Welcome to the first Full Moon edition of the MoonLetter in this Wood Sheep Lunar Year!
Each Full Moon and New Moon we’ll be sending you guidance and inspiration about how best to connect with the energies of the Moon’s cycle to support you in living your richest life.
At this Full Moon, I have been working with my Lunar New Year crystal grid to activate the energies I need to manifest my dreams for this year. Here is a picture of what I have been led to create. Notice that our Lhasa Apso, Tara, loves to sit under this grid! Good energy there.
Sometimes I am led to sit and meditate in front of the grid. Sometimes I light the candles and other candles on a nearby table and eat a meal between the grid and the candles. Occasionally I am led to rearrange the crystals, or to add or subtract some.
Try creating a crystal grid for yourself. Focus on what you are releasing with this Full Moon. See if your pets want to be near it! They are sometimes smarter than we are.
Moon Message
“Be at peace with yourself and the process of your unfolding. You are a member of the team that is responsible for the unfolding Cosmic Plan and you know who you are to be so that everything can unfold as it is meant to develop. Tune into your Inner Wisdom and be led by what you know about yourself. Turn off the voices of others and listen to that voice inside that really KNOWS you. Be who you really are.”
Moon News
Happy Full Moon! The Full Moon happens on Thursday, March 5 at 1:05 pm Eastern Standard Time. At this time, the Moon is in Virgo and the Sun is in Pisces, opposite to the Moon. The Full Moon is the time in the Moon’s cycle where the Moon reflects the most light to the Earth from the Sun.
Crystals love to be bathed in the light of the Full Moon. Put your crystals out where the Moon can shine on them. (Or, in the case of those of us in the grip of winter, out in the snow or inside where the Moon’s energy can enter through the window!)
Bathe yourself in this Full Moon energy, too, by visualizing yourself drenched in Moonlight, if you can’t actually sit outside on the night of the Full Moon.
This is a time to let go, to release. From the day of the Full Moon until the New Moon the Moon is getting smaller in the sky, or waning. As the Moon appears to diminish, because it is reflecting less of the Sun’s light, we are invited to let go of old energy, thoughts, beliefs about ourselves and the way the Universe actually works.
Take out your beliefs and examine them under the light of this Full Moon. Do they serve the person you are becoming? Are they leftover from an earlier time that doesn’t fit with today?
What have you been thinking about doing that is blocked in some way by hidden or unconscious blocks? You might need some help to uncover these but now is a great time to let go of those blocks, release anything that is holding you back from expressing your excellence.
Get rid of ‘stuff,’ too. Clean out your closet. Give away clothes that don’t make you feel great when you wear them. (I am collecting clothes for the Light of Truth Center clothing sale so let me know if you would like to donate what you are clearing out!)
Do a ritual and meditation around letting go. Now is the time to do it!

THANKSGIVING TRANSFORMATION: Richard’s Commentary
December 3, 2014 — RichardThe title of Rosemary’s post of her poem, Butterfly, holds deep meaning in itself. Thanksgiving and Transformation aren’t words that go easily together, but if we give the pair a bit of thought there is more there.
We are now moving well into the last month of 2014. All the turkey trimmings are gone or put away. Is your sense of “thanksgiving” also put away with the November decorations, thrown out with the bones of the bird? Or do you practice gratitude all year long?
Rosemary’s second butterfly in her poem says: “Nothing is static. Nothing stays the same. The only constant is change.” Can we be grateful for every change? Can we look at every change as part of a greater transformation as explained by the third and smallest butterfly? This is the challenge the poem presents. It is the every day, small changes, moment to moment, that generate the transformations of our lives. And gratitude every day, moment to moment for those small changes leads to “thanksgiving transformation.”
Can you hear the vibration that rings between these two words? There is an echo between them, they are “light shadows” – we are thankful and we transform; we transform and we are thankful – every day and in every way. Thanksgiving Transformation is a state of being – continuous gratitude for the continuous state of change we experience. Thanksgiving Transformation is Life!
There is another pairing of words the squirrel of the poem brings to us: Presence and Preparation. These set up another vibration, the echo between being present in the moment, experiencing it fully, and being prepared for the next moment, that moment of change. It’s almost asking that we exist in two states at once; the dynamic about being prepared for tomorrow’s change while being fully present today is the challenge.
From the smallest change in our body chemistry, moment to tiny moment, to the great transforming changes in our lives, day-to-day, year-to-year, we are blessed. At the microcosmic level every moment is a miracle. And at cosmic scales, the beauty of the remnants of a supernova, as just one example, pictured here, are mind-boggling! I am in constant thanksgiving for all of it and all the blessings. I may not always be prepared for the coming changes, transformations, but I can truly give thanks for them!
Thanksgiving Transformation. You can’t have one without the other!
