Whew! Summer has arrived and it’s been pretty hot here in Maryland. I’m not a fan of warm, humid weather so I’m wishing I had an air-conditioned bubble in which to travel so that I wouldn’t have to feel this heat. And lest you think I complain about the cold weather, too, I don’t. You can always add clothing to get warm but there’s only so much you can take off…

We had a lot of celestial events last week and now Mercury is in retrograde motion. This means that the planet Mercury, when viewed from Earth, appears to travel backwards in the sky. That’s a metaphor for what happens with communications when Mercury is retrograde – they can get all backwards! Be careful what you are signing, writing, speaking. And because Mercury is retrograde everyone will be focusing inward so drive defensively. This is a great time to go inside and do that inner work that you might have been putting off. It’s also a good time to complete unfinished projects. Mercury doesn’t move forward until July 20 so be vigilant!

In the US we’re celebrating our Independence Day on July 4. What do you do to celebrate? My family’s tradition is to watch the Severna Park parade with the whole extended family. It’s fun to remember my Mom, who passed away in 2000, as she cheered for the parade every year. Please be careful and safe as you observe the holiday! And, since it is usually hot, I’ve decided it’s okay to stay inside in the air-conditioning and watch fireworks on TV! We also watch the movie ‘1776’ every year to remind us of the struggle for independence that the founding fathers endured. It’s also a really good movie.

NEXT CONVERSATION WITH THE OTHER SIDE: will be in Annapolis and ONLINE on Saturdayevening, July 13 at 7:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time. I hope that those of you who have been unable to join us during the weekday events will be able to carve some time out of a busy Summer weekend to receive some guidance from an angel, a guide, a loved one who has crossed over. At a Conversation several years ago John Adams came with a message for a participant and he might reappear in honor of Independence Day this time. We’ve had pets, future selves, giant angels, little cherubs and lots of members of family trees arrive with their guidance for the individuals and the group. Happy Solstice! Today’s the day!

And Happy Sun in the sign of Cancer the Crab!

And Happy Full Moon on the 23rd!

A busy week in the skies!

Let’s talk about the Summer (in the northern hemisphere) Solstice first. This occurred at 1:04 am Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) TODAY, Friday, June 21 when the Sun went into Cancer. We know this is the longest day of the year, the day with the longest period of sunlight. Let this be a metaphor for you to let in the maximum amount of Light that you can absorb into your own energy field. This is a powerful time that invites us to accelerate our evolutionary process by accessing inner wisdom to shine that Light onto our path ahead. What are you doing for yourself in these days of transformation that take you in quantum leaps forward in your growth? Meditation? Time in Nature? Spiritual gatherings with like-minded others? Give yourself permission to explore new ideas so that you can experience exponential growth at this time!

The Sun is in the sign of Cancer and for the next month we’re called to focus on home, on nurturing, on family. Enjoy this energy and notice how your attention goes to nurturing others and yourself. What a beautiful time, astrologically, to receive a message from The Divine Feminine about the Heart of Humanity! [see below]

On Sunday, June 23 at 7:32 am EDT we’ll experience the Super Moon Full Moon where the Sun is in Cancer and the Moon is in the opposite sign of Capricorn. This is occurring when the Moon is at its closest point to Earth this year. This weekend would be a great time to do a Solstice/Full Moon meditation and get a vision of the next three months for yourself.

Pay attention this week to the ways that you ignore your own needs or those of others. Have you been wanting to schedule that self-care appointment but have been putting it off? This is the week to pick up the phone. This could be as simple as getting a massage or a manicure or it could be the time to finally schedule that Scientific Hand Analysis to learn your Life Purpose or to join a coaching program. The energy is the ‘do it now’ energy and it’s a good time to nurture yourself. When you have taken care of your own needs, you are better able to serve others from the Heart of Humanity.

NEWS FROM ROSEMARY

Storms. Tornadoes. Wildfires.

Quite a week! We’ve had tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings to deal with [safely] while we watch the heartbreaking wildfire in Colorado Springs. We lived through this scenario last year when it was our house in Colorado that was in the path of the Waldo Canyon Wildfire. Thankfully, we learned our house survived intact and we sold it to a family that hadn’t been so fortunate. This year, it is the homes of friends that are threatened by the Black Forest Wildfire. We pray for our Colorado Springs ‘family’!

