MUSE-INGS: Live a Heart-Centered Life!

Living a Heart-Centered Life is not for the so-called ‘faint of heart’!  It takes a great deal of strength to listen to your heart and to act upon what you hear.  It takes an empowered individual to acknowledge the vision within and to live from that place rather than the place of expediency or what pleases outer values.

Empowered people know that power from within is much stronger than the power that is gained over another.  That is just bullying.  And an empowered individual does not operate just on power, but on a combination of inner power and heart power.  In the 21st Century world each human being is asked to evolve into the new human.  This new way of being present to life on Earth includes opening one’s mind to embrace the feelings that exist in one’s innermost heart.

This is different from what resides in one’s Heart-Mind Center, the new energy center that lies between the Heart and the Throat Centers.  The Heart Center itself contains the feelings that stem from one’s inner spirit wanting to express in the outer world.  This is where the feelings become the messengers of the spirit and each of us must pay attention to the stirrings we feel within us.

When you see injustice in the world, do you feel a stirring within you that calls you to some action against that injustice, even if it is simply to send helping energy to the victim of that injustice?  That feeling comes from a connection to your inner spirit and a sense of what energies are appropriate in the world around you.  When you feel a deep connection with another individual, what some would call a ‘soul connection,’ do you understand that this connection is a part of what being an evolved human being means in the present day?

It is time for all humans to wake up to the deeper meaning of the feelings within them and to eschew the shallow feelings, especially pettiness and small-mindedness, that lead people into decisions that do not advance the growth of human consciousness.  We are not automatons or robots.  We experience deep feelings and we have spirits within us that are here to express through our human lives.  We are all called to greatness that finds its expression through the choices that we make in every moment of our lives.

We can no longer turn a blind eye to what we see around us.  We cannot live as if we do not have these deep feelings in our hearts.  It is time to embrace what it means to be fully human, to have feelings that are spurring us on to express them.  Deep love, deep compassion, deep connection.  Our spirits are longing to express these.  Each of us is calling out to all others to understand that we are all One.  We wither when we do not feel connected to others.  We shrivel up when we feel that we are not loved.  We cannot survive alone if no one around us shows us compassion.

It is time to end all sorts of abuse in this world. It is time to end the senseless killing of animals and humans.  It is time to take care of Nature rather than to destroy it.  It is time to care for all of the children of the world for the future of the planet depends upon them.  It is time for religions and political groups and countries to find a way to live together on this one planet as heart-centered Earthlings instead of separate groups trying to exert power over others.

It is time for individuals to become empowered through embracing the deep feelings of their hearts.

MYSTIC MESSAGE from The Divine Feminine: Feel Your Way to Empowerment

Dear Ones,

Where is your heart today?  Are you following your heart where it wants to lead you?  Or are you following a quest for money, pride, acclaim, power?  We would tell you that your heart is the best navigator for your path in life.

Many will tell you that you must follow your mind/head, not your heart, but your heart is your connection to the greater source of energy in the Universe, not your mind/head.  Now we are not talking here about whims or infatuations or shallow emotions.  But if you really reach deeply into your heart you will start to understand that your innermost feelings are expressions of your innermost spirit in the world.  You will be led to express yourself if you are heart-centered.

Look around you at your life today.  How much of your heart is evident in the life you are living?  Are your goals coming from a place of understanding your role in the greater scheme of life on Earth or are you focusing on little goals of how much money you can make or the next promotion you can gain at work?  Are you surrounded by people who uplift your spirit when you are with them?  Are you living from a place where your heart can guide your daily choices?

The easiest way to access your deep heart feelings is to close your eyes, take a deep breath, and bring all your attention to the area of your heart in the center of your body.  Breathe into this area and allow images to appear in your inner vision.   Don’t judge what you are experiencing, for many of you expect this to be a certain kind of picture or sound or feeling but you must learn to allow the experience to unfold as it wishes to unfold.  Ask this feeling or image to share with you a message that will help to guide you today.  And then listen or look or feel until you understand the message.  It might be as simple as to ‘Feel today whatever you need to feel’ or ‘Look around you for ways that you can help others to feel better about themselves and their lives.’  Just allow the message to appear without judging what comes up.  And if you find there is no apparent message then rest assured that your unconscious mind has accepted what it needs to accept.  When you open your eyes embrace your message and move into the rest of your day.

