MUSE-INGS: Control Your Thoughts and Contribute

How mindful are you of the thoughts that you are contributing to the collective consciousness of all humanity?

That whole concept seems to carry a heavy burden of responsibility for the evolutionary process. And, yet, it really speaks to what it means to be fully human, doesn’t it?

If we think about the human beings who have inhabited Planet Earth for thousands of years, we can understand how thinking has evolved over time. The enslavement of cultures was widespread at one time and then some forward thinkers started looking at assimilation, rather than conquering and destruction, as a way to advance civilization. Sadly, we still have some of those old thinkers suppressing others but there are millions more of us who are calling out conquering for what it is and who are, at the same time, moving forward in our evolution of consciousness.

Advances in science, mathematics, astronomy [look at what the Hubble Space Telescope has taught us!], medicine, technology, and many more fields of endeavor have shown us that humanity is constantly questing for greater understanding of our world and the cosmos we inhabit. We are learning beings, always asking the questions that lead us forward. Inventors will tell you that there are often dead ends but every attempt brings with it new understanding, even if that understanding points to what doesn’t work.

Humanity has been through some of those ‘dead end’ experiments, too. Some ideologies haven’t worked. Some have worked for a few people but not for the majority. I believe the concept of Democracy, called ‘The Great Experiment,’ was born from a sense that government needed to go through it’s own evolutionary process and perhaps it was time to try something that might contain benefit for the majority. We are still in the middle of this experiment.

But those at the forefront of the evolution of consciousness are leaping forward in quantum leaps these days. Philosophers may not be labeling themselves as such but they abound. With the internet we have all become philosophers, sharing our thoughts as if they were peer-reviewed and Truth with a capital ‘T.’

Every thought that we think becomes part of the collective consciousness just as every thought that is shared on facebook or twitter becomes a part of the collective conversation. Is there, perhaps, too much sharing without careful self-control and self-awareness? Could we become a collective of brainwashed individuals instead of humans advancing their consciousness in the direction of deeper understanding of self and cosmos?

We are poised and ready to move forward as the human race. It is time for each of us to claim our power to control our thoughts, to examine our beliefs and to join the other humans in advancing human consciousness. To do this we must start with ourselves and our own thought processes.

All of our efforts should be focused in the direction of growth in awareness. We have more enlightened ways to raise children than in the past. We can interact with others in immediate ways and so must be cautious about the impact of that interaction – no longer can a handwritten letter sit on the desk for further reflection since we now pour out our thoughts in an email that is sent instantaneously. We question and we quest. New understanding becomes available every day.

Make some decisions today about how you will approach your personal growth. So many are worried about money today and classes abound in ‘making more money’ or ‘getting more clients.’ But are you healthy in your own thoughts about money? Have you worked to clear limiting beliefs?

People seem to be drifting away from religion but not finding the spiritual support they seek. Are you focusing on one aspect of your life and not all? Spiritual mentoring is not the same as coaching. I’m finding in my practice that the coaching part FOLLOWS the spiritual work, the personal growth work, the processing of thoughts and beliefs.

This is the advancement of human consciousness that is called for in these times. Do the work and you will be rewarded. It doesn’t work the other way around.

MUSE-INGS: If You Can’t Trust Your Own Gut, Whose Gut Can You Trust?

When I teach people about using their intuition to live a richer life, I often find that a person has no trouble receiving the messages from their inner guidance but they aren’t sure they can trust what they receive.  Does this sound like you?

It’s easy to dismiss an intuitive ‘hit’ as coincidence.  It’s easy to forget that you ‘had a feeling about that.’  But when you practice listening to your inner self and really looking for guidance within, you find that you CAN trust the signals you receive.  Even those that feel ‘off the wall.’

What is it that you would like to ask your own intuition?  If you came up with a question like, “Who will win the next election?” or “Will my team win the game?” then you might be working outside the sphere that we are talking about.  But you might think about a situation in which you are uncertain which path to take or which option to choose.  Very often this is why people come to me for coaching – they are struggling with a decision or confusion and they are having trouble seeing the road ahead for them.

As an Intuitive Coach I can share what I see about the path ahead for them but I also like to teach people to access their own inner wisdom no matter what I see.  I ask, “Is this resonating with you?” because I want the person to practice checking inside for how this information feels when they take it in and try it on.  It takes practice to learn to trust that you can take action on what you are feeling inside.  This is why working with someone can help you to build confidence in your own ability to tap into the wisdom.

Each human being has been granted a strong intuitive skill but our education systems and often society itself move us into being good little factory workers and doing what we are told instead of learning to question and to trust what is going on inside us.  As conscious beings we must learn to trust what we feel inside even if it contradicts something we are told outside of ourselves.

But let me add a caveat here.  Many people have an inner voice that criticizes them or bullies them.  This is NOT your Inner Wisdom.  These voices that are not positive and uplifting and supportive are not coming from a higher place within you.  Lift your awareness above this voice to find the higher vibration voice of Inner Wisdom.  This voice will never make you feel small or lesser than or criticized.  The voice of your Inner Wisdom speaks in a very matter-of-fact manner and supports your growth in awareness and consciousness.  Learn to discern and then you can trust that inner voice.

Practice following your gut this week.  Notice how you feel when you do that.  Notice how you feel when you do not.  Have an intuitive week!

