THIS WEEK’S MYSTIC MESSAGE from The Divine Feminine: Reach for the Joy!

Dear Ones,

Be joyful today!  Fill your heart and your life with Joy!

Are you concerned that you are not feeling very joyous today?  Are you thinking about your problems or all the issues with which you are wrestling?  Is your ‘to-do’ list taking over your day?

We would tell you that Joy is not something that happens to you.  Joy is not what you feel when everything in your life is going smoothly or going your way.  Completing your ‘to-do’ list does not bring Joy into your life.  YOU bring Joy into your life!

Think about that last sentence.  Joy is not an accident, so you must bring Joy into your own life.  Please do not equate Joy with Happiness for they are not the same.  Happy, sad – these are reactions to what is happening to you or to the circumstances in which you find yourself.  Joy is a sense within yourself that you are connected to the Source of all Love in the Universe, that your Life Plan is unfolding as it should, and that you are connected with your Life Purpose and are living in consonance with this.  Joy resides within you and is always available to you although, at times, you might forget its existence.

Seek Joy because you wish to express it in your outer life.  Find the Joy that is available to you.  And to do this you must first learn to go inside yourself.

Many people fear reaching into their innermost regions because they are afraid of what they will find there.  It is easy to create such a busy life that there is no time to go inside.  It is easy to focus on other people or work or tasks to accomplish before taking the time to do what is called ‘inner work.’  But we would tell you to ask yourself if all the ‘busyness’ is a distraction from your real work.  Ask yourself if you are using other people or work or tasks on your ‘to-do’ list to avoid going inside yourself to do the work required for your own growth.  If you are honest with yourself and you realize that you have been avoiding ‘inner work’ then now is the time to commit to yourself that you will make the time to do it.

For the reward is Joy.  Are you afraid to experience the pain of processing emotionally distressing events from your past?  Are you worried that doing ‘inner work’ will open a floodgate of emotion that you are ill-prepared to handle?  You do not need to do this work alone.  There are others who can assist you on the inner journey to Joy.  And not all processes/techniques require that you feel again the emotions that are within.  Use those emotions as signals that there is something for you to learn and learn the lesson.  The necessity for the emotion then goes away.

Try meditation as a way to go inside to find Joy for your life.  Some are afraid that meditation is a difficult thing to learn or that they are not doing it correctly.  Meditation can be simply stilling an analytical mind long enough to allow a connection to one’s inner being without the distraction of active thinking.  A set of slow breaths can be a meditation.  This does not need to be a formal practice nor does it need to take a long time.  But the benefits of a break in your day to connect with the Inner You can be great.

When you are forgetting that there is Joy deep within you, it might seem more difficult for you to work to access that Joy, but the important thing to remember is that you do not need to seek Joy from an external source.  Joy does not come through substances, people, circumstances, money or success.  Joy does not come and go with the vagaries of daily activity.  Joy is a solid constant within you and all you need to do is to remember that it lives within and that you can always have access to Joy.  Reach inside to find the Joy that lives there.  No matter what is happening in your day, pause and reach for Joy.  Remember that you are always connected to the Source of Love in the Universe.  Remember the connection, reach inside and find the Joy.

May your day be filled with the Joy that awaits you!

And so it is.

THIS WEEK’S MYSTIC MESSAGE: What’s on your to-do list?

Dear Ones,

How many items are on your to-do list at this time?  Do you have the items prioritized?  And what do you consider the most important item on the list – something for your work, your family, your finances?  Or your spiritual development?

Let us suggest that you consider your spiritual development as foundational to all your other values and priorities.  When you think about your work, do you think about it as something separate from who you are as a spiritual person?  It is not separate.  You are first and foremost a spiritual being having a physical lifetime on Planet Earth and your work FOLLOWS from this – it is not the other way around.  Furthermore, your spiritual work IS your work, so you really cannot separate the two.

Many of you reading this will think that we are talking about religion here but that is not so.  It matters not which religion, if any, that you choose to practice.  Your being a spiritual person is more about the eternal, timeless you than about what you do [religion].  Think of the essence of yourself as being the spiritual you.  You are timeless, eternal.  You are greater than any of the circumstances in your life at the present time.  You are greater than the people who surround you, who like you, love you, don’t like you, help you, hurt you, ignore you.  You are also greater than the job that you perform in the world.  Your work in the world is to further your personal growth, to expand the consciousness of the spiritual being that you are in your essence.

