MYSTIC MESSAGE from The Divine Feminine: How’s 2012 Treating You?

Dear Ones,

The energies of 2012 are speeding up and those who are Awakened Ones are feeling the energetic shifts in their personal, professional and political lives. Are you awake?

In personal lives, transformations are occurring at a rapid pace. People are dealing with changes that they had never imagined. Relationships, homes, health, finances – all areas are showing signs of restructuring. How is the energy of transformation showing up in your life today?

Professional lives are shifting in enormous ways around the globe. Businesses are being forced to reassess their mission and their relationship to employees. Employees are rethinking loyalty to a company that displays no loyalty to them. Many are shifting their energies from being employed by a big company to creating their own company and becoming entrepreneurs. Taking charge of generating one’s own income is a form of financial independence that relying on a paycheck from someone else cannot equal.

One’s political life doesn’t really mean being a member of a particular political party. Rather, it refers to one’s life as a member of the ‘body politic’ or the collection of individuals in a certain place. Are you examining your role in your community? Are you assessing your values as they relate to others around you? Are you able to make decisions considering the well-being of all rather than your own selfish desires? Are you acting in a way that creates a healthy relationship with those around you and with Mother Earth? Are you cognizant of generations to come and what your choices today mean to those future generations?

2012 has long been heralded as the year that would bring with it major changes. Many have posited what those changes would be. We would tell you that the place to look for change is within yourself and within your own sphere of life. Are you actively pursuing your personal growth? This is really your only mission for these days of 2012.

Personal growth is the path to change for your higher good. One can never stand still, no matter how hard you try or how much you resist change. The energy of transformation is around and inside of you. Your DNA has been awaiting this moment in time so that you could blossom into the New Human that the evolution of human consciousness has created. 2012 energies support your shifting from the old paradigms into the new. If you resist, you will be attempting to hold back a mighty push of evolutionary energy. Do you really want to spend yourself fighting that push?

Resisting change is really a choice to move backward. Awakened Ones are people who are willing to evolve. Knowing that change is a part of the evolutionary process allows you to ‘go with the flow,’ to move in the direction of greater consciousness, higher awareness.

Reach for this growth. Examine yourself in the light of 2012 consciousness. Your Life Purpose is waiting to be expressed as a part of helping humanity to its higher level of understanding, an expression of the Consciousness of the Universe.

Self-examination for personal growth allows whatever is happening around you in 2012 to have meaning. You are a part of the evolutionary process underway. You can choose to resist and go backward or you can choose to move forward. There is no standing still.

Which direction will you choose?

WHERE’S ROSEMARY

We’ve headed out to Colorado and should be arriving today, Monday. If you are here in Colorado Springs, we’d love to see you. We’ll be sorting, packing, arranging, selling and loading before heading out with all of our stuff to Maryland late July/early August! Come by and lend a hand if you are handy!

***Heading to Colorado for the big move!***
July 14, 2012 We are driving back to Colorado Springs to accomplish a number of things. For one, we have a solid contract to sell the house to a young family displaced by the Waldo Canyon Wildfire. We are so pleased we are in a position to do this.

Naturally they need to settle and move in as soon as possible! This means we have to move out much faster than we had anticipated. Yet again we are called to trust that “everything will work out for the best.”

We’ll have two weeks to pack and load. We are still thinking through the logistics of this complicated move. We are fortunate to have the good friends in Colorado to call on for any help they can offer. And we have good friends and family in Maryland to help on this end of the move.

We are truly blessed in so many ways. And we are ever in deep gratitude for all we receive!

Consider offering some help!

***The Daily Muse***

***Waldo Canyon Fire***
Current Status: The fire is now 100% contained. And many people are facing the difficulty of picking up the pieces of their lives, completely displaced by this tragedy. We are still receiving calls from neighbors who are looking to rent our house while they rebuild.

Many need help with this move and their recovery. We too are in need of your help and support. We have established a “Fire Recovery Fund” through our Church and Spiritual Study Center. Please consider a tax deductible donation to this 501(c)(3) organization. Your generosity will support hundreds of people affected by the wildfire.

NEWS FROM ROSEMARY

Our Colorado Springs house is standing intact and is going to help a family recover from the Waldo Canyon Wildfire! This picture was taken of the back of our house by our neighbor as he prepared to flee the oncoming flames. The fire destroyed houses all around our block but our block is still standing. A family who lost everything is buying our house so that they can begin rebuilding their life. We are happy to be supporting them and their movement forward.

