Mystic Messages

Happy May! I love the beauty of May in the Mid-Atlantic States of the US, but I also had a chance to visit Portland, Oregon in the Pacific Northwest where the rhododendrons and azaleas are in bloom – magnificent! Nature’s beauty abounds!

Today’s theme is about seeing the beauty that is on the other side of Doorways of Opportunity. How easy it is to be afraid to step through the door but there is beauty on the other side, even if it is only the beauty of a lesson to be learned. Step through the Doorways of Opportunity that open up for you this week!

One that opened for me last week was a trip to Portland to use up a free airline ticket. What an opportunity! I had an amazing time with my beautiful ‘sister’ Linda Bard and the Conversation with The Other Side there was awesome! A group of fabulous folks joined us and the messages were special. Can’t wait to do it again! And I’ve made a bunch of new friends because I stepped through that doorway and flew across country for the weekend.

Bring in the beauty that you see through the doorway by stepping through to gather the flowers that are there. Enjoy the energy of that new beauty!

It’s May [almost]! That lovely time when we put out May baskets of flowers in Annapolis and enjoy the longer days and warmer temperatures, at least here in the Northern Hemisphere. I always feel as if I’ve emerged from the cave when the flowers bloom and skies are sunny. It’s as if depression is harder to do when the sun is out.

Does the weather affect you, too? In astrology, we talk about the ‘weather’ as defined by the positions of the planets. This week we’re still in the energy of the waxing [growing] Moon so you can use that energy to encourage growth in your life, business, relationships. Are you working on some new projects? Plant the seeds and build the energy this week.

Are you ready to discover what’s next for you? Lately my clients have been moving through the ‘letting go’ stage and moving into some amazing new adventures. We’re doing that here, too. Our 13-year-old grandson, Cody, has been going through boxes of old stuff and letting it go [so proud of him!]. We’re getting ready to go back to Colorado to continue to purge things that we won’t be moving to Maryland [anyone want to buy a beautiful white baby grand piano?].

It’s Springtime in Maryland which means flowers, pollen, baseball [did you see the picture I posted on facebook of Joshie playing his first game as catcher?] and Spring Cleaning. What are you clearing out of your closets and your life to make way for all the new energies entering in? [Or are you doing Fall Cleaning getting ready to enter the cave for the Winter?]

On Saturday, April 21st we have a New Moon, a time when the Sun and Moon are both in Taurus, loving beauty and order and ready to support you in sowing the seeds of your new projects. Watch them flower! The astrological energies will be helping you to be productive and successful.

As many of you know, I worked on NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope for a long time [in a former technical life!] and there are some amazing images still being delivered by this phenomenal mission. Here’s one from an active star-forming region in 30 Doradus within the Large Magellanic Cloud 170,000 light-years away from us. Isn’t it magnificent? This is called a ‘Turbulent Star-making Region’ and when I read those words I thought about how relevant they are to the work that I do now with clients. Often people come to me when there is some turbulence in their life and we work together to make them a Star on the stage of their life on Earth. My career change may have taken me beyond the technical field but I am still working as the Hubble – reaching beyond what’s obviously visible to the naked eye to seek possibilities from beyond the local distortions. What’s your theme? Are you choosing a theme for your life, your work, your family, for a period of time? I’ve been asking clients to choose a theme for the year 2012 and then again for each month and I invite you to do the same. My theme for 2012: Reach Out to More People. And for April: Decide. I am in the process of making decisions about new programs to offer, workshops to develop, how I can help people in different ways, and methods for accomplishing the year’s theme to reach out.

One of the best things you can do is to declare your theme publicly so that others can hold you in supportive energy while you do your work. Happy Passover! Happy Easter! Happy Full Moon! Happy Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC! Happy Mercury Retrograde is over! This is a big week!

Do you pay attention to the calendar and the happenings, both in the world around us and in the heavens? I suspect that, if you did the research, you could find at least 1 thing celebrated every day. For example, April 3rd was National Chocolate Mousse Day. We’re celebrating by taking chocolate mousse to our friends’ house this weekend. [OK, I didn’t know until I just researched it that there IS a national day celebrating my favorite dessert, and I didn’t really need a holiday to have chocolate mousse, but why not?]

The point is that every day can be a celebration. Lift yourself up into a celebratory mood and find something to celebrate, even if it is just that something as delicious as chocolate mousse exists! Life itself is a celebration because you are here on the Earth today.