MYSTIC MESSAGE from The Divine Feminine: Trust Your Gut!

Dear Ones,

When Life seems to be a struggle, where do you turn?  For many, the answer is to religion.  For some, it is to a friend or family member.  Others look for counseling or coaching.  But the best answer is to start by looking inward.

Within each human being there is a connection to Wisdom that cannot be explained by the knowledge a person has collected.  This Inner Wisdom contains the wisdom of the ages and exists in a person’s very essence, the DNA of their existence.  Many people have lost or forgotten how to connect to this inner source of guidance and wisdom.  Many have given away their connection by placing their trust in others outside themselves, giving away their power to someone or something else.

Where do you look for answers?  Have you learned how to connect to your Inner Wisdom?  Do you listen to and trust your ‘gut feelings’?  Are you supported by your intuition or do you question it?

The answer to your question lies within you.  If you need help accessing it, then ask someone to help you learn how to connect with your inner guidance.  If you feel there is an answer but you question it, then you must start trusting and practice listening to the guidance that is available within yourself.  If you feel there is nothing, that you are not feeling or hearing or seeing an answer, could it be that the answer is to wait?  Perhaps your impatience is causing you to seek the answer you want and to ignore a valid answer that doesn’t meet your preconceived notions.  Or maybe you don’t really want the answer and so you ignore the signals that you are receiving.

Your Inner Wisdom is a connection to the Wisdom of the Universe.  All knowledge lies within the Collective Consciousness that has it’s own dimension in the Universe.  You have the ability to connect to this source of Wisdom and to use it in your daily life.  Are you ready?  Are you willing?  You ARE able!

So starting today make a decision that you will learn to connect to your inner wisdom.  Starting today, practice listening to what you are hearing within you.  And starting today, trust what you feel in your gut.  Remember that you have what you need inside you.  You know that the answers lie within.  It is probably the case that the only thing about which you still have doubts is that you can trust what you hear within you.

Trust does not come from thinking about it or from being told to trust.  Trust comes from trusting.  The more you trust, the more comfortable you will be with trusting and the easier it will be for you.  Practice this.

So now what is your question?  What will you do with that question?  Try feeling for the answer inside you.  And trust what you receive.

And so it is.

Muse-ings: Change your thoughts and your world will change.

One concept that has really helped me is to use the analogy of paddling a canoe upstream versus allowing it to float along downstream being carried by the current of the river. How often do you feel as if you are paddling as hard as you can and yet getting nowhere? How hard do you paddle to keep bucking the tide and move upstream?

The real jailer here is the thinking that we do to arrive at impasses keeping us paddling upstream. What belief do you have in a given moment that keeps you struggling when, if you simply change that belief you could relax and float downstream with the current? Determining what this belief is and then doing something about changing that belief can bring a huge relief to you.

Working with beliefs and restrictive thinking I have seen many people turn around their lives just by deciding to believe something different about their situation. Sometimes it is a simple thought and sometimes it is a complex block, but once it is identified and cleared a person really can relax more.

Why is this so important? Because personal growth work is the most important work that you can do at this time. EVERYTHING in your life has the potential to improve if you are engaging in deep personal growth work – your business/career, your relationships, your life. Everything. This is why coaching is so important at this time as we navigate our way through complexities of personal growth work. But nothing is as rewarding as this work.

Many people don’t realize that doing their inner work is the best way to parent their children, but working on yourself allows your kids to be in a process of growth themselves, rather than thinking that, at some point, they will arrive at adulthood and no longer need to learn and to grow. Of course, engaging in improving yourself allows all your relationships to improve, especially your primary partnership. And no one in business or a career with a corporate entity can grow their business or build their career without doing a great deal of personal growth work. No matter what your situation is, doing the work to develop yourself and to maximize your personal growth will pay off in big ways in your work success.

Entrepreneurs know that, while they might love their business, setting off on this path is not all a bed of rose petals – some times there are thorns thrown in there! The path to success for the entrepreneur is through the doorway of personal growth. The entrepreneur who works on his/her own inner work paves the way for the business to grow without the restraints of one’s own limiting beliefs and negative thinking.

It’s easy to get started along this path of personal growth. It is usually preferable to have a guide, mentor, counselor or coach to help you along the way. Sometimes it just takes a nudge from a person who has a slightly different perspective to get us moving in the most important direction. The first session with a trusted adviser can get us started on the right track to really blossom.

If you are a person who doesn’t resonate with the notion of ‘vibratory frequencies’ then understand that, as we are all energy, we have our own personal ‘hum’ that is the frequency of YOU. I have a friend who is blind and she can sense who you are from the energy she feels when you approach her. And haven’t we all encountered so-called ‘energy vampires’ who suck the very energy out of us by their negativity or disconcerting energy frequencies?

Pay attention to energy this week. How do you feel? Are you feeling comfortable and compatible with your surroundings – at home, at work, in the mall or grocery store, around other people? Just notice. And notice, too, how you feel when you get back home to your ‘sanctuary.’ If you feel a difference, then examine where your energy feels the highest and do what it takes so that you can spend more time there.

Energy can be an interesting topic to explore but you know what you feel. Maybe you can do a bit of journaling about the energies you encounter this week. And record the times you had to step away from a person, a place or a thing. You’ll see lots of good information about yourself in this journal!