We, too, are moving forward as we are facing the sale of that house. Because the family buying the house are desperate to move in quickly, we will be heading back to Colorado soon and going through the packing/loading/moving process in a compressed time. If you live in Colorado, we would appreciate any help you can give us there! Packing, moving materials (boxes, paper, tape, etc.), meals, loading the truck, whatever! And we are eager now to get our Spiritual Exploration Group onto the Internet so that people from all over can join us. We’ll let you know when that starts up again.

The wildfire has helped us to shift perspectives to our spiritual teacher responsibilities. 2012 is here and each of us must focus on living our Purpose. Here’s my Life Purpose from my scientific hand analysis trainings with Baeth Davis:
Innovative Artist in the Spotlight Creating Community with Heart.

So we’re creating the Spiritual Exploration Community within the Church of A New Alliance. Please become a Friend of the Church and join us. More details later but you can see more about the fire here: ChurchofANewAlliance.org And if you’re moved to help out in monetary ways, there is a DONATE button there.

2012 is about the evolution of human consciousness. I hope your lessons are coming a bit more gently than ours but however you are being given the opportunities for growth, grab them! We’re all in this together and we’re all moving forward! Ready or not, here come the lessons!

The Cancer New Moon, where the Sun and Moon meet on July 19th at 12:25 am Eastern Daylight Time, brings you the opportunity to reach for new ways of being in the world, new levels of consciousness. Here is what The Mountain Astrologer magazine says about it, and this needs no additional commentary from me:

The Sabian symbol for this New Moon at 27° Cancer illustrates that large-scale natural forces are at work: “A violent storm in a canyon filled with expensive homes; a confrontation with a social upheaval demanding the reconsideration of static values.” This New Moon calls forth the sacred masculine and spiritual warrior in each of us, and reminds us: “When people decide they want to be free, there is nothing that can stop them.” (Archbishop Desmond Tutu)

BOOK LIGHTS: from “Peace and Plenty: Finding Your Path to Financial Serenity” by Sarah Ban Breathnach

Misery is, by her own nature, a passing phase of sorrow, one that does not linger uninvited. Her sojourns seem to be part of life’s required curriculum, perhaps because Misery endows us with compassion and empathy. A time will come when – because we know how much it hurts – we will be able to help another.

Sarah Ban Breathnach

We are blessed that we have learned a way to help others. May every circumstance in your life be healed with the end result being your leap in consciousness and your ability to help another with compassion and empathy.

MUSE-INGS: Healing vs. Curing, an Interesting Concept

Many years ago I shared a weekend retreat with Dr. Bernie Siegel, a cancer surgeon who has pioneered the understanding of the mind/body connection in medicine. It was a very special weekend with a small group of us experiencing amazing personal growth in a loving environment. Bernie Siegel introduced me to the idea that healing a life is more important than curing a disease. He spoke of cancer patients who held the space for broken families to come together and heal their wounds around the person who was sick. After the healing, the person might or might not be cured of their disease. Sometimes it was a couple who had grown angry with each other who found healing when they focused their attention on working together to combat the illness, drawing them into a shared battle that resulted in a new closeness. Sometimes it was siblings who were divided over their parents’ estates and money who found that the sibling love-bond was more important when one of them faced a life-threatening illness.

Bernie had us draw pictures and then helped us to interpret them. He said that, before he did cancer surgery or put a patient into treatment, he would have them draw a picture. If the picture showed a lot of anger or fear, he chose to postpone the surgery until the person worked through that to become accepting of the treatment. He told the story of a patient who was a Quaker who struggled with all the war-talk about treating his cancer: killing cancer cells, the war on cancer, etc. Bernie invited him to re-imagine the chemo treatment in a way that was comfortable to him. The patient drew a picture of helpers gently carrying away the cancer cells and leaving his healthy cells behind. The chemo was very successful after that.

Our minds have the power to change our lives. The man above still had a disease to deal with, but his perspective shifted away from the battle for the cure and onto the path for the healing. The chemo and treatment stayed the same. All that shifted was how he viewed this and how his doctor talked with him about it. Mind talk and outer language.

When I learned the power of mind talk and outer language I became an avid student of Neuro-Linguistic Programming [NLP] and Hypnosis. How powerful these tools are in helping people!

