The Transformation Energy is really strong around here! Every day there is some new thought, some new concept to flesh out and implement, some new program to offer. And I am seeing this with clients, too. The messages are about change that is coming for them and how to handle that change.
Are you someone who easily and openly embraces change or is it a struggle for you to deal with change when it is thrust upon you? I believe there are people who answer both ways to that question. For those who find it easy to embrace change their lesson comes in discerning the changes that are appropriate for them. Some people like change for the sake of change and are learning to stay focused, to deepen their experience of something before they move on. Some have trouble with commitment and so they embrace the opportunity for change as an escape route away from ‘being stuck.’ Some folks struggle with discontent over what is and wish to change to escape what they are experiencing rather than learn the lessons available to them before they change the circumstances.
And then there are those who do not want any change at all. They are happily wedded to the status quo and choose not to change anything, even a little. Often times those who run from change are running from something else within themselves, usually fear, often an unexamined fear. In this category are people who have become familiar with pain and they fear the unknown so they stay with the familiar, even if it is painful. It is often difficult for these people to embrace change, even if they want to or know it would be beneficial.
So when The Divine Feminine tells us that this year is about Transformation Energy, how do we embrace that concept no matter what our relationship to ‘change’ might be?
The first place to start is by understanding that, as evolving sentient beings we are always undergoing change within ourselves. Our physical cells are dying and being replaced every moment we exist. With every new experience we have new information in our mental data bases with which to approach every situation. We are aging, we are learning new things, and the people around us are also developing. To fight Transformation is to attempt to stem a tide that is already pulling us along. Change isn’t necessarily bad just because it brings with it something different.
And change isn’t necessarily good just because it brings with it something different. Some times what we are doing or being doesn’t need to change.
The important aspect of Transformation is that it occurs in our consciousness first. We change how we think or what we believe to be true. We examine ourselves in a context and we look for underlying reasons for behaviors and actions. We become truly conscious and aware and ask questions rather than choosing to act out of habit. It might be that in certain instances we choose not to change but that choice is made after careful consideration–it becomes a conscious choice about ourselves and our life. That is Conscious Living. Being deliberate. Noticing in every moment where our thoughts and behaviors originate. Do I really believe this or did someone else plant their belief in me? Is what used to be true for me still true today or in this circumstance? Am I choosing to change at this time because I wish to move forward toward something new or am I running away from something familiar?
When Transformation Energy is available to us we can embrace it with open arms but we must also examine what and why we’re transforming with that energy. Learning how to use this energy is part of growing on the path of Conscious Living.

BOOK LIGHTS: From “Notes from the Universe” by Mike Dooley
January 29, 2010 — RosemaryYou cannot significantly change your life, for better or worse, by manipulating the material world. Not by working harder, not by studying longer, not by schmoozing, not by sweating, not by fasting, not by the hair of your chinny, chin, chin.
But change, great change, is inescapable, when you first begin manipulating the world of your thoughts, which weigh a whole lot less than material things, anyway.
It’s that simple.
— The Universe”
Change your thoughts, change the world. That tag line has been on my business card for a long time but I’ve recently changed it to: Expand Your Mind * Empower Your Life * Evolve The World. Every change we make has to happen in our thoughts first. And then the impact is not just on us and our world, but on everything around us, the whole Planet. Time to get in touch with what we’re REALLY thinking and believing, wouldn’t you say?
