Hello and Happy New Year! Chinese New Year, that is. On Sunday, February 10th we have a New Moon [2:20 am Eastern Standard Time] and the start of the Chinese calendar. This is the Year of the Black Water Snake. There are lots of resources on the internet for information about your Chinese horoscope (our Doctor of Oriental Medicine in China emailed us what to expect for the Rooster/Richard and Rat/Rosemary). It’s fun to learn what other cultures can teach us. Here’s what I found in Wikipedia about Chinese New Year: “The Chinese New Year tradition is to reconcile, forget all grudges and sincerely wish peace and happiness for everyone.” Not a bad way to start the New Year!

Since this is the ‘News’ section I have to say, “Congratulations, Ravens!!!!!” We’re very excited around here that the Ravens won the Super Bowl!!! Maryland has been purple for weeks now. The Annapolis newspaper had a purple banner all weekend, teachers at schools have been wearing purple and Ravens jerseys with their favorite players’ number on them, the checkers at the grocery store are in purple. It’s everywhere! And it’s my favorite color. So there’s been a lot of celebration energy and it’s infectious. [Sorry if you were rooting for the 49ers. They’re great, too, but this was the Purple Year.]
Be Bold. Step Out. Take Action. The Time is NOW!!! And then, just as we’re doing for the Ravens, CELEBRATE YOUR SUCCESS!!!