There are people who have opened their heart to the world, not in a way that makes them vulnerable but in a way that makes them very powerful.  Open hearts allow love energy to flow outward and to magnetize the attraction of love energy to flow inward as well.  One who has mastered a connection to deep heart feelings interacts with other people in a way that is empowering to everyone involved.  Human beings are not meant to live soulless, heartless lives but often the media and popular wisdom indicates that this is not the case.  People in power often seem to have no ability to show compassion because they put some other value above an expression of heart values.  War does not arise from deep heart feelings but from a pursuit of something other than that which stems from the heart.  Abuse happens in society because someone has been cut off from their feelings and they allow themselves to act in inhumane ways.

There is much that we could say about what happens when one does not connect with their deep heart feelings but we would rather you see that all around you – your work or business, your relationships, your life in general – benefits from your deepest connection to your heart.  Reach out to others from a place deep within yourself and your deep connections will support all that you desire in your life.  Reach into yourself, identify your feelings and live them in your outer life and you will experience a richness in your life that will have you wondering why you weren’t doing this all along!

And so it is.

THIS WEEK’S MYSTIC MESSAGE from The Divine Feminine: Choose Light and Love over Darkness!

Dear Ones,

When the world is filled with hatred there can be no peace. As long as there are those who choose to hate a whole class of other people, then there will be wars.

Common wisdom holds that wars are about money, power, land and greed, but we would tell you that these are the reasons that people want to start a war. It is hatred, fueled by propaganda, lies and staged events that allows the war to proceed.

Every war in history was conceived by parties who decided that a war would serve their purposes. They garnered support for their wars by creating enemies and generating the energy of hatred toward those enemies. The IDEA of the war preceded the trigger event that supposedly caused the war.

This is the Law of Attraction at work, but it is attracting darkness, not the Light.

We are sharing this with you today so that you can take conscious control of your thoughts of hatred. What can you do to spread the Light in the world? Do not be fooled by those who claim to be of the Light but who also talk about hatred. There is no God of Hate–the Divine Energy is an energy of Love. Hatred is generated by individuals who have become locked into the level of their personalities and who cannot see that all on Earth are spirits who are learning lessons. Hatred stems from a desire to avoid personal growth, to define a world according to a personal construction of what is ‘right’ with no allowance for other views. The people who hate are engaged in a contracted, regressive life on Earth. They have been so constrained that they have disconnected themselves from the compassion energy that wants to be expressed through them. The fact that there are so many people in these times who choose to hate rather than to love is very disturbing, for humankind throughout history has been seeking to expand in consciousness and Love is expansive energy. When so many people choose to contract in the energy of hatred then the people are inviting humanity to enter into another Dark Age.

The scales are getting ready to tip. Those who come from a place of Light, Love and Compassion can counteract the darkness that emanates from those who choose to hate. However, apathy is the antithesis of Light, for if people do not champion others, do not lift high the standard of the Light Bearers and work to counteract darkness, then the Dark Age can become a reality.

How do you sow Love and Light in your own little sphere of influence? Are you willing to work to counteract hatred or do you stay silent? Have you chosen to take action to increase the Light in the world or have you chosen to remain complacent? Remember that apathy on your part allows those who would sow hatred, separation and fear to increase their influence. Make sure that you are spreading Light in the world. Take control of your thoughts and increase the Light content of your thoughts, i.e., make them expansive thoughts of Love, Acceptance and Trust. Let Light shine from your heart through your eyes when you look at others. Even those who spread the darkness of hatred have some part within them, no matter how hidden, that is yearning for the Light, yearning for expansion, yearning to be Loved. You do not need to love the hatred but find love for the seed of Light that is within the person who hates. The spark of Divinity resides in every human being but many choose to starve that spark until it can no longer ignite. Moving from being a person with great capacity for Love to the choice of becoming one who hates is a sad choice but one which many make because they have been misled.

Have compassion for them as human beings but do not allow their darkness to spread until it overtakes the Light.

And so it is.

MUSE-INGS: Be the Example of Good Conversation Skills

Conversations.  Dialogue.  Words to consider.  Sometimes a topic or an issue can be such a polarizing subject that people shy away from having a discussion.  Perhaps it is time for reviving the practice of dialogue, where we learn to discuss a topic even while disagreeing.

It used to be that civility required that one not attack a person for the ideas that they held.  Ideas could be discussed, even debated, without the debate becoming a personal attack.  Some people are forgetting that.  In drawing rooms of old people sought out others to listen to the information being discussed and to proffer opinions but to genuinely listen with openness to what was being offered by others.  We don’t seem to be teaching the children of today about this art of conversation.