And so, as you might know, we recently faced the possibility of losing our house in Colorado Springs to the Waldo Canyon Wildfire. The fire raged and then swept over a ridge toward our house. The entire area had been evacuated in anticipation of the danger but we were already staying with our daughter 2000 miles away, awaiting the sale of that same house. We watched in horror as we saw flames engulfing the hill upon which our house stood, not knowing what would be the outcome.

Many people supported us with their good thoughts and prayers. Some said, ‘We pray that your house is still standing after this.’ But we were praying for something different. We prayed that whatever happened would be in our highest good. We knew that, whether the house stood or did not withstand the flames, there is a plan and the plan is working out as it should. We knew, too, that we would learn and grow from whatever that experience proved to be.

I won’t lie and say that this has not been an emotional time, but, in the midst of the distress, we let go of the personal items that were in the house, possibly burned. We let go of our attachment to that beautiful house and accepted its fate, whatever that was. Most of our distress was in the ‘not knowing’ and in the worry over the other residents and the firefighters who were valiantly attempting to save our house and others.

The house is fine. It stands intact. Our friend was able to inspect it for us and to report that it is ‘as if nothing happened.’ Our entire block is still standing, with the loss of 1 deck the only damage that we know of on the block. Others very nearby were not so fortunate.

We are now planning to rent our furnished house to neighbors who need to rebuild after their house was destroyed by the fire. It is an amazing consciousness to realize that perhaps our house had not sold yet so that it could be standing and available as housing for others. No one was hurt in it or saving it from the flames.

If we had prayed for the house to withstand the fire, we would have been praying for the cure. Instead, we focused on accepting whatever the outcome might be, so that we might grow through the experience. We prayed for healing.

We have grown. And we now have the opportunity to use the house that still stands to assist another family through their healing.

Which will you seek in the situations of your life? Healing or Curing the Disease?

MYSTIC MESSAGE from The Divine Feminine: Healing in Higher Consciousness

Dear Ones,

Healing arrives in many forms beyond that of the curing of a disease. Healing appears when one has experienced the level of personal growth that allows a new perspective to be placed upon a situation that was distressful in the earlier consciousness. Healing occurs in relationships when a party can see the relationship in a new light and understand a deeper meaning than the obvious circumstances present.

Healing takes on many shapes throughout a person’s life and, often, it is healing that is needed when the person is seeking a cure.

Have you ever had a situation in your life where all you wanted was to find ‘the fix,’ the one thing that would make everything else all right? Have you ever sought ‘the key,’ the one thing that you needed to turn in the lock and unlock the solution so that everything would be all right? Have you ever sought ‘the one,’ the one person who would love you just as you are and who would make everything all right?

That is like seeking a cure without looking for the healing that might be available.

Healing your life is more important than curing particular situations or circumstances. Loving yourself is the key to finding love with another person. Being on a path of personal growth opens you up to opportunities that you might not have seen because you were looking for something on a different path that did not offer you as much growth. Raising the level of your consciousness is more important than fixing your circumstances.

Seek higher consciousness FIRST. Open yourself to new ways of thinking, believing, seeing before you spend your energy on trying to create solutions to the problems you see. Maybe the problem is with your seeing, not with the circumstance!

The first question to ask yourself is, What is the message in these circumstances? And then, What am I to learn here?

When you start your inquiry with these questions you will move your consciousness into an expanded awareness that brings in all the new information that you need to see things differently. If you start with the seeking of solutions you might narrow your focus so far that you cannot see the opportunities before you. If you throw up your hands because you do not see how to ‘fix’ the problem then you will stop exploring before you experience the personal growth available to you in the circumstance.

Life is a continual exploration of how you can expand your awareness, your understanding, your consciousness. Personal growth isn’t an exercise in finding ‘fixes’ – rather, it is an exploration of how you might expand your consciousness to reach higher and higher levels of awareness.

What you will find is that the opportunities available to you at ever higher levels of consciousness are much more attractive than the circumstances you were trying to ‘fix’ at the lower levels of awareness.

Truly, growing in consciousness can be its own reward! This is where the healing lives.

And so it is.

WHERE’S ROSEMARY

Fire, wind, record heat and a wedding. It  has been a chaotic time for us over the past two weeks! I regularly write and speak about change and chaos in my Ezine and video blog, The Daily Muse. But, you know, it’s not the events themselves that are all that important; it’s how we react to them that helps us move into new space, new understanding and new directions.