All of your other priorities flow from this work of personal growth.  The more you work on yourself, the more you are able to help others to do so.  A person who does not do this personal work cannot offer support to others who are doing so.  Have you ever met someone who is so self-absorbed that they cannot hear you and what you are saying to them because they are focused only on how they feel, what they want or what they think/believe?  These people are not living a Conscious Life.  They are not on a path of personal spiritual growth, and they cannot help you on your path.  If you are connected to someone like this ask yourself if this person is assisting you in growing or if your association is hindering you in your own growth.  Your growth in consciousness needs to be your top priority.

Can you see whatever your work in the world might be at this time as an expression of your own personal spiritual growth?  It does not matter if you are working in an office with a lot of other people or working alone at home.  Perhaps your job is one that you hope one day to leave but, for some reason, you are still in that job.  Consider that you might be there because the circumstances or the people are offering you a laboratory, a classroom, in which you can learn lessons vital to your personal growth.  You might also be the vehicle through which others are learning their own lessons.

If you love your work, are you helping others because of your own spiritual growth?  Are others helping you to progress?  If your work is fulfilling, is it because it causes you to feel expanded, to feel your own growth through that work?  And if it is not fulfilling, what aspect is missing?  Could it be that you feel stagnant, that you cannot grow in this situation?

When you look at your family, are they supportive of your personal growth, the expansion of your consciousness or do you feel restricted by them?  Are you eager to share what you are learning through the lessons in your life or do you fear being rebuffed and thus stay closed-mouth or shut down?

Ask yourself how you feel about focusing your attention on your own spiritual growth.  Are you comfortable making this your number one priority?  Can you see how your work, your family, even your finances, are the result of your work on yourself and are not to be separated into compartments that do not connect with each other?

Now get your priorities arranged so that you can do that number one item on the list.  Focus on your personal growth first and you will be able to prioritize all the other items on the list easily.  Expand your own awareness and you will bring more resources to solving the problems inherent in all the other items on your to-do list.

Remember that you came into this lifetime to learn lessons.  When you focus on learning your own lessons, you increase the resources you have to share with others who are also learning lessons.  Fulfill your goals to expand yourself and all your other goals will be accomplished.  Make sure you do not put your own personal growth work at the bottom of the priority list – just get it done!

And so it is.

MUSE-INGS: Pause and Make a Conscious Decision

It seems we are constantly being given choices about with whom to spend time and how we wish to spend that time.  There are so many opportunities for activities that we could be busy all the time, if we wished.  Many object that they don’t have a partner or they don’t have the money to do things but there are many activities that do not require money or a partner.  We are always at the point of choice about how we are spending our time.

We might have a job where the people do not feel supportive, but we are choosing to work there for the paycheck or the prestige or whatever the reason is, including that there are not very many other jobs.  Or we might be out of work at the moment wishing that we had a job to complain about but perhaps this is the Universe’s way to protect us from being around a vibration that is toxic to us and to our spiritual and personal growth.  Maybe you are in a relationship with friends, a partner, a family member and that relationship seems to drag you down or keep you from moving forward as you like.  Perhaps the food you are eating makes you feel heavier instead of lighter, and we are not discussing weight here, but how you feel, what your vibration is.

Consider that the vibratory frequency of Love is a high vibration.  It becomes a conscious choice for awakened individuals to move their own vibration to this level.  It doesn’t happen by accident for adults who are dragging a lot of Life’s baggage around with them.  And this level of Love vibration starts with loving oneself.

Is all this talk of ‘Love vibration’ starting to sound like the Summer of ’69 talk to you?  Think about what was happening then, beyond Woodstock and drugs.  There was a feeling that we all need a way to feel peaceful.  We need to learn to love each other and ourselves.  People were trying out communal living as a way to band together with like-minded individuals and create community.  We were all searching for something, at least, those of us who were alive then were searching.

Maybe we have become more sophisticated since then or maybe we have become distracted, but now we have an understanding about how to gain that peaceful feeling.  And we can create community on the Internet or at spiritual centers or by gathering like-minded people together without having to live in a commune.

We can meditate, individually or in a group, and raise our own vibration.  We can teach our children to meditate so that they have a tool to overcome the denseness of the world.  We can talk with others about loftier topics than the weather or the latest reality TV show.  These are all choices.  We can watch movies that make us feel good, whether with Netflix or On Demand or in a theater, and we can share the experience with others.  Book clubs abound now with people wanting to have discussions, to gather around a topic and discuss ideas rather than other people.