On television, they see a point/counterpoint discussion of people yelling at each other and interrupting.  School debate teams might be more civilized but they imply that there are only two sides to each issue.  What about the gray areas?  What about a third perspective or the middle ground?  Why must every discussion become a debate in the form of right/wrong and ‘I’m right and you’re wrong’?  How will our children grow up to be good conversationalists and to learn to really listen to what others are saying when they aren’t seeing it modeled in the society around them?

Too many families are too busy to have dinner around the table so that the art of conversation can be practiced.  It is as small children sitting with the family that people learn to model conversations.  Learning to wait one’s turn before speaking, to really listen to another rather than be thinking of the next thing to say are qualities that one must be taught, preferably by example.  Talking about an idea, a topic of interest, and learning how to respect another’s opinion even when it differs from one’s own, are important skills to learn as a young person.

Several years ago I was picking up my grandchildren from their elementary school and was shocked to hear the tone of voice being used to address teachers as well as other students.  The tone did not convey respect and I heard it over and over again.  Parents have a difficult time training their children to show respect in their speech when for many hours a day a different attitude becomes the norm.  But it is worth the effort for parents to teach their children how to listen and how to speak to be heard.

Every discussion in which one participates requires that one consider the feelings of the other person with respect.  Whether that other person is a dear friend, a family member or a stranger in a store makes no difference. They deserve respect and honor.  And so do you.  Don’t let others talk to you with a lack of respect.  Your ideas are worthy of discussion and you deserve to be listened to.  The best way to receive this kind of treatment is to model it.  Pay attention to the energy in your conversations and notice how you feel when you are talking with others.  Do some make you feel comfortable and heard?  Or do they make you feel small, dismissed, or ignorant?  Consider this when you decide where to spend your time.  Actively seek out those who help you to expand your horizons while respecting you and your ideas.  Be the person in the conversation who is always elevating it to the plane of higher consciousness.  You will feel good and others will, too!

MUSE-INGS: Conscious Listening

Music.  Interesting topic for the Mystic Message.  I must admit that I was wondering where that message would go with respect to what the kids listen to.  I guess my prejudices were popping up.

But how wonderful to use music as a springboard to discussion and sharing with others in our life!  All of Life is about energy and vibration.  The foods we eat, the colors we wear, whether we are feeling ‘up’ or ‘down’ are all relating to our energy fields and the vibrations in them.  Quantum Physics is telling us a lot about our environments from a vibrational standpoint.  I was a Chemistry major for a bit in college [couldn’t stand Chem Lab so ended up in Math – no labs!] and I studied the ‘new’ information available about atoms and particles like protons and electrons.  The information that has since been discovered [it’s been a lot of years!] gives us a much greater understanding of energy and the properties of atoms, including the particles smaller than protons and electrons.  And Quantum Physics tells us a lot about the effect of the vibration of our thoughts on the rest of the Universe around us.

When we start to understand energy, and one doesn’t need to be an expert in Quantum Physics to do so, we begin to see what effects different vibrations can have on the people and the spaces around us.  Have you ever walked into a room and felt the vibration of anger even though the occupants turn to you with smiles on their faces?  Can’t you feel that they were just fighting but have put on a face for you that doesn’t match their internal vibrational energy?  Now think about music and how you feel in a room that has had lovely high-vibrational music playing in it for awhile, classical or relaxing jazz or calming new age music.  How does it feel to walk into that room?  Have you ever walked into a bar with loud music that does not appeal to you playing over big speakers, with the occupants shouting to be heard over the music, bouncing off hard surfaces?  Doesn’t that feel a bit jarring?  Contrast that with the quiet music of calming vibrations in a fabric-filled room in a restaurant designed to encourage you to relax and dine at a leisurely pace – how does that feel?

At our house, we often leave relaxing music playing when we go out so that the energy will feel calm when we return.  This also helps the pets left in the house to relax while we are gone.  Sometimes when I have cleaning to do or organizing or some activity that requires me to be upbeat and energetic I’ll put on Golden Oldies that I used to dance to [many years ago when they weren’t Oldies!]  This energizes me into action.  The music I choose to listen to in the car is related to how I feel and what I need from the music.  It might be the 60s station on satellite radio, might be kirtan chants on CDs, or the 40s station to remind me of my Dad who played in a big band in the 30s-40s.

Notice how you use music and how you could use music if you were choosing consciously.  Pay attention to the music choices that others around you are making, giving you a hint of how they are feeling or what they are, possibly unconsciously, needing from the energy of the music.  You might learn something about them that they would not verbalize or might not know themselves.

Conscious Living requires that we be aware and conscious of all aspects of our lives, even music!

Mystic Message from The Divine Feminine: Listen to the Music – Consciously!

