An individual can no longer consider himself or herself to be a separate entity, one who can make choices without affecting the rest of humanity. No human being is a totally separate entity. In fact, no one ever has been, but the connections have not been as vast as they are in the 21st Century.
Each individual must consider the repercussions of every action that they take, not only on their immediate environment but also on the Planet as a whole and on all the other peoples of Earth. Every step upon the Planet leaves an impact. We are not talking here of just the environment as Nature and soil and air and water. No, we are talking as well about the energetic environment on Planet Earth. When a person or a group of people engage in activities that stir up hatred and dissension that energy has a ripple effect around the Earth. And when a person or a group of people engage in activities that generate peace and love that energy, too, has an effect around the world.
Imagine that you are one individual who can affect the energy of the entire world with your thoughts and actions and the energy that you generate. Why would you then generate negative energy, or hatred, or anger and let that energy move around the Planet affecting the whole world? But if you focused your thoughts and activities on generating peace and love and acceptance and tolerance, imagine the impact that would be felt around the Planet.
Do not think that one person can have no impact on all the others on the Planet or on the Planet herself. Think of those individuals who have single-handedly led groups of people into slaughtering other groups, or who have created economic conditions that caused the death of many people. In the 21st Century there are those who are having such an effect in their countries that many people are dying because of politics or the exercise of power or the greed of leaders. If one person can have a vast effect in the negative sense, then the laws of energy would indicate that one person can also have a vast effect in a positive way.
Be that one person yourself. You do not have to be in the news programs. You do not have to be or become famous. You do not have to be wealthy. Focus your energy on being peace and love and acceptance and tolerance, to those immediately around you and in a general sense toward the whole world. Your example will inspire others. When you treat those around you with these energies they will, in turn, spread that vibration of energy to their circle.
Be careful of your speech. Catch yourself before you utter the words that would counteract the energy of peace and love. Notice how your speech patterns are reflecting the energy of peace and love. Consciously choose to think and speak of these higher vibrations.
We do not say this only for the good of the Planet Earth. There is a benefit to you as an individual as well, for the vibration that you cast into the atmosphere around you is multiplied and returned to you magnified – be careful what level of vibration you cast into the atmosphere!
And so it is.

MUSE-INGS: What You Give, You Receive
March 16, 2010 — RosemaryEach of us CAN have a great impact on the world around us but it is so easy to become insular and forgetful of our place in the greater scheme of things. Sometimes it feels as if we are alone, sometimes as if the crowds are crushing us, and sometimes we can feel both at the same time. Yet we can choose to ‘be peace’ in a particular situation and to reap the benefits of that.
It is true that we receive as we give out. What we give we get back multiplied. This applies not just with money but with words, with energies. We treat someone nicely and they treat the next person nicely, and the next person we encounter treats us nicely. It is very simple, really.
On a grander scheme, if we meditate on Peace and Love, we enhance the energy of those vibrations. There are studies showing the impact a group of meditators can have on the crime rate of a city, and it takes only 1 % of the residents meditating to have that positive impact. If you and I agree that on a certain day we will focus on Peace for 5 minutes, imagine the impact we could have. What if we each got 10 people to do that, and each of them got 10 people to do it, too? We could have an impact. As a matter of fact, I think I will propose this project on Facebook and choose a time, such as the Spring Equinox or Summer Solstice, where everyone can pause for 5 minutes and focus on Peace for Planet Earth. If we all did this, and invited our friends to join us, we could have a rolling 5 minutes of Peace around the Planet for every time zone just as the Equinox or Solstice peaked.
So what can you do every day to participate in sharing the frequency of Peace and Love in your immediate world? Can you greet people from a place of acceptance in your heart? Can you drive your vehicle with tolerance and love toward others on the road? How about picking up the telephone and calling someone just to let them know you were thinking of them with love or fondness? How about, instead of raging at someone who has made a mistake or who has frustrated you today, you choose to take a deep breath and then create in your mind a reason why they might have done that and forgive them?
It doesn’t take long before acting this way becomes a habit. You can shift your automatic pilot to react with peaceful feelings if you become aware of your instinctual reactions and pause before you act on them. Learning to ‘hit the pause button’ is the first step to Conscious Living. Focus this week on catching yourself about to slip into some negative energy and refocus that energy in a positive direction. Wouldn’t you expect to have a positive week if that’s what kind of energy you put out there?
As a caveat, please do not equate a week of ‘smooth sailing’ with no glitches to be a positive week. Those are nice, but Life brings with it many challenges, big and small. It is not about what is thrown at us, but about how we respond to those challenges that make us evolving, conscious human beings. Choose to respond in a positive fashion and others will react to you this way.
As an example, I had a frustrating visit to a 5-star hotel in California this week. It started with my entering my assigned room and finding it already occupied, including dog! There were several other mishaps and frustrations but I tried to maintain a peaceful attitude and asked specifically for the remedies I expected, all the while being friendly to the staff with whom I was interacting. In every case they took care to offer me more than adequate recompense. I suspect that if I had stormed and screamed they would not have been so generous. And others who had problems were reluctant to bring it to the attention of management, but this is not spreading peace because they were feeling extreme frustration and anger.
So choose how you react to what comes to you in Life. And choose that that reaction be one that spreads the vibration of Peace and Love around you. The Planet will thank you and you will receive the benefits.
