MUSE-INGS: Make It So

How compelling is the vision that you have for your Life? DO you have a vision?

This was brought home to me by a good friend who asked me about my vision. I had some ideas but I hadn’t fully fleshed out the vision. As she asked me more details I started to get excited. I knew the details! I could see the colors, hear the sounds, feel the breeze and the temperature. I knew exactly how it would feel to be in that scenario. I could see other parts of that life, too. Active parts and relaxing parts.

And it felt really good!

Then, when I went back to writing some marketing copy, something I’m not particularly fond of doing, I had a renewed interest and excitement because it wasn’t about having to do the chore of writing the copy – it was about supporting that Life that I had visited in my vision. THAT’S a motivator!

And so I invite you to create a compelling vision for your Life, one that draws you forward toward it. If you find yourself talking about what you don’t want in that Life, that’s okay but move your language to the other side of that coin and talk about what you DO want. Sometimes we get information from the identification of what we don’t want but if we dwell on that we energize the very thing we don’t want instead of what we do want. So keep your thoughts focused on what you DO want in your vision.

Create a movie in your mind. You’re the director and the star and the screenwriter. You have full creative control over this project. What does the house look like? What is the setting? Lighting? Temperature? Location? Who is starring in the cast besides you – anyone? What foods are on the table? What colors are around you? What activities are on the calendar? What car is in the garage?

Keep going. Identify the details. Who are you with? What are you doing? How do you relax? What does your work look like?

Isn’t this fun?

And, since you are the director, you can always call, ‘Cut!’ and start over. You are always in charge of how this movie turns out, and the project doesn’t have to ever become static because there’s always another aspect to play with.

But as you see yourself both directing and starring in this film called, ‘My Life,’ step into your roles, don’t just view them from afar.

Your unconscious mind cannot distinguish between the images that are happening in the 3-dimensional world we refer to as ‘reality’ and the reality of your visions. Step into that vision and live it. Your unconscious mind will take this as instructions to ‘Make it so,’ quoting my favorite Starship Captain Jean Luc Picard.

But notice the power of your unconscious mind. It will take any command from what you think about and envision and it will assume you are saying, ‘Make it so.’ THIS is why it is so important that you create the vision of what you want and energize that! If you ask your unconscious mind to create what you don’t want, it will do so.

So it is important that you become aware of your thoughts, your words. Make sure you hold the vision in your consciousness so that you are always moving in that direction, not as if it is in the future but aligning yourself with that vision in the present. Keep yourself focused on the manifestation of your vision IN THE NOW.

It might seem like a miracle but it starts to manifest and you are suddenly realizing that you are in it!

Cool stuff, right?

MYSTIC MESSAGE from The Divine Feminine: LOVE Your Vision into Life!

Dear Ones,

Life is not only what you make it. Life is what you PLAN to make it.

People often repeat the quote, ‘Life is what you make it,’ implying that you can create your life. But then the language they use implies their victimhood at the hands of Fate. ‘What could I do?’ with shrugged shoulders and upraised hands – the message being sent that there was nothing they could do, they had no power.

Or people talk about all the things that could go wrong in the future, conjuring up visions of great disasters, or expecting behavior from others that stymies their plans. How many times have you heard someone excited about an outdoor activity and then say, ‘But it will probably rain’?

These are not the actions of someone who truly believes that ‘Life is what you make it.’ When you speak and envision what you do not want you energize that. When you speak and envision what you DO want, you energize THAT. Life really IS what you make it. And Life is what you PLAN to make it through your thoughts, words, visions.

Now check in on your language, your thoughts, the pictures that you create and carry around in your head. Are you planning the Life you really want? Or did you just complain to someone about something you don’t want in your life?

Start this today by creating the vision of what you want your Life to look like. Add how it feels, the people who surround you, the activities you engage in, the food you eat, the clothes you wear, the car you drive, what you do for fun, what you do for personal growth and spiritual renewal – Everything!

When you have a vision that carries with it a positive emotional charge and fires you up, then you have the measuring stick to use to gauge your language and your thoughts every day. Check that sentence that you just uttered – is it consistent with the vision you created? What did you just think about how things are today? If it does not bring support for your vision then cancel that thought!

All the energies of your Life must align in the direction of the vision you have created for yourself. If you struggle in some area of your Life, then examine the struggle for the lesson that will bring your vision into manifestation. Where is the lesson in this? Each lesson brings you, as its reward, a little closer to living your vision. When you are considering a couple of different options or choices, ask yourself which path is consistent with your vision and then choose that one.

This pattern becomes your strategy for Living Your Richest Life. You become conscious of every single step you are taking and you allow this conscious awareness to shape into existence your own vision for your Life.

Living a Conscious Life means consciously creating that Life. Go ahead and create the vision today. You can capture it in a vision board, a journal, or just in your head, but make sure you can feel it in your heart.

Then LOVE that vision into existence in your Life by feeding it energy from the thoughts and actions and words that make it manifest.

Love your vision into Life!

And so it is.