I also had a great time recently speaking about the Hubble Space Telescope to a group of 4th Grade classmates of our grandson, Josh. It was fun for The Scientific Mystic to talk about science with some intelligent, curious kids asking really good questions! (In case you aren’t familiar with my background, I worked for NASA on the Hubble Project before becoming a full-time spiritual counselor/coach/medium/mystic.)

This is the final week of the season of Spring. Summer Solstice is next Friday, June 21, at 1:03 am Eastern Daylight Time, when the Sun moves into the sign of Cancer. Are you ready for Summer? This is the time for big growth, just as our gardens demonstrate! And Cancer is about nurturing ourselves and each other. Make some plans for the longest day of the year. NEWS FROM ROSEMARY

Happy June to you! As I write this I am listening to a nice Spring rain watering the tomato plants and flowers in the yard and bringing the water to the reservoirs for us to drink. Do you move into gratitude when it rains or do you curse the raindrops that destroy your hairdo and get your shoes wet? The answer to that question is your choice about which thoughts to follow!

Follow the Exquisite Thoughts that are filled with wonder at Mother Nature and her bountiful gifts! Follow the thoughts that feel expansive instead of contracting. And be open to shifting into new thought patterns.

Tomorrow is a New Moon, at 11:58 am Eastern Daylight Time, in thoughtful Gemini. After the last 3 Moon events brought eclipses with them, this New Moon should be a gentler push that “stimulates our awareness of our biases and beliefs, so that we can become more deeply connected with each other and our surroundings.” [–The Mountain Astrologer magazine]

Use this New Moon energy to focus on a new way of thinking about the shifts that are happening in these important days in history. At every level of existence we are transforming, some of us participating consciously and others being dragged kicking and screaming into the New Earth. How we accept change says a lot about how we live our lives. At the New Moon it’s a great time to do some ritual welcoming change into your life. New ways of thinking bring new energies. Accept them with gratitude!

In addition to the events listed below, there’s a special event on our calendar this week. Our grandson, Cody, is graduating from the 8th Grade and heading off to high school! Congratulations, Cody!!! We’ve very proud of all of our grandchildren and this is a special milestone. This is also why we moved back to Maryland – to be with family at the milestone moments. We had an ‘aha!’ moment that led us to focus on our values and make our choices about where to live based on ‘family.’

NEWS FROM ROSEMARY

We’re ready for June and the graduations, weddings and Summer celebrations that that brings. The weather in Maryland has really heated up into the 90s with high humidity. Have you guessed yet that I really prefer cooler weather? Maybe I should visit Down Under where it’s heading into Winter. But with the heat comes the afternoon thunderstorm that clears away all the pollen and leaves behind fresh air – usually.

Last week’s Full Moon/Eclipse was like a Summer thunderstorm, blowing in and storming for a bit and helping to clear the air. Did you feel it? Everyone around here did in some way. It was potent! And we cannot go back to the way things were before. We are transformed and transforming. There is only moving forward.

This week is relatively quiet in the heavens so we get a bit of a respite after that Eclipse! This will be a good time, though, to connect with our deep inner feelings of self-worth, that Inner Splendor that I call the Inner Light. Self-analysis and emotional release help us to move forward with consciousness into whatever is next for us. Are you ready to do that introspection?

June 5 is the anniversary of the passing of my Father. He died in 1983, 7 weeks before Richard & I were married. We still miss him, but he visits when he has a message for me. I wouldn’t be surprised if he shows up at June’s Conversation with The Other Side on June 14! [Just in time for Father’s Day.]

Join us in Annapolis or online for the Conversation with The Other Side where you will receive a message of guidance from someone in another dimension. It might be an angel or a spirit guide or YOUR loved one who has crossed over. Places are filling up and the space is limited because everyone does receive a personal message, although this is a fun group event and each message can have relevance for every participant. We’ve even had famous folks show up to teach the group – John Adams, Stradivari – so we never know who will join us! I’m planning a Weekend Retreat in the Fall for a small group of women to head to the ocean and Come Back To Center! Still working on a venue so stay tuned. Hope to have a date nailed down soon. There are some fun and transformative activities planned and some great women are planning to be a part of this, so do look for the info coming soon!
