THIS WEEK’S MYSTIC MESSAGE from The Divine Feminine: “What IS Self-Realization?”

Dear Ones,

Self-Realization is the manifestation of the greatest potential of an individual human being on Planet Earth. The Self-Realized person LIVES as the Soul. Their Personality has surrendered to the Soul in all things.

The journey to Self-Realization is a long one – lifetimes of Conscious Living. But in the 21st Century there are many who are on this journey and who are helping others along the way.

How do you know if you have achieved Self-Realization? There is no question, Dear Ones, for you will know.

As Self-Realization becomes a clear goal for you, there are several steps you must take to move closer to that goal.

The first is a strong commitment to living a Conscious Life. You must be aware of what you are doing, thinking and believing at all times. You must be conscious of where your own issues lie – what ‘blind spots’ do you have? What do you not know, or not admit, that you don’t know? What choices are you making in your Life and do they come from a clear connection to your Soul?

The second is to develop a strong connection to and trust in your own intuition. Are you being guided by others without testing that guidance against your own inner wisdom? Or are you always pausing to listen to your inner voice before you choose which action to take? Do you receive intuitive messages but then question whether you can trust them or analyze your way out of following the guidance?

The next step is to regularly disconnect from the outer world so that you can clear your thoughts and energies from the pollution of the world around you. Start each day with meditation, a check-in with your inner guidance, about your day. Do not make this check-in just about what you are to DO but ask who you are to BE. When you give yourself permission to break away from the energies of the outer world, even for a short period, you enhance your Soul connection and move in the direction of Self-Realization.

It is also important that you have some time for creative expression each day, for expressing yourself creatively is how you channel Divine Energy into the world around you. This does not mean that you must spend all day painting or composing music, but it does mean that you are to find a way to create something new each day – ideas, systems, food dishes, relationships, expressions of your feelings, thoughts, beliefs. Allow each day to draw from you something creative and you will be moving in the direction of Self-Realization.

And, finally, you must be an active participant in your Spiritual Journey. You must input uplifting thoughts, ideas, music, activities so that you are keeping your vibrational level at the energy of the Soul, working to avoid the darkness of low energy vibrations. For some this means eschewing activities or relationships that are not spiritually uplifting. For some this may mean moving away from a dark city, to some other place in the world that has more Light.

Ultimately every choice in Life must be for the Light and away from the darkness. When this is achieved, a person becomes one with the Light and is Self-Realized.

And so it is.

Muse-ings: Time is speeding up — figure out your Life Purpose Now!

It always seems that a discussion of one’s Life Purpose brings some emotions into play that relate to the enormity of that purpose. It’s called ‘stepping out in a big way.’

Our spirit knows why we have come onto the planet at this time and our whole life is focused on accomplishing that Life Purpose. I’ve heard this called our ‘Big Why.’ What is YOUR ‘Big Why’? Have you given this much thought?

There are many systems for self knowledge that all try to point you in the direction of your purpose but it’s so easy to get derailed because we feel inadequate to accomplish something that big. We think, ‘Who am I to think I have a mission that important or that big?’ Or we think that ‘Someday I will do that work but now I must focus on [making money, taking care of my family, pursuing my education, etc.].’

This week’s Mystic Message seems to want us to develop a sense of urgency around this. ‘Time is speeding up.’ There might not be the leisure of extra time to delay the manifesting of our Life Purpose. What are we waiting for?

That is the important question: What are we waiting for?

NOW is the time to learn what your Life Purpose is so that you can be about the business of living that Purpose. What have you done so far to discover this?

I have worked with many clients who wish to have this question answered for them and their guides have offered clarification for them. For some the answer comes through scientific hand analysis because the messages contained in the patterns of our hands are unique to us and to our purpose in being on the planet. It has been fascinating to study this technique of determining one’s Life Purpose and then to see how often what is revealed in a hand reading is just a confirmation of what the person has been feeling/thinking/wanting to do. Our inner spirit KNOWS why we are here, if we take the time and make the effort to listen to the wisdom.