One of my new directions may be toward Colorado rather than Dallas as I had planned this week. We may have to get to our house in Colorado Springs to pick up any pieces there. But it’s OK; the house is in good shape as far as we can tell. We are blessed with the winds of change blowing through our lives!

***eWomenNetwork: 12th Annual International Conference and Business Expo***

***Waldo Canyon Fire***
Current Status: Our house is fine! Somehow it escaped the fire. Our entire block of homes inside the community of Longview at Mountain Shadows survived. A house across the street and four doors down was destroyed; the houses on either side of it damaged. A house on a court off our street was destroyed. Four houses in a row, behind us, destroyed!

And now we wait. The community  mandatory evacuation has been lifted and the fire is 100% contained. We now need to learn when we’ll have the gas turned on again so we can visit the house and determine what we need to do next!

Meanwhile we are establishing a “fire recovery fund” through our non-profit church organization. This will be used to help us finalize our move of the organization to Maryland, help make room for a family to rent from us in Colorado while their home is restored and to especially help the firefighters and first-responders who did so much to save our home and the many surrounding it!

Prayers for all of those who have been displaced, their homes destroyed, are always welcome!

Please contribute to our Waldo Canyon Fire Recovery Fund

NEWS FROM ROSEMARY

Happy News! Our house in Colorado has withstood the Waldo Canyon Fire with no apparent damage! Thank you for your support and prayers as we watched from afar during the fire.

Not all our neighbors were as fortunate although our entire block is intact with only one house losing a deck but otherwise okay. We are truly blessed. Prayers and positive energy of protection DO make a difference! And so we are able to offer our house to another family to rent while theirs is being rebuilt. We are taking it off the market to provide a home to someone in need. It is a healing time for all of us.

Our great thanks go to the firefighters who worked so valiantly to save our house and most of the others. At the Severna Park, Maryland Independence Day Parade I thanked the local firefighters riding on their trucks and got teary with my feelings of gratitude for those in Colorado who saved our house. Please thank a firefighter today for being willing to help you, even though I pray you never have to ask them to save your house from flames.

In gratitude for our good fortune, we are moving our spiritual study center activities to this DC area and to the internet. We are restarting the Spiritual Exploration Group that we had enjoyed for several years in Colorado and will be meeting in person in Annapolis and online periodically by videoconference or phone. In these meetings we have ‘Discussion, not Dogma’ and enjoy lively discussions of various topics where we are all explorers and no one tries to force another to change beliefs. These are enlightening and fun experiences! We will also be re-starting celebrations around special days on the calendar and will be offering these via videoconference as well.

To help us move these activities to their online location and to move our Church of A New Alliance operations to the east coast, we are asking for tax-deductible donations to the Church of A New Alliance. Please join us in expanding our efforts to help others in their journey to higher consciousness. We will also be donating a portion of the funds raised for the Church to help the firefighters in the Waldo Canyon Fire. We have learned that some of them do not have health insurance for themselves and their families and we wish to assist with providing care for them.

In addition, the house in Colorado Springs becomes the home for someone directly affected by the fire. We will be moving some of our personal belongings from the house but are able to offer it furnished to a family that has lost ALL of their belongings. The Universe has a plan. It is always working out.

If you haven’t read last week’s ezine and blog posts, please check them out atWisdomConnections.net to learn more.

May you never have a week like ours! [I haven’t even mentioned the severe thunderstorms here in the East that knocked out power for almost 4 days so we were evacuated here, too!] But whatever the trials in your life might be, may you have the ability to find a higher perspective and seek the healing vs. the cure!

In gratitude and love!

INDEPENDENCE AND UNITY

Our blog today is running a bit late. Rosemary and I just got back from the Severna Park, Maryland Independence Day parade. And, here I am, the guest blogger again today!

The Severna Park parade has been a family tradition for years. Before we moved to Colorado in 2000 we lived in Severna Park, our kids attended school there, and we always attended the parade, usually from Uncle John’s front yard because he lived directly on the parade route a couple of streets down from our street. We were there again this year with Rosemary’s sisters and the extended family. Things haven’t changed much in the past 20 years and neither has the parade.

This year we wanted to attend to personally thank all of the firefighters! The trucks and rescue vehicles, pumpers and hook-n-ladders are a fixture for the parade and come from all of the surrounding communities. We waved and cheered and said our heart-felt thank yous to all of them for the work that they do. It was men and women like these folks who helped save our home in Colorado Springs just over a week ago! We both felt that thrill as the trucks passed by, the firefighters waving and wishing us a happy and safe 4th; we in turn waving and blessing them in their work and saying that special extra “thanks” this year. We both got teary-eyed considering the heroic job these people do; somehow it was just so personal this year!