MUSE-INGS: Share the Vision

What is your typical response when you feel fearful? Do you hide? Do you lash out? Do you run? Do you analyze? There are many ways to respond to fear but most of us stay in the fear and then choose an action.

What if you feel the fear but dialogue with it? Use the fear as a signal instead of trying to ignore it or trying to run from it or attacking it. Our emotions are powerful pockets of energy in us. Because we’re human we have the capacity for great depths of emotion and, we hope, the wisdom to express those emotions appropriately.

Now what if we channeled all the energy of our emotions into the creating of our reality?

The truth is that we are doing this all the time, whether consciously or unconsciously. What we attach our thoughts to following the feeling of our emotions is energized by the energy of those emotions. It’s like hooking up a huge battery to something and letting the energy of the battery activate whatever is hooked up to it. Wouldn’t you like to energize something you actually want to attract into your life rather than attaching that fully charged battery of energy to something that you don’t want?

Fear causes us to focus on what we are afraid of, what we are afraid will happened but don’t really want to have in our life. And the energy of fear can be a powerful battery to charge up the vision of what we don’t want to have. [Did you know that you cannot have fear of something without creating a mind picture of just what you don’t want? Your unconscious mind can’t make sense of a thought about what you fear unless it creates this mind picture of what you are fearing. That alone energizes what you don’t want in your life!]

Now imagine hooking up a positive vision for your personal future to a huge battery fueled by the emotion of joy. Can’t feel the joy yet? Then ramp it up by thinking of something that, in the past, made you feel great joy. Amp it up within yourself. Add all the senses to this exercise. What did you smell? What could you taste? Hear? See? How did it feel? Keep cycling through the senses as you increase the joy. You are charging a battery with some good ‘juice’!

Then switch what you are picturing to a picture of that positive vision that you created. Pour all that Joy Energy into the picture of that vision. Use all your senses to feel, see, hear, taste, smell that vision. How will it be when that has already come into being? Stay with it. Imbue that vision with joy. This really energizes and magnetizes that vision for you.

When you take that vision to others and share it, they, too, can share in the joy and can add their battery to yours to give even more energy to that possibility. This is how a positive vision for the future can imbue humanity with hope. Lots of people getting together to energize a shared vision of a positive future can make things happen.

Start using this technique in your daily life and see if your outlook doesn’t improve. Create your positive vision and share it. Help others energize their positive visions. Spread the joy!

And help humanity have hope because one person shared a positive vision of the future.

MUSE-INGS: Focus on the Joy!

How easy it is to focus our attention on the things that need to be fixed or on the painful things that we wish were different!  We can get so caught up in wishing something would change that we forget how powerful we are to change how we think about a situation.

My wonderful Mom, Gloria Robertson, always saw silver linings.  One of her favorite sayings was, ‘Everything always works out for the best.’  And the other thing she said often was,

‘As a rule, Man’s a fool,
When it’s hot he wants it cool.
When it’s cool he wants it hot,
Always wishing what is not.’

My Mom was a very wise woman.  We spend so much time wishing things were different when really the only thing we need to change is how we think about things.  I remember my Mom, towards the end of her life, deciding that she would only worry about those things that it was in her power to make different.  She had an appointment with her doctor who asked her what had changed because her health had improved.  She said, ‘I’ve adopted a new attitude – NMP.’  When he asked what ‘NMP’ stood for, she answered, ‘Not My Problem.’

It is very freeing to look around and decide what is ours to work on and what is beyond our control or what belongs to someone else to handle.  And it is very empowering to take charge of those things that ARE our own to deal with.  Not everything around us requires that we take charge of it.  Not everything is ours to handle or to fix.  Sometimes another person needs to learn to help himself or herself.  Sometimes someone else needs to learn a lesson by handling something their own way.  Sometimes ‘good enough’ is okay – it doesn’t always have to be perfect.  Sometimes another person just wants to be left alone and it needs to be okay with us to allow that.  And sometimes another person needs company and we need to be beyond ourselves enough to see that and to offer the company without judgment.

Look around you today and see if there isn’t some joy to be found in every conscious moment.  What can you do to make yourself smile?  Is there someone you can help?  Is there some situation that you can laugh at?  Can you laugh at yourself or do you always take yourself terribly seriously?  Is there an animal to watch?  A flower to notice?  Music to enjoy?  What can you feel gratitude about in this moment now?

Adopting the attitude that there is always some joy to be found will bring happiness into your life.  And if you are truly struggling to find something about which to feel good, then get out your sense of humor and remember a time when you laughed and laughed at something you thought was hilariously funny.  All you need to do is remember and you will be smiling again.

Keep a stock of funny movies or joke books or funny emails that you’ve received and get them out when you truly cannot find anything to give you joy.  One joke, one laugh, is all it takes to shift your energy.  One look out the window and you will find something to delight in, no matter how small it might seem.  Remember, that if you spend all of your energy thinking about what you don’t want, the Universe won’t know what to bring you from the list of what you DO want.  Energize the aspects of this moment that you want to magnify in your life.  Experience delight and you will have more delight.  Focus on joy and you will have more joy in your life.  That’s how things work!