What have you done lately to check that you are on the path of personal growth in the direction you must go to fulfill your Life Purpose? Are you struggling with the question of why you are here?

There are many ways that you can determine the answer to this question and most don’t require that you sit on top of a mountain in the Himalayas and ponder this for years!

Meditate on the questions you have about your life. Journal about these questions and tap into your inner wisdom to receive answers. Talk about this deep subject with trusted advisors. Have a reading with someone you trust to help you see what you cannot see or confirm what you are feeling. Think about scheduling a scientific hand analysis session so that you can start to learn about the messages that are right at your fingertips!

Whatever path you choose, do explore this topic for yourself, especially if you feel that there is something missing in your life, something more for you to be/do. Remember that ‘time is speeding up’!

MUSE-INGS: “Who Am I, Really?” by Rosemary Bredeson

What a great exercise this is!  It is so easy to get disconnected from our essential self in our busy lives.  We move through the days without understanding motivations or deeper meanings and then we’re exhausted and only interested in getting enough rest to tackle another tiring day tomorrow.  But how important it is to hit the pause button in Life sometimes, to take a break from the running around, the supercharged and busy life that has us moving on only 2 speed options: full speed ahead or full stop.  Maybe the most important thing we can learn in these busy days is to take time to pause.

So how will you take the suggestion in the message today and apply it in your life?  Will you take time to do the exercise and get in touch with your essence?  Do you have some other method that you use to do exercises like this?

I don’t think the methodology is as important as the commitment to Self to take time to go inside and see what we find.  I had a major insight in a class where I was doing a mandala exercise, drawing something in a blank circle.  I looked at the circle on the paper and ‘saw’ the image of a pyramid that extended beyond the edge of the circle.  I colored outside the lines for the first time in my life!  It was tremendously freeing to give myself permission to do this.  To you this might be funny as you’ve always done this, but to someone who has always been a ‘color inside the lines’ kind of person, this is huge!

Some people start journaling and find that their hand almost has a mind of its own as it writes things that were never before revealed or disclosed on paper.  Others find art exercises or walks in nature or meditation experiences that unveil previously hidden parts of Self and create their own ‘aha’ moments.  What is your favorite way to gain insights into yourself?

Whatever method or methods you decide to use, make a choice today to give yourself some time for inner work, self reflection, in the near future.  Find the time, commit the time, make the arrangements and then keep that commitment.  You will be richly rewarded for doing an exercise in getting in touch with your essence.

And this is not something that you just do once.  Commit to doing this more than once.  What frequency feels good to you?  Is this something you want to do once a week for awhile?  Every day?  Once a month on the Full or New Moon?  Ask yourself what feels most beneficial for you and then put the time on your calendar and allow yourself to follow through.

What other questions would you like to ask?  These exercises often lead us to asking other questions when we feel as if we are stuck or are hitting a wall.  When you feel something going on ask yourself, ‘What is behind this?’ and then ‘What is behind this?’ again until you feel that you have reached the real center point.

In tense situations the question might be, ‘What is this?’  Keep asking the same question until the energy shifts.

Come up with your own process, your own questions, and see what happens.  All you need is a few moments of your time and a curious mind/heart.

‘Who Am I?’ is a good place to start!

THIS WEEK’S MYSTIC MESSAGE from The Divine Feminine: “Who am I?”

Dear Ones,

How often do you drill down to the core of your being to examine what truly exists there? Are you a person who lives on the surface of life or do you linger in the depths of emotions but avoid the in-depth analysis of who you truly are, your essence, in the center of your being?Let us help you today to examine your essence.

Many of you live in a busy life that leaves you little time to ponder the meaning of events, feelings, your life. Many others of you spend a lot of time pondering your life, or what’s missing in your life, and you avoid or put off actually living your life to its fullest. And some are trying to do both and feeling paralyzed by life. How do you interact with your life and yourself in your life?