Love yourself.  Start there to focus on raising your own vibration.  Love yourself enough to pay attention to the signals that you intuitively feel about people, places, entertainment, food.  Open your heart to those around you, not to allow yourself to be demeaned or abused but to genuinely start with Love in your heart for ALL around you.  And then make a determination about how you feel in the presence of others.  Decide consciously whether or not to spend time with them.  Decide how you feel about a proposed activity – are you going along with the crowd or does it really feel like something you wish to spend your precious time participating in?  And then think about the food and drink that you put in your body.  Take a moment before you eat to really assess how you feel about ingesting that food.  Get yourself relaxed and peaceful before you eat anything so that you can be conscious about eating.

Try all this and see how you feel a month from now!

BOOK LIGHTS: from The Law of Attraction is NOT a Secret

“What would happen if we allowed ourselves to take the time to just ‘be’?  Would our world stop or spin out of control because we slowed down for a bit?  No, of course it wouldn’t.  There wouldn’t be any dire circumstances from allowing ourselves to be, to take a break from activity and hustle and bustle for no reason other than to enjoy ourselves.  There would be no negative repercussions from sitting down and relaxing with the knowledge that we are comfortable with who we are and what we want.  In other words, we don’t have to feel bad about feeling good!”

by Anita Wheeler

I highly recommend finding some time to just ‘be’!  You might have to do as I’ve done and leave the house for a couple of days so that you’re not distracted by all the projects waiting for you to complete them.  Or go to your local coffee shop, have a cup of [fill in the blank with your favorite beverage] and look off into space, watch the people walking by on the street, read a trashy novel.  Of course, if you can get away to meditate and walk in nature you’ll benefit even more, but the exercise doesn’t have to take money or much time.  Just give yourself the gift of time to just ‘be’!

THIS WEEK’S MYSTIC MESSAGE from The Divine Feminine: Are Your Thoughts Filled with Light?

Dear Ones,

Please remember that you are all connected to one another. No decision that you make can be made in isolation.  No word that you speak can stay in your own orb, your own space.  And, likewise, no thought that you have or express can stay with you – it reverberates immediately throughout the Universe.

Every thought that comes to you has a source, a space in which it was formed.  That thought in your mind can come from one of myriad sources but the most prevalent source for most thoughts is in your own mind, the place that is formed from your experiences and from what you have been taught is true.  Are you aware of this fact?  Every experience that you have ever had is contained in your mind and shapes the thoughts that you hold onto.  If you were raised in a household where people were prejudiced against another group or other groups you might not even recognize that prejudice within yourself even when someone else points it out to you.  If you were raised to believe that a certain religion is the only true religion and the God that you were told to believe in is the one true God then you might not listen with an open heart when someone expresses information that contradicts that belief.  If you were raised to believe that science holds true in all cases and that, if it can’t be proven according to the current methods of science, then it must not be true, then it is probably difficult for you to conceive of the ideas of meta-physics which is ‘beyond physics.’

What are some other sources of the thoughts that you have?  They could be stimulated by a passing glance at something that triggers a thought. For example, you might see a sign with a picture of someone drinking milk and remember that you need to buy milk on your way home.  Or someone could say something to you that triggers a response.  These responses come from a place inside you where your previous experiences and your current reality intersect.

When you encounter a new idea that is presented by someone else, in a book or conversation, for example, you might weigh that idea and have reactions to it or decide to embrace that idea as a belief for yourself.  You must first be open to the concept that you do not already know everything for this to happen, however!

Creative thought comes through your connection to the All, to the Cloud of Knowable Things, to the Source within the Universe.  New ideas, or ideas that might be new to you, are available at all times through this connection to Source.  How often do you connect in this way?

To make this connection you must first purify the channel of your mind by examining how invested you are in the ideas/thoughts that you have held dear for most of your life.  Do you believe that some of your own ideas about how the world works might have been formed in error or with less than full knowledge about the workings of the Universe?  Do you understand that your parents and schoolmates and the culture and society and religion [or no religion] in which you grew up have formed not only your thoughts but also the way you approach new thoughts?  Until you have examined the source of your own thoughts you will struggle to be really creative and to connect to expanded thinking.

Learn about yourself by being in a curious state.  Wonder about the root of your current beliefs.  Are they truly your own or did they come from another source?  Are you, as an adult, still believing ideas that you embraced as a little child and are those ideas still valid for you?

When you have done the self-examination described here then you will be able to consider thoughts that come from Creative Source.  It is very difficult to explore new ideas when you are wedded to that which is formed in concrete within your own mind.  Break up that concrete and become a curious explorer, looking in wonder at your own ideas and the thoughts that originate elsewhere.  Breathe into a quiet mind and find that connection that allows you to receive new thoughts for consideration.  Explore with wonder and you will find there is much to learn.  Enjoy the journey!

