ROSEMARY’S EXPLORATION: What’s Your MESSAGE?

Each of us is put on Planet Earth for a reason. We have someone important to BE. Our Soul agreed with the Souls around us to play a certain role in every interaction. When you figure out who you came to Earth to be, your message to others grows out of who you are BEing.

How often have you been caught up in DOing so much that you haven’t have time to think about anything except putting one foot in front of the other and getting through the day? Happens to everyone occasionally. But if you are living your daily life like this you are missing your own message, to yourself and to the world.

Sit with yourself for a few minutes and ask yourself these two questions:
1) What is MY MESSAGE to the world? And, then,
2) Am I living MY MESSAGE in my daily life?

Bob Sima, a transformational musician, has a great message for his latest CD – Put a Little More Love in the World – and Bob lives his message as he travels around the world sharing his amazing music. Everyone who encounters his gifts knows that he is living this message.

Are you clear about YOUR MESSAGE? Do you know what you want to tell the world? Think about what you would say if you knew this were your last day on Planet Earth. What would you broadcast on a radio show to the world that day? What would you want the rest of the world to know, to ponder, to act on?

What do you feel about the gifts you have been given and how you are sharing those in the world? Are you living your message?

When you ask yourself these two questions you start to glimpse how you fit into the bigger picture of what is going on in 21st Century Earth life.

You HAVE a message to share, based on your gifts, talents and purpose. Your responsibility to all those other Souls is to crystallize that message and get it out into the world. You don’t have to write songs to share your message. Live it first!

You don’t have to be famous or have a radio show or write books to share your message to the world. I think of our daughter who is an Occupational Therapist and who works with infants and toddlers with challenges, coaching the parents on how to interact with their children in the most beneficial way. She LOVES those kids with all her heart. Her message to the parents is to bring out the best in the children through love and knowledge of what to do.

Every one of us is a child within an adult and we are looking for someone to help us to be the best we can be. If your gift is to help another person and you continue to hide or to avoid reaching out because you aren’t sure of your message, then you are not serving in the highest way that you are meant to serve. If you are seeking help and don’t know where to find it, look inside yourself to your own purpose, gifts, and talents. Share your own message and you will attract others who have the very message that you are seeking/needing to hear.

Live your message this week. Ask for help if you need to get clarity on what your message, purpose, gifts and talents are. Other Souls are waiting for you.

MUSE-INGS: “Lift the Basket from your gifts!” by Rosemary Bredeson

If I were to ask you to make a list of your gifts, would you be able to do that?  Right now, writing them down?  Or would you have to ponder this and listen to that little voice inside your head that puts you down for thinking that you are ‘gifted’?

You DO have gifts.  Not everyone is a Mozart but everyone IS the composer of their own life.  You string together the notes of the melody by the choices that you make every day.  Big and little choices.  Are they harmonious?  Or do they seem discordant at times?  The harmonious times are the ones in which you are living with and sharing your gifts so that you are in flow with the World around you.

I know people who have the gift of peacemaking – they are able to mediate disputes, to settle arguments, to smooth ruffled feathers.  How upsetting situations could be around them if they kept their mouths shut and refused to negotiate peace.  Others have the gift of being incisive and organized and they share that gift with others.  Still others are musicians who play for the joy of the sharing.

Your gifts don’t have to be shared in your occupation or your work. You don’t have to go into business sharing your gifts, although you can.  Sometimes your greatest gift is to be shared with the people who are closest to you, those you live with, your family.  Search your inner self and be honest as you identify, accept and value your own gifts.

Look at your childhood.  What talents and gifts did you display?  Were you always drawing pictures?  Maybe you are creative at problem solving rather than painting art.  Were you always building something, from blocks, your Erector Set, model kits?  Perhaps your gift is to be the architect of new solutions to old problems, building computers or software, building structure out of chaos.

I used to play Catholic priest.  OK, I was a girl and the Church wouldn’t ordain me but that didn’t change the fact that I was always the one who lined up the neighborhood kids and played ‘Communion,’ where I would give them Necco Wafers instead of the host.  I went on to be ordained but not by the Catholic Church and Communion isn’t Necco Wafers but I do feel I have a gift as a spiritual teacher.

In my childhood I also saw things that others couldn’t see.  This was the seed of the intuitive gifts that I now use in my work as an intuitive coach and medium.  Imaginary friends are glimpses through the veil between dimensions and indicate gifts of a special kind of ‘sight’ in kids who have these friends.  Our granddaughter, when she was a crawling infant, used to comfort the other kids at day care when they got upset.  The nurse at the center said they called Makayla their ‘little healer’ because she could calm a screaming baby with a look or a touch.  All this before she could even walk!  Makayla does have a gift of healing that was evident as a tiny infant.

So what is your gift?  What gifts do you have that you have been hiding under a basket?  Maybe it is time now for you to lift the basket and share your gifts.

These gifts are meant to be given!  Thank you for sharing your gifts with the rest of us.

MUSE-INGS: What’s your ‘Why’?

I have never thought of the cave people as ‘artists’ but this message brings a new light to that word, doesn’t it?  Of course, I have seen cave paintings and petroglyphs but I hadn’t thought about the division of labor beginning back in the days of the cave dwellers.  I am intrigued by the idea that we each have talents and it helps society for us to determine what those talents are.  Self-examination as an aid to society as a whole.  Hmmmm…..