If you can pause in your busy life, whether it is filled with activity or analysis or paralysis, and look into the center of your Self, what will you find? How do you feel as we suggest that you do this? Are you frightened? Nervous? Excited? Worried? Just notice how you react to the idea that you might look deeply inside yourself for you will get information about yourself from that reaction.

This process does not require a weekend retreat or even hours of meditation but it does require a commitment to be honest with yourself. Are you willing to make that commitment?

To start this process, do find some time when you can be alone, without the intrusive energy of others, and allow yourself to be in a relaxed state, maybe in an environment that is comfortable and conducive to reflection. Light a candle, and incense if you like, and allow your thoughts of busyness to float away from you as you claim this time for yourself. You will probably want to have some writing materials or a journal handy as you start.

Now get into a comfortable position, take a few deep breaths while you focus on becoming very relaxed. This is not for going to sleep but for going inside. Imagine that you are on a vacation where you have no responsibilities, no schedule, no place to be and you are on your own for the moment. Where are you? Look around you to see what your environment is. If you feel uncomfortable then move to another environment in your mind’s eye, for you are controlling this exercise.

When you are feeling relaxed and comfortable then start to ask yourself, ‘Who am I?’ and notice your answers to that question. After each answer, ask again, ‘Who am I?’ This may sound strange or humorous at first, but each time you ask yourself this question you will go a little bit more deeply into your essence. ‘Who am I?’ Ask again and be curious about your next response. ‘Who am I?’ You might start to find that you are no longer defining yourself in relationships to others. ‘Who am I?’ You might be going back in time to what was in you as a child or at birth. ‘Who am I?’ By now you might be thinking of yourself in an abstract way, using nebulous language to describe yourself. ‘Who am I?’ Ask again, and you will be starting to get to your essence, your core.

Continue in this way until you cannot ask the question anymore because it doesn’t make sense to differentiate yourself from all of Life.

What was your path to your essence? Are you now trying to analyze or predict what you would say if you tried this exercise? Are you feeling as if you don’t need to do this because you already know yourself so well? No judgments here, just notice and be curious.

There are many ways to go inside and this is just one path but it is a good one to try to start the process of self-examination. When you feel complete with the exercise for this moment, then allow yourself to gently return to your body in the room you started in and come back to your space. Journal about the experience and how you felt along the way.

Try doing this on multiple occasions and see if you travel down different paths to the same place or the same path to different destinations.

And remember that you are The Light. Any time that you feel you are in the dark it is merely because you have turned your back on The Light that is inside you. Look inside to find The Light that is always burning brightly there.

And so it is.

THIS WEEK’S MYSTIC MESSAGE from The Divine Feminine: Be Your Own Genius!

Dear Ones,

Ever since humans have been walking on Planet Earth they have been questioning the reasons for happenings around them.  You might believe that early humans were not curious but how do you think decisions were made about what to eat and what not to eat?  They came out of curiosity and someone tried to eat something.  They lived or they died, and the others learned what was safe and what was not.

Humans have a similar kind of curiosity today but the situations are more subtle than when they were looking for food.  Today, people are searching for simple solutions to complex problems, and so they look to someone else to tell them what is safe and what isn’t, what works and what doesn’t, and what is true and what isn’t.  People are giving away their power to the external source who tells them what they want to believe.  Unfortunately, many of those who are speaking out have not done the research themselves, as the early humans did.  These speakers are believing something told to them by someone else who supposedly did ‘research.’  This so-called ‘research’ might or might not have been valid or worthwhile but for every bit of research there is some audience who wants to believe the results and so in that sphere it becomes validated by acceptance and repetition.

Do you see how far removed people are becoming from the source of the information available to them about ‘safe or unsafe,’ ‘works or doesn’t work,’ ‘true or not’?  Decide today that you will become a person who seeks the source.  Don’t believe or accept on blind faith.  Check inside yourself for your own truth.  Just because someone says it is so does not make it valid for you at this time.  Even what we are telling you should be checked against your internal compass to make sure it is congruent with the direction in which your journey is taking you today.