And so it is.

BOOK LIGHTS: From “The Journey” by Brandon Bays

“I realized that there is a way in which everyone must follow their own, unique healing path, and it is an experience that no one else can have for you.  Spiritual transformation is an inner journey – it’s the soul’s personal path of learning and letting go, and it’s something that must be experienced on your own.”

Spiritual transformation IS an inner journey, and it starts with asking the right questions of our Self in every moment: Who am I to be in this moment?  What is mine to do in this moment?   What is the truth for me in this moment?

BOOK LIGHTS: From “The Journey” by Brandon Bays

Here’s a long quote that describes well something hard to put into words:

“I felt as if my own awareness filled not only the room but extended boundlessly beyond, encompassing everything and in everything.  My mind became utterly still, completely thought-free, and it seemed as if we were all bathing, soaking in this presence of love.  We were steeping in Source.

“After a few minutes we opened our eyes, and as I got ready to speak, it occurred to me that this stillness is contagious.  If there is just one person hanging out in thought-free awareness, everyone ‘catches’ it.  I have since read a beautiful quotation by W.B. Yeats which expresses this perfectly:

“We can make our mind so like still water that beings gather about us to see their own images, and so for a moment live a clearer, perhaps even fiercer, life because of our quiet.

Mystic Message from The Divine Feminine: Listen to the Music – Consciously!

Dear Ones,

When your heart is open to music, you are open to all of the higher vibrations in the Universe.  When you listen to music without opening your heart, you open yourself to a vulnerability to lower vibrations.  This is one reason that people who truly feel moved by the music they listen to can often more easily open their hearts than those who are not touched by music.

Now we know that some of you are wondering about the new kind of music that the young ones are listening to.  We would tell you that many of them are making themselves vulnerable to undesirable vibrations because of their music.  But many adults would throw out all types of the music the young folks enjoy even though not all are harmful.  The kind of music that makes them vulnerable has a message of lower vibration, frustration and anger and uses certain beats to move this message deeply into the young person’s psyche.  They do not realize that this is happening but it is manifest in them in a surliness and frustration that can turn to anger against those in authority.  Some of this music disturbs the brain waves of the youth so that they are vulnerable to the next encounter they have with someone else, whether that encounter is good or disturbing.

To recognize the effect of the music, listen for yourself and notice how you feel in your heart center of energy.  If you are disturbed, then the music is probably not the healthiest vibration.  Assess, though, whether your reaction is a dislike of the music or a genuine vibrational disturbance.  Then play some music that stirs you in a pleasant way and compare how you feel after that experience.  Do not use this as a way to try to change the young people in your life.  Rather, try to understand what they are experiencing and why they seek that experience.

Now try to find other examples of both types of music and notice how you feel with each.  A particular piece of music from a particular genre might have a different effect on you than another piece of music from the same genre.  Make a list of pieces of music that feel uplifting to you and create a playlist that you can use when you wish to feel uplifted. Make other lists of music that have different effects on your own vibrational level – those that energize you, those that make you feel peaceful and serene, those that assist you in meditation, those that help you think through problems clearly.  There are many ways that music can affect you and the same piece of music might fall on several of your lists.

If you have a young person in your life, take time to listen to some of their music with them. Ask them why they like a particular piece, how it makes them feel.  Share with them how you feel when you hear it, not to criticize or say that they are wrong for we want you to honor their honest feelings, but to demonstrate that different people can react differently to the same stimulus.  Then share some of the music from your list with them and ask them how they feel.  Remember to focus on the heart center.  Share how you feel when you are in the vibration of that music.  Make sure to use this opportunity to have an experience of sharing differences without criticism on either side.

This is a good exercise to do with a partner or loved one as a practice of sharing differences without criticism.  You might find several similar reactions and you might be surprised by differing reactions, even widely differing reactions.  Again, make sure that this is a sharing and that neither party is trying to influence the other.  Notice if there are compromises that can be reached if the two parties choices are very different.  Dinner music, for example, can be something chosen together to relax and aid digestion while each can listen to their particular preferences in their own cars.

Enjoy group experiences of music so that the heart centers of many can become connected in that vibration.  Concerts are so popular because many people are opening their hearts to others and enjoying the connections.  Noticing how music makes one feel is a part of Conscious Living.  We urge you to pay attention to the energy vibrations that you resonate with as a part of your growth in Consciousness.

And so it is.