Dear Ones,

When your heart is open to music, you are open to all of the higher vibrations in the Universe.  When you listen to music without opening your heart, you open yourself to a vulnerability to lower vibrations.  This is one reason that people who truly feel moved by the music they listen to can often more easily open their hearts than those who are not touched by music.

Now we know that some of you are wondering about the new kind of music that the young ones are listening to.  We would tell you that many of them are making themselves vulnerable to undesirable vibrations because of their music.  But many adults would throw out all types of the music the young folks enjoy even though not all are harmful.  The kind of music that makes them vulnerable has a message of lower vibration, frustration and anger and uses certain beats to move this message deeply into the young person’s psyche.  They do not realize that this is happening but it is manifest in them in a surliness and frustration that can turn to anger against those in authority.  Some of this music disturbs the brain waves of the youth so that they are vulnerable to the next encounter they have with someone else, whether that encounter is good or disturbing.

To recognize the effect of the music, listen for yourself and notice how you feel in your heart center of energy.  If you are disturbed, then the music is probably not the healthiest vibration.  Assess, though, whether your reaction is a dislike of the music or a genuine vibrational disturbance.  Then play some music that stirs you in a pleasant way and compare how you feel after that experience.  Do not use this as a way to try to change the young people in your life.  Rather, try to understand what they are experiencing and why they seek that experience.

Now try to find other examples of both types of music and notice how you feel with each.  A particular piece of music from a particular genre might have a different effect on you than another piece of music from the same genre.  Make a list of pieces of music that feel uplifting to you and create a playlist that you can use when you wish to feel uplifted. Make other lists of music that have different effects on your own vibrational level – those that energize you, those that make you feel peaceful and serene, those that assist you in meditation, those that help you think through problems clearly.  There are many ways that music can affect you and the same piece of music might fall on several of your lists.

If you have a young person in your life, take time to listen to some of their music with them. Ask them why they like a particular piece, how it makes them feel.  Share with them how you feel when you hear it, not to criticize or say that they are wrong for we want you to honor their honest feelings, but to demonstrate that different people can react differently to the same stimulus.  Then share some of the music from your list with them and ask them how they feel.  Remember to focus on the heart center.  Share how you feel when you are in the vibration of that music.  Make sure to use this opportunity to have an experience of sharing differences without criticism on either side.

This is a good exercise to do with a partner or loved one as a practice of sharing differences without criticism.  You might find several similar reactions and you might be surprised by differing reactions, even widely differing reactions.  Again, make sure that this is a sharing and that neither party is trying to influence the other.  Notice if there are compromises that can be reached if the two parties choices are very different.  Dinner music, for example, can be something chosen together to relax and aid digestion while each can listen to their particular preferences in their own cars.

Enjoy group experiences of music so that the heart centers of many can become connected in that vibration.  Concerts are so popular because many people are opening their hearts to others and enjoying the connections.  Noticing how music makes one feel is a part of Conscious Living.  We urge you to pay attention to the energy vibrations that you resonate with as a part of your growth in Consciousness.

And so it is.

MUSE-INGS: Hold the World in Love

Sometimes the hardest message about Love that we have to hear is the one about loving from a centered place that does not necessarily reflect what we are feeling in a certain moment.  Feelings can overwhelm us and when we are faced with a very emotional situation it can be extremely difficult to remember to project the energy of Universal Love.

The way to remind ourselves is to pause, take a breath, and notice how we feel without acting on that feeling yet.  Of course, if what you are feeling is fear of the sabre-toothed tiger who is bearing down on you, then you might want to run while you pause! But, even then, you will find that reaching into the place of peace and Universal Love within you and projecting that energy outside of yourself can calm the energy around you.  A friend encountered a mountain lion near her kitchen door and she went outside holding only Love and peaceful energy within her. She talked soothingly to the mountain lion while he looked at her.  The picture shows a brilliant light shining forth from the eyes of the mountain lion – an amazing photo!  My friend stayed in a higher vibration than fear and had a wonderful experience of close proximity with a mountain lion.

So what happens when we pause and breathe?  We then have time to move into the ‘observer mode,’ the place where we have the most resources for choosing a course of action.  When we can observe ourselves in a situation we can also observe possible outcomes of the choices we see before us.  If we stay in the emotion of the moment our vision is narrowed and we frequently can’t see multiple options from which to choose our next step.  And when we notice what is going on in our body in that moment we have even more information to work with.