Our son-in-law was a volunteer firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician in Colorado when they lived there in Boulder County. We know first-hand how close this group of extraordinary people is. So, we also know that thanking the firefighters of the Severna Park area is one way to thank all of the firefighters across this land. There is a unity in this profession! They are united in common cause, saving lives and property from the destructive force of fire.

And we know how close the fire came to our house and how it was fought in our back yard. Our neighbor reported that his watering hose and my hose were both used to put out a burning bed of wood chips between our houses! It doesn’t get closer and more personal than that!

For us this seems to be a very special day to celebrate our Independence. Our community is free of the tyranny of the Waldo Canyon Wildfire. Yes, there was substantial damage. It will be years before the area fully recovers. Already our neighbors who have lost everything are asking if our house might be available for rent while they rebuild.  We are looking at all of the ways we can help, even while we are still under a mandatory evacuation that may be in place for weeks to come. So, while we celebrate our independence we are also feeling an extraordinary unity; a unity not unlike that bond among firefighters and other first responders. Our community is uniting like never before in the common cause of recovery, reconstruction and renewal!

It is in this sense of community, of unity, that Rosemary and I are establishing a fire recovery fund through our church organization in Colorado, the Church of A New Alliance. We will be launching a site soon for anyone interested in helping out in the recovery process, of joining in unity with firefighters and a community forever affected by this fire.

Please stay tuned to this blog and all of the other means through which Rosemary, The Scientific Mystic, touches you. We would love for you to join us, in unity!

FIRE IN COLORADO, WINDS IN MARYLAND: WE ARE “DOUBLE REFUGEES”

Hello from Richard, Rosemary’s husband. Most of you know that Rosemary and I are business partners; I do much of the “back office” work while Rosemary is the voice of our company “A New Alliance for Change.” Occasionally, in the time of crisis and chaos, the “back office” needs to speak too. Here is my update and perspective on the fires and winds of change:

Rosemary wrote eloquently of the Waldo Canyon Wildfire in Colorado Springs, which destroyed nearly 350 homes in the neighborhood of our house there in the community called Mountain Shadows, in her Friday post here on this blog. Today here is my update on that disaster: while many of our neighbors are now homeless, our next door neighbor and a good friend went into our house Sunday and found everything in good order. Even the odor was more of staleness than smoke! While we were away from that home, residing temporarily in Maryland with our daughter, our neighbors lost their homes and our neighborhood was damaged beyond recognition. The mountainside views turned from their light green of mid-summer to a dead and blackened shadow of themselves – now truly Mountain Shadows!

The community remains evacuated for at least several more days if not weeks as it is made safe for residents who still have homes to return. When allowed we will return to help neighbors pick up the pieces, and see if we can offer our home to others while we continue our slow migration eastward. The 350 homeless families will need much support over the coming months!

Meanwhile back in Maryland and our first temporary home an unusual storm struck Friday night, a storm called a derecho. It is a fast moving type of thunderstorm with extraordinarily strong winds; it knocked out power in the DC/Maryland area for 1.2 million customers. Across Annapolis thousands of homes and businesses were affected. Our daughter’s home, and our home away from our Colorado home remains without power as I write this on Monday. Since our business depends on all the latest in network and communications technology we are severely disabled when the power goes out!  Fortunately our friend on the other side of town continued to have electricity. She invited us to stay with her and I write at this moment from her deck. We have found our second refuge from the fires and winds of our lives!

We are truly blessed. And I don’t mean to imply we are in any way real refugees who are truly suffering across this world from human exploitation, natural disasters, global warming, war, hatred, and that completely unnatural notion of our separation from nature and one another. Yes, we are dealing with some chaos, uncertainty, upheaval and displacement. These are relative irritants. We will certainly come out OK. And as Rosemary’s parents taught her and she taught me: “Everything always works out for the best.” Often it takes time and patience to realize what that “best” is; but faith is knowing it’s coming!

I am reminded of a Zen story of a farmer-monk who awoke to his barn filled with the fall harvest burning to the ground. After a single cry of anguish and then a breath he responded: “Now I’ll have a much better view of the moon.”
