Happy New Moon!  I love the energy of the New Moon as she brings us an opportunity for a fresh start.  It’s as if she is beaming her wonderful Moon energy to us without the Sun’s reflection so that we can be blessed into something new in our life.  What are you wishing you could bring into your life in the next two weeks?  What would you like to start or re-start?  Now is the time to do it!  Let the Moon support you as she grows brighter each night in the Spring sky.

In the US we’re getting ready to celebrate Mothers’ Day, a time to honor our mothers and those who have been like a mother to us.  I received a Mother’s Day card from a very sweet boy who is my ‘adopted’ grandson – the card was addressed to ‘Grandma Mimi.’  There is nothing sweeter, whether it’s from my biological grandchildren or my adopted ones, than hearing ‘Grandma Mimi’ come from them!  To all the mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, aunts, sisters, daughters out there, I send you a special warm blessing on this Mothers’ Day!

Remember that Mercury goes Direct on May 11 at 4:27 pm Mountain Time.  Hallelujah!!!  This means that the planet Mercury appears to pause in it’s backward motion, as viewed from Earth, and starts to go forward again.  Communications should improve, contracts should be clearer, and we can all breathe a collective sigh of relief!  The New Moon is on Friday, May 14th so use the waning moon to help you release that which doesn’t fit in your life anymore.

We are in the waning phase of the Moon after the beautiful Full Moon on Wednesday, April 28th.  Go ahead and release what is no longer serving you and your personal growth.  There is a Repeat Boutique in CO Springs that is accepting goods and the Boutique is for the benefit of the Peace & Justice Council – an opportunity to give away something that doesn’t serve you so that it can serve another, and the event benefits a good cause.  I’m sure there are opportunities like this where you are.  This might be a good time to find those opportunities and support them.

Happy May Day on Saturday, May 1st!  Will you hang a basket of flowers on your door as they do on Main Street in Annapolis, MD?  Will you celebrate the blossoms by putting flowers on your table or desk?  Enjoy the return of the blossoms by enjoying some in your environment.  Let the fragrance remind you to breathe and the beauty remind you to relax.

We’re in the Mercury Retrograde so notice how communications might be garbled around you.  Although it only appears that Mercury is traveling backward when viewed from Earth, many of us do notice its effect on our lives.  Be careful when you are signing contracts, as you must examine them closely until Mercury goes direct May 11.

Greetings from beautiful Alma, CO!  I’m here on a private retreat, staying at a lovely B&B and enjoying the snow-covered mountains that surround the place.  I’m also learning how to live at 10,500 feet elevation, and I’m not too fond of the 6700 feet where our home is.  I saw more stars in the sky last night than I had remembered from previous experiences beyond city lights – New Moon and out in the middle of nowhere [population Alma = 200] so that was a bonus.

I’m getting ready for the workshop/playshop next weekend: Conscious Confidence Workshop, April 24-25 in Colorado Springs.  There are still a few places left so check out the details at:

Enjoy this New Moon energy and invite in something new as the Moon waxes toward Full.  Mercury goes retrograde this weekend – Saturday, April 17 at 10:06PM MDT.  A retrograde period is when a planet appears to us Earthlings as if its motion is backwards.  During a Mercury retrograde, be careful about communications for they are often garbled and don’t come out the way we intend them.  This is also a time when contracts can be less than perfect so avoid signing anything important until after May 11.  If you have to sign something, make sure you triple check every detail!

How are YOU giving yourself time for a personal retreat, even if you can’t take a few days to enjoy the mountains?  We can always use some time to ourselves so be sure to grant yourself even a short time of retreat when you can!

Spring!  I’ve been talking about Spring every week lately but I love the energy of this time of year.  There’s such vibrancy in the air.  Even when it snowed recently it was one of those delicious snows that melts quickly into the grass and brings with it the promise of a green lawn soon.  I’m still waiting for the flowers to start blossoming here in Colorado but have already had a taste of Spring – cherry blossoms, forsythia, daffodils – over Easter in Maryland.  I get to enjoy 2 Springs this year as it will arrive here soon!

I hope you are enjoying the energy where you are.  Are you ‘down under’ and getting ready for Autumn, my other favorite season?  Wherever you live, this is a good time to examine where you are in your life and what changes you feel will support your growth at this time.  Are you ready to release something that no longer serves you?  Are you thinking about making some changes in your work or where you live?  Notice that there is a New Moon on Wednesday April 14th that invites you to spend the first few days of the week getting rid of the old and then inviting in the new with the energies of the New Moon.

Happy Spring holidays/holy days!  Whatever you celebrate there is a sense of new life around when there are flowers in bloom and blue skies with sunshine to kiss you!  We’re in Annapolis, Maryland to celebrate Easter with the MD family and the grandkids.  It was fun being in LA at the beginning of the week and then flying over home in Colorado to arrive in Maryland for the holiday.  I hear there’s to be snow at home but it’s warm where we are so I’m happy today.

Richard and I attended the ‘Rejuvenate Your Practice’ seminar over the weekend and met some amazing holistic practitioners who are also learning ‘heartselling’ instead of ‘hard selling’ to bring their services to more people.  We’re excited about learning these techniques to help even more folks learn to manifest their inner greatness to the world and to live Conscious Lives.  Of course, it’s always wonderful to visit Southern California in the springtime!

Spring is officially here and we have the remnants of our 10 inches of snow on the lawn!  But as a dear friend said the other day, ‘Every Spring we get one good snow storm and when the snow melts the grass has started to turn green.’  We’re hoping that this was the storm that will turn the grass back to green!

Pay attention to the Full Moon on March 29th as this brings us the balance of the scales of Libra [Moon] with the fire of new beginnings and energetic movement of Aries [Sun].  The equinox last week showed us about balance in our life, the balance of going with the flow and staying centered in our own inner stillness.  Now we have the energy to move forward coupled with the balance of being still inside.  This is a powerful place to be for inner power does come from inside each of us.  And remember that the Full Moon is always a good time to get rid of what we don’t need, a true Spring Cleaning!

It’s finally here!  The Spring Equinox is Saturday, March 20th, at 11:32 AM MDT.  And we are expecting up to 5 inches of snow!  The Spring weather is fickle in Colorado.  It is 70 degrees one day and snowing the next.  But the grass loves the moisture as it starts to wake up.  The waterfall on the pond is running again.  More birds are at the feeders these days.  Is there anyone who does not get excited by the new life of springtime?

Spring is in the air and everyone seems excited at the prospect of all the new life that starts springing into our awareness.  The first flowers, the buds on the trees, the animal babies that start appearing, the birds that come back for the summer.  These are all so exciting when they capture our attention.