Try this the next time you are interacting with someone, even if there are not intense emotions in the minute.  Take a second to visualize the Light and Love that is streaming into the top of your head from your connection to the Universal Source of Love and Light and connect with that energy in your Heart Center.  Then really look at the person, really notice them, really listen to them.  Notice how it feels in you when you do this.  This isn’t about bombarding them with Light energy, for that would be an invasion of their boundaries.  This is more like holding a space for them to be in connection with you in a bubble of this Love and Light.  They have the option of choosing to step into the bubble or to step away from it, but you are defining the vibration in which you wish to hold this interaction.  When someone chooses not to engage at this level of energy, that is their prerogative but you don’t have to step into a space that is not appropriate for you.

The person who is living the Conscious Life will practice always operating from this level of awareness and connection, with other people and with the Universal Source of Love and Light.  Imagine how peaceful the world would be if everyone operated in this energy.  You might not have the power to make the entire world enjoy this vibration but the world around you will certainly change when you are holding this energy in every situation!

Live and Love with One Heart

Dear Ones,

Living and loving with one heart gives you a unity of purpose in your life.  Do you know what we are meaning here?  Think about your heart and how many different ways that you have for loving – your life partner, your parents, your children, your friends, your work, your pets, your home, your car, your favorite sweater.  You use the term ‘love’ to describe a feeling about all of these people and objects.

We are talking about ‘love’ in the sense of the verb that is sourced in your heart of heart, the place within your body where the energy of your higher energy centers and your lower energy centers come together.  Your Heart Center is the place where the energy from Mother Earth comes up through your body and meets the higher vibration energy that comes through the top of your head from Source energy, the Universal Source of Love & Light.  These energies meet in your Heart Center and you can make a decision to send this energy out to others in a specific way that is not about how you feel about them.

Think of the people that you thought you loved in your life but for whom your feelings dimmed when they failed to live up to your expectations of them.  How many objects have you said you ‘loved’ yet discarded when they were no longer useful?  This is not the kind of love that we are addressing here.

We want you to think of Love as an energy that connects you to another because you choose to make that connection.  Think of your partner or child or grandchild or dear friend and think of holding them in a Love energy that does not have expectations, has no rules for them to follow, does not require reciprocation for you to hold them in that Love energy.  This Love comes from Consciousness, not from feelings.  This Love has no requirements on the other party.  And this Love has a great benefit to you because it allows you to maintain your own energy at a higher level than that of feelings.

We understand that all humans experience feelings and we are not telling you that there is anything wrong with having feelings.  But as a person who is committing to live a Conscious Life on Planet Earth then you are one who must learn about the higher vibrations of energies that take you above your feelings while allowing you to honor how you feel.  For some of you this might seem confusing but there are ways that you can achieve this.

First you must learn to honor the feelings that do arise within you. But by honoring those feelings we do not mean that you must determine your choices in life only on how you feel.  When you experience strong feelings you are being led to examine a situation or a relationship so that you can learn something in that moment.  The emotion is a clue that there is something for you to examine and from which you can learn.  The emotion is not the point of growth for you – it is the flag that tells you that you are in a situation that holds the potential for you to experience growth.  Learning to allow your emotions to be teachers for you is a big step in living a Conscious Life.

For example, when you are in a close relationship with another person, you are, by definition, going to experience reactions and emotions in that relationship.  Whether that person is a relative or loved one or colleague or boss, because you are both human, you will have feelings.  But the awake and aware individual knows that the relationship does not hinge only on the feelings of a moment.  The relationship is being forged in a whole collection of moments and requires that each participant be allowed the space and energy for personal growth within that relationship.  When one person refuses to grow the whole relationship suffers from that decision.  But when one person decides to operate in the relationship from their Heart Center, always holding the other person in the energy of Universal Love, then both parties benefit.

Do you see that the decision to hold another person, or a relationship, in the energy of Universal Love allows you to expand in your growth into Consciousness and allows the other person the opportunity to learn lessons and to also grow in Consciousness?  The difficult part of this is that you have no control over what the other person chooses to do in this situation.  They might choose to cut themselves off from the flow of Universal Love.  They might choose to ignore the opportunity for personal growth that has been afforded them.  They might even choose to turn around and attack you in the situation because you are not engaging with them at a lower vibration of energy.  But this does not mean that you can or should change your connection to the Source of Universal Love nor does it mean that you are right or they are wrong.  It simply means that you are operating in that moment from different vibrations of energy.  And this has nothing to do with how either of you is feeling in that moment.

Making a choice to find the space within you that holds the energy of Universal Love and then to participate in all relationships from that place will change the world around you.  You will find that the person who benefits the most from this is not the person on the other side of a relationship but is, indeed, yourself.  And holding yourself in the energy of Universal Love is Self Love, the place from which any love for others must flow.

And so it is.