So where are your talents?  I can play the piano, a bit, but I’m not as good [by any measure!] as my friend, Cindy, who is a professional musician.  I can cook a decent meal but I’m not as good as my nephew, Jonathan, the chef.  Does comparing myself to others help anybody?  I don’t think so.

Each of us has a Life Purpose that defines the ‘why’ of our being here at this moment in the history of Planet Earth.  For some of the cave dwellers, they were the chroniclers of their people’s existence.  Maybe there was some elaborate communication going on and they were the ones who helped to educate the next group of people who came along.  What is your ‘why’?

Have you ever examined this question?  Have you asked yourself the ‘why’ and the ‘who’?  Or have you focused on the ‘what’ you came to Earth to DO?  I suspect that most of us have been answering this question since we were tiny tots – ‘What do you want to do when you grow up?’  Sometimes it’s couched as ‘What do you want to BE when you grow up?’ but isn’t that the same thing? A doctor.  A firefighter.  A vet.  A teacher.    But there’s a more important question to ask ourselves as adults – ‘WHO did I come here to BE?’

The way to answer that question is to look at some other questions.  ‘Why did I come to Earth at this time?’  is one of those questions.  ‘What are my talents and my dreams?’ is another one.  The important thing is to ASK questions of ourselves.  This is the most important aspect of living a Conscious Life.

When we slide through our days without questioning ourselves we do a disservice to all of society.  Think about the context of your Life.  You are alive on Planet Earth at the same moment as all of the others on Earth today have chosen to be here.  Each of you has a personal Life Purpose for your existence.  All of you have agreed to be here at the same time.  What if you chose not to search for your purpose?  What if you told all of the other people, billions of them, that you were not going to show up for your mission on Earth?  And how would you feel if someone told you that they were not going to fulfill their Life Purpose even though you are depending on them to do just that?

It’s interesting to ponder the web that humanity has woven by choosing to be contemporaries on Planet Earth.  Each person has a responsibility to be the someone that their Higher Self knows them to be.

The first step in living your Life Purpose is to discover what it is.  Do the self-examination that requires.  Ask for help if you need it.  There are many ways to uncover this but don’t let another week go by without doing some self-
examination.  Find out your personal ‘why.’  It could change your Life!

THIS WEEK’S MYSTIC MESSAGE from The Divine Feminine: Where do your talents lie?

Dear Ones,

In the beginning of human history, people were struggling to exist.  Their days were spent in pursuit of food, shelter and protection from enemies.  There was not much energy or time left over for subtleties or leisure.  But they did create art.  The cavemen and women drew pictures to record what was happening in their lives and they used pictures to communicate with each other before language, spoken or written, was available to them.

These early humans adorned their bodies to show prowess or status or to attract a mate.  They appreciated that some of their people had more artistic talent than others and thus duties were assigned based on innate talents and interests.  People started to create a division of labor so that a band of people could exist in a more organized and more successful manner.

If you fast forward to the 21st Century, what do you find?  People find themselves being forced into jobs with duties that may or may not align with their talents and interests.  People are busy making money to buy necessities and entertainment and spend their energy so that they have little time for creative pursuits.  Some people have not taken the time to determine where their talents lie because they have spent all their time and energy pursuing either work or pleasure as defined by society, peers and advertizing.

We wish that more people would take the time to examine their lives, to examine their inner being and to determine where their innate talents lie, what their Life Purpose is and who they incarnated on Planet Earth to be.  This kind of self-examination requires some time and dedication to perform.  It also requires that one care about the results.  Many people today are locked in a flow that does not permit time or energy to ask the questions that need to be asked.

We are not talking about those people who are working many jobs just to obtain shelter and food and the necessities of life for their families, for they are doing the best they can.  But there are many others who, if awakened to possibilities, could do this self-examination and who would then have more self-empowerment and, ultimately, more life success.  Who are these people?  And are you one of them?  Every person can lead a conscious life by examining who they are and who they were born to be.

Self-examination is not the scary thing that some make it out to be.  This is not taking a test and worrying about failing.  Indeed, failing to do the self-examination we are talking about creates a limited life – why choose that?  The first question to ask is, ‘What is my Life Purpose?  Who did I come to Planet Earth to BE?’  Sometimes you might need help in pursuing these answers but asking the question is the first step.

Once you have an idea of your true Life Purpose you must then ask yourself where your talents lie, where your dreams are pointing.  No one comes to Earth with a Life Purpose of being unhappy.  Many find that unhappiness is a part of life for a specific time, but it is not your Purpose in being born.  If you are unhappy, could it be that you are not living your Life Purpose?  We are not talking about your job or your career, but the real essence of your being incarnate on Planet Earth in this moment.  Are your choices in Life consistent with realizing your Life Purpose?

Your job or career might be the vehicle that allows you to pursue your Life Purpose but we are asking you to examine your Life so that you can make a conscious choice about what you are doing and who you are being.  The cave people were busy searching for food and shelter but they did look at who was the best at which tasks and they made decisions based on those talents.  Think about your Life and whether or not you are utilizing your talents.  Be the creative person that every human being incarnates to be.  You don’t have to paint cave pictures, or pictures of any kind, but if your creative talents lie in problem solving, then make sure you are using those talents.  If your creative talents are in raising children, or teaching others, or writing or painting or sculpting or programming computers, then use those talents.  Even if, for the moment, the job you are engaged in is merely a means to pay your bills, don’t allow it to swallow up your Life and your energy and your time.  Create your Life.

Follow your talents, and, if appropriate, paint the walls with pictures that tell others about your Life.

And so it is.