In all things it is important that you learn to go inside and reach for your Inner Guidance.  You KNOW what is true for you, even if you feel you cannot be certain.  There is always a part of you that knows for sure.  Reach for that part.  Seek help if you do not know how to do this.  Get in touch with guidance for yourself, for there is a wealth of information available to you if you seek it.  Great thinkers throughout time have known this and have used their innate abilities to find answers to their questions.  They seek answers but look to themselves, their own research, even their dreams to find what they seek.  Many geniuses will tell you that it is in rest and relaxing out of the search that great ideas arise.  Why should you be different?

Are you one of those who think you have to be active all the time?  Do you feel you must be doing, doing, doing in order to move forward?  What if you could make more forward progress by resting, thinking about something else, engaging in a hobby, and then returning to problem-solving with fresh eyes?  Perhaps napping and allowing your unconscious mind to connect the dots for you would be more productive.  Maybe a meditation exercise would free your creativity so that you could return to your task with greater understanding.

These are suggestions for 21st Century humans to approach problem-solving and answer-seeking.  The early humans knew what they were about when they made their own observations.  Stop giving away your power as a thinking, creative person and do your own research, find your own answers.  Listen to others but do not be swayed to act against what feels true for you.  Do not believe just because others believe.  Be an individual, for you were brought to Planet Earth for an individual purpose.  No one else has the same roadmap.  Be careful about who you allow to drive your life!

And so it is.

THIS WEEK’S MYSTIC MESSAGE from The Divine Feminine: Focus on the Beauty of the Moment

Dear Ones,

We are pleased that so many of you are taking time to ‘smell the roses,’ as the saying goes.  It is so important for the human soul to take time to enjoy beauty, to be present to the beauty that is surrounding life, and to share beauty with others.

When you are immersed in your work or your problems to the exclusion of what is around you then you are not living a fully human and conscious life.  There is beauty in every moment, somewhere in your vicinity.  Look for it.  Is it the magnificence of the sunrise or sunset?  Is there a beautiful hummingbird at your window feeder?  Can you see a child’s perfect smile or hear an older person’s knowing laugh?  Is there a color nearby that looks beautiful to you?  Did you hear music that you love or see someone who made you smile or enjoy your pet today?

You do not have to look far to find beauty.  But what if your attention is focused on what is NOT beautiful around you?  What if you are struggling or looking at clutter or tired of drab surroundings?  What can you do?

Do you realize that to live a Conscious Life you must be the one who chooses where to focus your attention?  Just because something pops up in your awareness does not mean that you must linger with that thought or focus all your attention on it.  This is the first lesson in stilling the mind for meditation.  It is not that you must expend effort in trying to keep thoughts from arising in your mind, for your mind’s purpose is to bring thoughts into your conscious awareness.  Rather, it is your lesson to learn to allow the thoughts to drift through your awareness without your attaching your awareness to them.  Just as you allow clouds to drift across the sky, so can you allow thoughts to drift across the sky of your mind without trying to cling to them or hold onto them in your awareness.  Letting go of thoughts so that they can drift through your consciousness allows you to deepen relaxation into the meditative state.

When you are not meditating, you can choose whether or not to attach your focus to the thoughts that are drifting through your consciousness.  Ask yourself, ‘Is this thought that I am having the one that I wish to focus on?’  If the answer is ‘No’ then shift your focus.  If you feel that this is too difficult for you to do, then look for the beauty around you.  Hold the thought in your mind with the awareness of the beauty that is there for you in that moment.  Allow both thoughts to be in your awareness.  Can you find a way to understand, in that precious moment in time, that whatever problem you have in your focus is counterbalanced to some degree by an element of beauty that also exists in that moment for you?  This is true in every moment, no matter what the problem is that you are facing.

Beauty is important in life so that you can see beyond the troublesome energies that try to bombard you.  The media, the naysayers, the negative commentaries, the news – all are trying to get you to focus on something that drains your energy and takes your focus away from beauty.  But you are conscious human beings.  You have the ability to choose where to place your focus.  You can seek beauty where other forces would have you see only negativity.

