MUSE-INGS: What’s your ‘Why’?

I have never thought of the cave people as ‘artists’ but this message brings a new light to that word, doesn’t it?  Of course, I have seen cave paintings and petroglyphs but I hadn’t thought about the division of labor beginning back in the days of the cave dwellers.  I am intrigued by the idea that we each have talents and it helps society for us to determine what those talents are.  Self-examination as an aid to society as a whole.  Hmmmm…..

So where are your talents?  I can play the piano, a bit, but I’m not as good [by any measure!] as my friend, Cindy, who is a professional musician.  I can cook a decent meal but I’m not as good as my nephew, Jonathan, the chef.  Does comparing myself to others help anybody?  I don’t think so.

Each of us has a Life Purpose that defines the ‘why’ of our being here at this moment in the history of Planet Earth.  For some of the cave dwellers, they were the chroniclers of their people’s existence.  Maybe there was some elaborate communication going on and they were the ones who helped to educate the next group of people who came along.  What is your ‘why’?

Have you ever examined this question?  Have you asked yourself the ‘why’ and the ‘who’?  Or have you focused on the ‘what’ you came to Earth to DO?  I suspect that most of us have been answering this question since we were tiny tots – ‘What do you want to do when you grow up?’  Sometimes it’s couched as ‘What do you want to BE when you grow up?’ but isn’t that the same thing? A doctor.  A firefighter.  A vet.  A teacher.    But there’s a more important question to ask ourselves as adults – ‘WHO did I come here to BE?’

The way to answer that question is to look at some other questions.  ‘Why did I come to Earth at this time?’  is one of those questions.  ‘What are my talents and my dreams?’ is another one.  The important thing is to ASK questions of ourselves.  This is the most important aspect of living a Conscious Life.

When we slide through our days without questioning ourselves we do a disservice to all of society.  Think about the context of your Life.  You are alive on Planet Earth at the same moment as all of the others on Earth today have chosen to be here.  Each of you has a personal Life Purpose for your existence.  All of you have agreed to be here at the same time.  What if you chose not to search for your purpose?  What if you told all of the other people, billions of them, that you were not going to show up for your mission on Earth?  And how would you feel if someone told you that they were not going to fulfill their Life Purpose even though you are depending on them to do just that?

It’s interesting to ponder the web that humanity has woven by choosing to be contemporaries on Planet Earth.  Each person has a responsibility to be the someone that their Higher Self knows them to be.

The first step in living your Life Purpose is to discover what it is.  Do the self-examination that requires.  Ask for help if you need it.  There are many ways to uncover this but don’t let another week go by without doing some self-
examination.  Find out your personal ‘why.’  It could change your Life!
