted by the tantrum.  Admit it, you’ve probably done this once or twice if you’re a parent.  And if you have a pet, you have probably, once or twice, given them an extra treat when they whined or performed or begged, right?

What about when you didn’t vote in an election and were disappointed in the result – did you give away your power then?  Have you stood by silently and allowed one person to tell a joke that offended someone else in the group?  That’s another way of giving away your power.

There are so many situations in your life that give you an opportunity to claim your power as it comes from within you or to quietly allow that power to drift away from you.  We do it with our parents, our kids, our bosses, our mates, even our pets.  But the most insidious giving up of our powers comes when we fail to examine our beliefs, our own thoughts.  Sometimes we give our power up to a belief that has been handed down to us for generations because we never stop to examine that belief and to question whether it is actually true for us today.

Have you ever seen a family of doctors where the family belief is that all the male children become doctors?  Or ‘everyone in our family is a lawyer/farmer/accountant/teacher/whatever’?  And how often is there a child in the family who has amazing talent as a dancer or a painter but they allow that to be a hobby because they feel compelled to become a doctor or a lawyer or a teacher?   They give away their power to the belief that came from outside of them.

When I work with clients we often uncover beliefs that they aren’t even aware they are carrying but that cause them to give away their inner connection to their power because they’ve never examined that belief before.  Ask yourself if there are any beliefs about power or your inner power that you can examine and maybe choose to change.

Beliefs are powerful things.  Make sure you are choosing consciously to believe what you believe.  Examine the source of your beliefs, especially around power.  It is a good thing to be in touch with your inner power.  This is not the same as exerting power over the powerless.  See if you have any hidden beliefs around this issue that might be holding you back from manifesting your Life Purpose on the Planet.  This exercise could turn your Life around!