There is tragedy in the world.  There are uncomfortable things to see and experience.  But there is also always beauty.  Watch a raindrop slide down a windowpane and wonder about Nature rather than curse the thunderstorm.  When you are feeling lonely go out and smile at a stranger or two.  There is beauty in the faces of other people if you but look for it.

Surround yourself with beauty in your home.  Is there a peaceful place where you can enjoy looking around you?  Have you created a haven of beauty that allows you to shut out the outside world?  If not, create that haven as soon as possible.  Use Beauty to create peace for yourself.

And remember to look for the beauty in every moment, even if it is just to look in the mirror and see the perfect human being gazing back at you!

And so it is.

THIS WEEK’S MYSTIC MESSAGE: Are you still throwing tantrums?

Dear Ones,

When troubles come into your life, what do you do to deal with them?  Have you established strategies to cope with problems or do you allow them to take over your day, your life?  Have you thought about the coping strategies that you use and examined them for relevance in your current life or are you still doing what you did when you were a child, a teenager, or someone much younger without the experiences and the learnings you have gained over the years?

Think about that.  When your life is upset, by your own internal emotions or responses to external stimuli, or when external events upset your plans, how do you react?  Children learn very early in life to react to stimulus.  They learn to assess their situation and to figure out a way to get what they want or need.  A tiny baby craves attention and food and dry clothing and will do whatever it takes to get what they need in the moment.  A toddler learns to test the boundaries of their world by saying ‘no’ and pushing on the limits set by authority figures.  Older children learn to acquiesce when a tantrum won’t give them their desired outcome.

And some adults have never learned skills beyond what they practiced as teenagers.  Do you have some coping mechanisms in your skill set that are outmoded and inappropriate for your current life?

Look at some situations that you encounter in your daily life and then examine how you react in those situations.  Are you awake, aware, fully conscious of your response or do you act with a ‘knee-jerk reaction’ that might have been appropriate earlier in your life but might not be appropriate today?  Do you take time to pause and consider your response or are you consistently acting from habit not conscious thought?

We would tell you that most adults on Planet Earth are acting unconsciously in the 21st Century.  Most are using strategies that might have worked when they were 10 years old but that are no longer appropriate.  Have you ever seen an adult pout, perhaps in an adult way, when they do not get their way?  Have you ever caught yourself wanting to say something a 7-year-old would say in response to something upsetting?  That automatic pilot that searches your personal unconscious data base might not know that you have grown beyond the age where tantrums were appropriate, and if you are older than 2 and are reading this then tantrums are most likely not appropriate.

The person living a Conscious Life chooses very deliberately how he or she will respond to an upsetting situation.  It is impossible to remove all troubles or concerns from a human life so upsetting situations will occur.  You cannot prevent that.  You can, however, control your response to those situations.

The best strategy for responding to upset is to have considered this before the upset occurs, when you are calmly assessing your life and your responses to stimuli.  Think about situations in your recent past that have been upsetting to you.  Did you respond in the moment the way you would respond today given time to be calm and consciously choose your response?  Or were you on unconscious automatic pilot?  Program into your tool box a new response to that situation so that, if it or something similar occurs again, you can choose a different response.  Think about your overriding values and decide that you will respond to upset in accordance with what you value highly and who you wish to be.

This is especially important in dealing with your family.  You might be a different problem-solver at work than the person who deals with upsetting situations at home.  Examine this honestly for yourself.  Can you bring some of those business skills home with you?  When you are tired do you react to your children’s antics differently from the way you react when you are rested and relaxed?  Do they understand the difference?  Think about your spouse or partner and how you react to things that they say.  Are you choosing a conscious reaction or are you being a recalcitrant child throwing a tantrum?

Be conscious.  Choose your behaviors for you do have control over those.  Plan your response to things that don’t go your way.  You become a Peacemaker when you are not the one throwing a childish tantrum!  Live a Conscious Life and you will be teaching others how to be a Peacemaker, too.

