What’s Your MESSAGE? – Richard’s Commentary

One of the catch phrases we heard at the Suzanne Evans’ Be the Change Event a couple of weeks ago is “turn your mess into your message.” This can be an interesting approach to answering Rosemary’s question! What does this mean?

If we examine our lives we will no doubt find some “messiness” under the surface. We all live with stuff. These messes, this stuff, is what Rosemary and I have called “lessons” over the many years of writing these articles, and publishing Rosemary’s Ezine. In fact we are here on the planet to learn lessons, right?

So, as we learn these lessons maybe it’s important, even part of our purpose, even our whole purpose, to share what we learn from our lessons – our messes! Our mess can become our message. This is story telling with a purpose.

But this advice needs to come with a warning: “Be sure your mess is cleared up, and be sure you have learned this lesson well, before you share the message you have gained”!

There’s a corollary to this approach to finding your message: we often learn what we are to teach; and the best form is mastery is to teach what we are working to master.

When Jeff Primack certified me to teach Qigong, his advice was to go out and teach the forms as soon as possible. “The only way to master the forms is to teach them.” Now, I was still shaking from the experience of being watched, judged and corrected as I “taught” the form to my little training group. Picturing myself teaching a group of strangers, even friends, was not a scene I was ready for! But I was soon offered the opportunity to lead a group and I have been teaching regularly for over a year now. Have I mastered the forms? No. But I am moving in that direction! I turned my messy form into my message.

Rosemary’s questions are the place to start to find your message:

Sit with yourself for a few minutes and ask yourself these two questions:

1) What is MY MESSAGE to the world? And, then,

2) Am I living MY MESSAGE in my daily life?

Or backing up a short step you could ask: What is the MESS that I have worked through in my life that would be helpful to share with the world as my MESSAGE. But only share that message if you are living that MESSAGE in your daily life!

The real trick is in the answer to that second question; you must be living that message to be effective in sharing it. In my case I practice Qigong almost every day. I am currently teaching three classes a week, attending a fourth and practicing in between. I am “living Qigong.” And Qigong is only part of my message!

So, look at your messes – the ones you have worked through, learned, even mastered – and ask if the world will be a better place if you share that mastery. Your message is there!

ROSEMARY’S INSPIRATION: What’s Your Message?

My “Two-Minute” Video for this Week: What’s Your Message?

ROSEMARY’S NEWS

ngc-2841Hello from a warm Maryland! It will be in the 80s today! We’re enjoying the flowering plants and trees and listening to the birdsong floating in the windows on the Spring breezes. What a beautiful time of year! Of course, also floating on those breezes are pollen particles that wreak havoc on noses and sinuses. Lots of folks struggling with allergies, sadly. Hope you’re not one of those.

We celebrated Mother’s Day in the US this yesterday. I remember my Mom and wish she were still with us but I also celebrate being a Mom with wonderful children and grandchildren (and another on the way this year! Woo Hoo!). And I live in gratitude for the opportunities I have had to be a ‘spiritual Mom’ to those who are not my biological children but who are close enough that that doesn’t matter. In these times we must find our spiritual family and participate as if they are our biological relatives. Spiritual DNA is powerful!

The Full Moon is on WednesdayMay 14 at 3:16 pm Eastern Daylight Time. This is a time of letting go. Give your troubles, worries, anxieties over to the Full Moon and they will diminish as the light of the Moon diminishes in the sky. Finish that Spring Cleaning that you started. Clear out the clutter from your closets as well as the corners of your mind. What beliefs are holding you back? What negative thinking tells you that you are anything less that wonderful? Let that go!!!

I am offering a special Spring Clearing Session through May to help you clear that block or get the perspective you are seeking. Send me an email and, for the special investment of only $150 for the session we’ll get you started on that clearing process. Decide that now is the time that you are ready to release what has been holding you in that stuck position. rosemary@thescientificmystic.com

Look for some information coming out soon about the Possibilities Playshop on June 14th and theSpiritual Science 101 program with introductory level classes to subjects like Feng Shui, Dream Interpretation,Meditation and a lot more. These are fun programs that you can join in person in Maryland AND online! More in a few days on this.

Do you work with crystals? I’m being guided to suggest that you take that Spring Clearing to your crystals, too, and get them washed, cleared and moved around. You can always put them outside under the light of the Full Moon to get a charge on them. I put new crystals (new jewelry, too) inside an amethyst geode to charge them when I bring them home. Activate your crystals during this Spring Clearing time!

Have a wonder-filled week! Share your message with the world. And, most importantly, LIVE your message!

MUSE-INGS: Big Bands and the Evolution of Consciousness

Do you remember when you were a teenager and your parents complained about your music? I do!

My Dad played in a big band and I grew up listening to Glenn Miller and Tommy Dorsey. Then came folk music – Peter, Paul & Mary and The Kingston Trio. The Beatles and the British Invasion arrived next. The progression goes on. But my parents remembered when THEIR parents objected to the music they enjoyed in the 40s & 50s. I’m sure their parents shocked my great-grandparents with the Roaring Twenties music!

How easy it is to dismiss what is new. How easy it can be to dismiss the messenger who brings in the new. And, yet, isn’t each messenger wanting to be heard?

What is the new message coming to you? It might not even be from young people but the source might be your intuition, your own personal guidance system. Are you listening?

It’s easy to look outside ourselves and consider the source of information so that we can justify dismissing it. Sometimes it is more difficult to look inside to find and listen to the guidance that we find there. Do you honor your own inner guidance?

Maybe the way to start honoring intuition it to start listening to the messages from the young people. They might actually be more tuned in than we, the ‘old folks,’ are!

Now I’m not advocating having to listen to the music of the next couple of generations if you don’t like it, but really listen to that younger person’s view of the world.

When our daughter was starting in school she told a story about a little girl in her class and I tried to get her to describe the girl to me, although I knew it was an African-American girl in a mostly white student classroom. Mindy said, ‘You know her, Mommy, she’s the one with the braids!’ It never occurred to her to differentiate the little girl from herself by the difference in the color of skin. I was excited that, in the new generation, the person was not identified by race. What a change from my parents’ generation, with separate water fountains and different parts of the bus! The children were teaching us to let go of old notions of differences.

What can you learn today from the young people around you? Enjoy the exploration! Have a conversation with a young person where you really listen to them. Ask questions and honor them when they open up. They’re really pretty cool. [But don’t say that because that’s an old person’s term!]

Be willing to explore new ideas even if they come from someone younger. We oldsters know a lot, and the world can learn from our wisdom, but sometimes we see through fixed bifocals, with only our own perspective, not seeing all the possibilities that are present.

Be willing to evolve your own thoughts by considering new ideas before you dismiss them. Old and young alike are being called to help all of humanity to evolve. Don’t be the one who holds back human evolution. Contribute, by opening yourself to the possibility of changing how you think.

Your creative juices can flow when you consider ideas, but if you lock yourself behind the doors of your fixed opinions, you get stuck.

Stay in the flow. Be a part of the Consciousness Evolution!