And so it is.

BOOK LIGHTS: from “Women Food and God: An Unexpected Path to Almost Everything”

“Think about a time when you were transported beyond what you normally define as yourself.  When time stopped.  When you felt the edges of ordinary life dissolve and a door open to another dimension.  Maybe it happened only once, when you were in the middle of a rain forest or gave birth to your child.  Maybe it happened when you were twenty and on drugs.  Maybe it happens whenever you are in nature or when, for no reason, you are suddenly happy.  Five minutes ago you were dragging your feet. The sun was too hot.  Your kids were screeching or your boss was yelling and you hated your life.  And suddenly you caught a glimpse of beauty and it’s as if someone opened the cage door and let you out of the iron vise of your mind.  And not one thing has changed from the moment before but everything looks and feels and is completely different.”

We all know that Joy is here, in this present moment.  Life sometimes causes us to forget, but it’s accessible.  Just remember…

MUSE-INGS: Reach Inside and Remember Joy Today!

The word ‘Joy’ brings up such wonderful thought-pictures, doesn’t it?  Think of a child and the Joy that child can find by delighting in such little things.  A small child doesn’t wake up feeling dread about the day to come.  That child is steeped in wonder as the day unfolds. Squatting down to watch some ants or a caterpillar on the sidewalk.  Blowing bubbles through a straw into a drink.  Running through a sprinkler in the summer or building a snowman in the winter. There is a certain Joy in being a carefree kid, isn’t there?

But then we lose that. We start school and worry about bullies and tests and book reports and best friends.  We’re afraid of the boogey man or the report card or the team coach. We start to live with disappointment and concern and fear and we forget how to be filled with Joy.

What happens to us? And who is there to teach us to go inside to find the Joy that puts all the outer circumstances into perspective?

I think we learn through the anxieties of adults around us that Joy is something that waits in the wings while we are living ‘life’ – standing by until there is a carefree moment again in which to experience Joy.  We’re allowed to feel that at our wedding, at the birth of a child, at a graduation.  But it’s reserved for big moments in our lives, not for everyday existence.  There is always something to do, something to get out of the way before we can relax and be Joy-full.

What if we decided to turn that all around and to seek Joy FIRST?  What if, right now, today, you decide that Joy comes first and then you’ll face everything else?  Do you think that you can do that?

If Joy is a decision, if Joy is something that you go inside to find, then why put off that search? What if, at this moment, you gave yourself permission to pause, to take a couple of deep breaths, to go inside no matter what is happening around you or what you have to face today, and you asked to connect to your inner Joy, even if only for a few minutes?  Why not try that right now?

It might be easier if you think of someone or something that brings you Joy and makes you smile, but it’s not difficult to find a moment of Joy inside.  And once you have touched it, bring that outside with you and look through the lens of Joy at what is going on, at what you must do today.

No matter what is happening, or how people are behaving around you, Joy is within you.  You ARE connected to Source, whether you are remembering that at the moment or not.  You can be busy and still have Joy inside you.  You can be happy and still have Joy inside you.  And you can be sad or upset and still have Joy inside you.

Too often we think that life must be a bowl of cherries all the time so that we can smile.  I’ve had people comment to me that we don’t understand because our lives are so great.  Yes, I have many blessings in my life but I’ve also had heartaches and problems. I just have chosen to define myself and my life by what is good about it.  I have chosen to meditate, to tap into something greater than myself so that my perspective comes from the ‘meta’ level, above the strife of everyday life. I see the patterns unfolding and I trust that the Universe has a Plan and that the Plan is unfolding as it must. And I remind myself that Joy comes from within.

You can reach that Joy no matter what your life looks like at the moment.  You are a timeless, spiritual being having a physical lifetime on Planet Earth so that you can learn lessons.  Some of those lessons are not as much fun to learn as others.  These lessons are a part of living a human life. But there is always Joy within you. There is always the spirit of the Inner You who remembers the connection to Source and to the Joy within.

Reach inside and remember Joy today!
